There are two categories of people I love the most in this world. First is Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour; and the second is the family & friends He's purposefully placed in my life. This is why I daily strive to trust Him with my friendships much more than I trust my friends themselves.
I wrote this poem "When The Creator Gifts Us Friends" in a very short space of time back in May because I was in a time crunch and I needed to share it at my church's multicultural friendship fair at that time. Writing it was only possible because the words just flowed as God blessed me with inspiration coming from a place of my reflection on His intentionality when He created this beautiful thing called friendship - both with Him and with the fellow image bearers He created for me to love and do life with.
I do hope you trust Him with your friendships much more than you trust your friends themselves.
