NEAS general cargo ship Sivumut somehow ended up with 20 containers and other cargo in the waters of Frobisher Bay off Iqualuit. Thoughts are that the cargo came off a barge that sunk?!
Since the north lacks roads, bulky cargo, like vehicles and building suppllies get shipped in every summer, with long lead times. Loss of this cargo will be a huge problem - both the cleanup, and the impact of the cargo loss on the community.
