As an American who enjoys your channel, I would love it you would show names of particular towns or lakes where you ride-printed on the video so I can write down the name. Sometimes, it is challenging to understand the names of the towns or the highways you are travelling. Kate is great!
Go on then, I'll correct you. There is only ONE lake in the Lake District and, that's Bassenthwate Lake! All the others are either Waters, Meres, or Tarns. As in Windermere, Coniston Water, Buttermere, Ulswater. That's one for the pub quiz! 😀
Beautiful scenery Kate. You really handle the big GS so capably in all the conditions. IMHO you're an excellent rider. Gunther and Bernard would be interesting blokes to to talk bikes with as your dad would be too. Top vid Kate. Well done.
Beautiful landscape! I wish you had less rain and more sunny weather. Your video makes me want to go on a bike tour in this beautiful country. Maybe, one day I dare to go on a ride with my bike to UK. I'm sure I could get used to drive "on the wrong side of the road". Thanks for the inspiring video and greeting from rainy Germany.
I've had this queued up to watch for quite a while. Lovely group and beautiful roads. I remember stopping at that little lake past Honister on a tour last year. Went down to the water and dipped my boots in. It was so lovely. I've not edited the video yet 🤦🏻♂️
FYI Kate, although there are 16 large named bodies of water in the English Lake District only one is named a 'Lake' (Bassenthwaite Lake near Keswick) All the others are Meres & Waters. The smaller mountain ones are Tarns. Ride safe.
Wow, what a great video! Your father is awesome. And your friends as well. I was in Lake District a few years ago and truly enjoyed my time there, I regretted not staying longer. When I come back I will definitely rent a 1250gs and stay longer. Best!
What a lovely ride along. Stupendous scenery, a bit of a comical history lesson. (Japanese photo shooters) Rough weather and true motorcycle enthusiast caring on, with great mates. That’s a superb motovlog. Well done Username Kate & Username Dad. 👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
Another fun vlog Kate and reunion! Buttermere is a mere. Crummock is Crummock water. Only Lake is Bassenthwaite all others are mere, waters & tarns in Cumbria. Thirlmere is the reservoir you mentioned. 👍🏍🏴
Hi Kate, a good blog two Germans on German bikes👍. I really admire you ,as your a true motorcyclist riding in all weathers, as there are a few out there that only dry day riders. I always think it homes your riding skills and if you have good gear it’s no problem.Good to see your Dad Steve out.Best wishes from Sweden 🇸🇪 🏍❤️🙏Riden the lakes three times , good to see the footage reminded me of good times👍
Great ride along with you Kate. I'll trade ya, today's three or four inches of heavy snow for your rain! You missed putting in the biscuit tin! Was slate mined at that mountain area? Have a good weekend, and I hope it will be sunny for you.
Kate, is your bike the lowered chassis version? Every time I watch your content, I'm more and more impressed by the way you handle such a big heavy lump. Great vid btw, I hope your German friends enjoyed the day.
I wonder how the G-men saw you while you where joyfully hopping along on that “Deutsche Wertarbeit” tractor, or “Schnabeltier” (beaked animal) as the GS’ are often called. Any interpretations the camera did not pick up? How old where you when they first met you?
Love to see the area in good weather, still beautiful nonetheless. Kate would you rather follow Mikes sporty lead or dads officer lead, or they both have their time place?
Kate I love riding the Lake District it’s Bucket list for riders. I see your riding a GS. Please tell me take it off road. I’ll never buy a BMW here in Cincinnati why because the people in my local dealership suck and don’t let you test ride bikes
So i see you are still riding this late on in the year i too carried on taking trips out last year on my old rt. But only occasionally i set a min of 1 hour per month just to keep my hand in but this year i have my brand new gsa rallye which i got from rotherham allen jeffries right nice foln they are. Anyway this year having the king of bikes under me i am intending to ride far more and some days i may venture out in rain. Incidently jeffries were struggling to get my bike in for her 600 mile checkup. So i rang around first call was your spot williams they wanted £214 the robbers and if i had bought the bike there it was £140 ish so i just ended up getting done in rotherham £100. I visited williams about 8 week ago and a guy called lucas one of the sales guys said the headlight voucher supplied with the gsa due to the semiconducter shortage will not be honoured by bmw and he said the semiconductors will all ne used on the new 1300 i feel like contacting motorrad to make a complaint as tony at jeffries assures me that is nonesense what do you think kate
Haha its actually not! It came up as one of the possible choices on the AFRL system (a small list of regs allocated to dealerships) my colleague Debbie asked me to choose one off the list and UNK was there!!! A crazy coincidence 😊
