Everyone thinking May 32nd is a mistake doesn't understand the mind of Catfish Dave. He's clever as a fox. He's getting more comments on the video. Pure genius!
It’s not just variety, it’s the challenge finding them. Most of us live for that challenge it make us somewhat who we are and putting the knowledge of what we’ve learned in life. The satisfaction that we live for and need. Now this could be just bullshit and my fingers are just typing away. Thank for your time on the water and these great videos that’s where I get some of my satisfaction watching them.
Dave’s a time traveler and uses his videos to let us know about his future. He’s probably already enjoyed Memorial Day. Think his boater washer got his gears meshed out of rhythm. Can’t blame him.
My wife's uncle would be proud of you Dave, he worked for Oscar Mayer for decades. Don't forget, when you run short of bait, Oscar Mayer makes a great bait, uncured cheese stuffed hot dogs. . . . . you'd be surprised how well they work in a pinch.
Awesome video Dave, I'm here in Central Indiana, I heard the bite was on at Salimonie near Gas City, I just need to find a Fiddle player to go with me!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just read one of the comments about Dave switching up the dates and I was thinking he does it on purpose to write for the comments and that’s what someone else posted. good job Dave keep it up. Congratulations on the hundred thousand subs.
You either on fish or you ain’t. And what’s this white patches on the side of your face? Sunscreen? And who cares if it’s the same spot on the screen. Atleast they at catching teens
When I was a kid they had hook sharpeners everywhere that were about 3" long about1/4" wide and had a triangular cross section with a little groove down the center of each side. You didn't even use the groves. You could get a hook sharp quick and easy. Now you can't find them and all the hook sharpeners they sell nowadays are too big to get behind the tip of the hook
Hello Dave. What is your opinion of the Okuma CDX-80 reel and Okuma Battle Cat rod 8' heavy? I do a lot of shore fishing and there are usually trees around so longer poles probably aren't in my best interest. I like the Mad Katz but they are 7-6" and medium heavy. I fish the Colorado River and 70 lb fish would be rare. Though there are 40-50 lb caught a lot. Is the extra length and the heavy power a big deal?
Ive been catching all males, and occasionally a female. The fishing has been terrible in the Ohio River. I went yesterday and the parking lot was completely full. I counted 47 cars. It gets heavily pressured everyday. I was fishing a chug and plug for topwater stripers and got a huge blowup and he broke me off. 30lb basspro excel. Ive got my line broke more this year using excel, than ive ever got my line broke in my life!! I lost a huge smallmouth bass using 15lb excel, brand new, then i retied and got my line broke again.
I never seen a cat fisherman sharpen a hook. Must be big business to be out there sharpening hooks. I catch many a fish from the same Ol hook. Shoot sometime I go w whole season without changing hooks or line. Sometimes I don’t even have to re tie I set the hook so good
Is it just me or does anyone else want him to hit the free spool on his reel after he gets a fish netted? He sets the rod down when it gets in the net... if that fish gets out that whole rig could be lost and also its putting that rod at risk not hitting free spool. Just my thoughts.
Dave, I have been following you for years quietly till now. I've never had a reason to bug you. I have come home to Ohio for a month (Gallipolis), and it has been 40 years. Any advice on fishing the Ohio River where Raccoon Creek spills into it? I'm assuming my saltwater gear from the Coast of Alabama will be too large. Bait and hook size would be a blessing. I'm out of my environment
I can hear you wheezing there Dave while you're dealing with them nice size fish. Maybe you oughta get the Doc to have a listen to 'em. I'm just saying.
Balogny is bachelor round steak. You know Dave, you could always get a big black 55 gallon contractors bag and put over your boat seat to keep it dry. You can also use them as a poncho if needed. Keep yankin’ ‘em out Dave and I’ll keep watchin’.
Dave: "I never seen the takedown, cause I was eatin a cookie." Yeah... I gotta close my eyes when I'm eatin cookies. Nothin like *seeds n' stems* in your eyeballs!
