@@dam11232 Only sometimes they plant evidence torture false confessions out of children. Intimidate coerce confessions out of innocent people all the time. Suppress exculpatory evidence ignore allibys. And majority of academy is about loopholing way into cause tricking people gaming system. And even pretending like they play by book everyone has that moment where they are going 2-3 mph over speed limit or 2-3 mph under can also be "impeding traffic" and give them cause stay a minute past there meter. Hell they can just simply demand id and arrest you for not having it. But once your in they got you. Its actually one of reasons why when questioning people of "interest". Like store was just robbed they refuse to give description second they get person was 6ft to 6ft 5in and your like well I am 5ft says so on license. Their "cause" to stop/interact with you is killed. There is a reason why most cases end in plea deals bad little or no evidence at all "just the cop gut feeling". So they arrest you intimidate hell at you lie about witnesses show a bunch of fake evidence. Threaten you with decades of jail leave you to stew average person doesn't handle stress very well. Your hungry afraid have to go to bathroom roughed up in pain from arrest. Then appears a "ally" this friend that wants to help you out they got you really good deal instead of decades you will only spend decade. And with good behavior I bet we can get that down to 5yrs. So you take your saviors deal and confess sign away rights for a trial and poof thats modern criminal justice. They actually did studys where they did it to people that were KNOWN innocent but didn't tell cops. And it was still like they could get almost 90% of people to sign confession.

Um, the Patriot Act specifically allows the US government to classify someone as "an Enemy Combatant" in which case, this person no longer fall under the jurisdiction of US courts but falls under the jurisdiction of military tribunals which have a whole different set of rules. Effectively, a US citizen can be stripped of their rights if the US government classifies them as an enemy combatant. Now, I'm sure someone will say "well a good lawyer will be able to fight that in court", but they ignore the fact that enemy combatants are not afforded lawyers or due process and are often rendered to jurisdictions where things like torture is perfectly legal.

@@abbeychase4718 what you said may be true. However, the witness would have to first be classified as an enemy combatant by the President- which probably didn't happen here. She'd probably need to be be given the smallest amount of due process and at least be told that she has officially been stripped of her Constitutional rights- probably in a court room with counsel. I don't think she'd be immediately taken to a windowless room and denied counsel within minutes or hours of being apprehended. Even after being classified, enemy combatants do get some due process. Alternatively, the FBI could pursue illegal questioning of her to get to another suspect.

@@s.r.robinson500 The President doesn't decide who is an enemy combatant or not. The DHS, the US Defense Department, the FBI, etc... all have 'lawyers' who jobs it is to look at a request for classification and based on what is basically a checklist, are able to declare someone an enemy combatant. Enemy combatants literally get no due process other than a military court.

That's why in the constitution it says you should keep a regulated milita... A milita is basically made up of citizens with the sole aim of checking the government Incase they ever abuse or misuse their power.

@@SaucyJack. One thing I've never understood about people who usually support Second Amendment rights in the United States also support a strong military and powerful intelligence agencies. So of the government goes horribly wrong, they want the ability to resist the government but they've also made it so the government is too strong to resist .

@@ultimate8673 YES. The ending was perfect & surpassed all expectations. I am aware there will be no season 5 😢 but sometimes it's fun to imagine what happens to the characters after the finale.

Sam Esmail said that they spend some time apart after the ending. After that, they go back to each other and ultimately end up together.

The only theory he debunked was the one about Dom's plane crashing. So I guess Dom is on a vacation till FBI clears her name & she can see her family. Still I'd like to know what happens next? What Elliot does after "waking up"? Does Darlene take up Dom's offer of working in US Cyber-command? or she teams up with Leon? TBH that cyber-command job offer fits Elliot more than Darlene. I just can't picture her working a 9to5 job 😆
