Matthew 21:28-32 ~ The parable of two sons ~ An interesting parable. I am not sure I interpreted it right, and I would love your comments to add to the meaning of God's Words in this parable. I take it when the Master calls, we should humbly and obediently do His work! Not begrudgenly, or when we feel like it. Because it just might be too late when we finally feel like complying. Thank you, my friends in Christ for adding to the thoughts of His Good News! God bless you all!
Today's host flower is wild bergamot (Monarda fistuolsa), a light lavender flower that I did not know until just now that it is not the same as bee balm (Monarda didyma). They are very similar, and in the same Monarda genus, but wild bergamot is more attractive to bees and a greater variety of butterflies, and they both attract hummingbirds. The wild bergamot is very drought tolerant and thrives in poor soils, full sun, and will survive hot summers where it is well drained. Besides this gorgeous light lavender, it comes in pink and purple. It grows in all the continental United States except California, Neveda and Florida. With climate change and hotter temperatures, I am assuming that range may be changing, sadly.
Today's chores are spot watering the transplants ~ guara, pale pink coneflower, Shasta daisy, blue vervain, phenomenal lavender, black-eye Susan, early sunflower, coral honeysuckle, rosemary, maxima black-eye Susan, milkweed, coneflowers, lemon balm, lamb's ear, wood betony, and the mystery plant, the hydrangeas, the hosta, elderberry bushes, the button bush cinnamon ferns, and dwarf gardenia. Hopefully they will survive to tomorrow, my next opportunity to water them. I raked up magnolia leaves and used them for mulch around some that had mineral mulch, which I had read is a recommended mulch (rocks?!) Well, in this heat and drought, I think the rocks need to be covered up to keep things a bit cooler. Just sayin'! Just trying to help them live to see one more day!
If there is one sermon everyone should listen to, it is this one, • Video ~ by Pastor Loran Livingston, from Central Church of God, in Charlotte, NC. He has recently gone viral with a short clip of a sermon, but this one, with the theme, "How far behind are you following," is a perfect message for each person to hear, especially a Christian! I encourage you to listen and, perhaps listen again. I am keeping this one on speed-dial!
Would like to share His Gospel with others? Then I will eagerly support and encourage you! Start by praying and see where you go! Revelations 3:7b, What God opens, no man can shut, and what God closes, no man can open! When we are standing before such a mighty God as this, and His Holy Spirit will be with us, guiding and directing us, we will not fail! Harvesting for God can simply be reading His Holy Word and/or offering personal experiences or wisdom you have learned and earned through your life. Or it could be as creative and imaginative as God sends you ~ maybe even a garage band creating "Garage Gospel"! Remember, benefits are out of this world, in paradise! God bless you, my friend!
