Most likely a gulf state. Wardens there know if you don't want to listen to them, they will probably be helping the diver pull you up from 80ft of water in about 12 hours

In this case it is indeed nice to see how smooth contact between law enforcement and citizens can proceed. But unless you live in a banana republic, I think this is a striking statement you make here. In my tolerant country, decent law enforcement has even become a plague that causes serious imbalance. Thanks to the worldwide human rights and privacy protection organizations, the lack of decent criminals and other rude lawbreakers causes an irreversible disruption of the balance.
@@Itstits You imply consent for that to happen when you use our public waterways. It's in the statutes that are publicly available, IGNORANCE is not a defense. Same with CDL drivers, except it's a contract with the state they are licensed in and the fed government. All these statutes are written by the elected officials the majority elected, and wanted to write these statutes.
@@Itstits As a citizen in a Constitutional Republic you either follow the law or face the consequences. If you don't want to follow the laws like the vast majority of citizens do, there's no reason to be a citizen in a Constitutional Republic. A law can be invalidated, but until the hour it is, it is the law. Insuring a person using a watercraft had a PFD is unjust? Especially a watercraft not actually capable of being used as flotation in an emergency event? Not even the size of a shorty surf board. Seems this guy has far more common sense than you.

@@gofastER I don't see any of that fuckin' happening in this video. He's just makin' sure that dude doesn't get himself drowned- holy shit my guy, calm down a fraction of a percent please.
@@gofastERdude what? He never threatened lethal force. We live in a country where citizens have the legal right to possess weapons capable of lethal force to protect themselves from threats to their lives and freedoms as well as the lives and freedoms of others. This results in a natural give and take, aka, an aspect of our social contract. We are given this freedom to make our own decisions regarding said threats. Naturally, some citizens make mad choices with this freedom. So, officers of the law are given the task of protecting citizens whom they know may be armed from other citizens they know may be armed. They are also tasked with making sure citizens abide by laws meant for the public welfare, like wearing a life-vest. It is insane to suggest that an officer of the law should not be armed with lethal force to protect himself or others when the citizens he deals with are often armed. Before you say he shouldn't need a gun because citizens shouldn't have guns, look at every authoritarian, freedom hating regime that's ever taken over a populace. One of the first things they do is take firearms and weapons away from the citizens so they can't fight back. Many, many Americans simply refuse to allow the government to take their weapons. They will deal with w.e consequences resulting from that choice. So, cops have to be armed and ready to use force. It's the opposite of tyranny
They deal with bodies of water that can be dangerous. You have to be level headed in order to do a good job on the waters so makes sense why they're all chill af

These cops are the best, once tried to pull into a liquor store and was waiting in traffic. Cop pulls up blocking just waves finger no, I point at the store say imma go get beer, he points down at the double yellow. Ahh, ya got me, thumbs up and went around
Dude, I hate dickhead cops as much as any other person, but it only seems like most out there are power hungry because that’s the only media you see when it comes to police. If you were to interact with one officer a day, you’d notice most aren’t power hungry boomers. Countless people like me who care about people and want to do something good for others in the community are applying into law enforcement right now. Media is so horribly censored in this country which is why the only time you see a police officer in a video, it’s always that one prick, when 10 other cops would’ve handled it completely differently. I grew up homeless, so I’ve had plenty of cops mistreat me along with my fam, but most were gracious to us. This is the whole reason I want to be in law enforcement. I really hope my generation can help make the relationship with communities and police better:) god bless.
@@brandonmcgrew4367L take. I've been choked slammed by a cop over a clove cigarette. Most people who vehemently hate cops, have personal, physical, real reasons to. They fit the description of the one that attacked or assaulted us (and got away with it)
@@brandonmcgrew4367 You have to remember that people interact with the police. I get what you're saying because most of the time when dealing with police it has been easy and over quick. But I always think about the cop that pulled me out of my doorway and threw me down the stairs of my front porch and arrested me for obstructing an officer because I was trying to go back inside to get my ice water before I kept talking to them about the reason they were there (completely unrelated to me). Some cops do power trip, and being thrown 6 feet to the ground and stuck in county jail for the weekend just for the judge to tell you that you don't have to talk to the police unless you're being arrested and releasing you without charges kinda sticks with you more than the nice interactions. And you worry about it because you know if another cop starts power tripping, you are at his mercy. He can literally kill you and get away with it.
You respect a f'ing police state? He has a very floaty board underneath him... if they're soooo worried about him getting knocked unconscious and drowning (a VERY slim possibility), then outlaw base jumping, rock climbing, hang-gliding, and anything else dangerous. USA police state... instead of preventing crime, they ticket people they think can afford it
Very professional, respectful and safe interaction. Cop found out everything was legit and then let the guy proceed with his day. Guy didn't lose his mind about being questioned over safety issues. That's how it's supposed to be.
Yeah except it doesn’t matter if he’s wearing one anyway. If he falls off all he has to do is swim. It’d be like saying that you needed to have a car on stand by in case your bike got a flat tire…. You could just walk home…… like I’m not against cops at all I’m just saying it literally doesn’t matter if someone is wearing an unnecessary safety piece if they don’t want to wear one. It would’ve been even better if the cop had just minded his own business. If the guy thinks that he is safe without one on and then drowns because he was wrong then that’s his problem. It literally hurts no one else.
@@HardxCorpsxKali It "hurts" those who try to save him or retrieve his body / notify his family (who are also hurt). Just like bike helmets or car seatbelts etc, a life jacket isn't "an unnecessary piece of safety equipment" and making them compulsory has saved lives
You can tell by the cop’s gray hair. He’s probably spent years grinding away at all of the sucky jobs his police department has, and then now he gets to work his last few years before retirement in his dream job. He’s a happy camper and is going to do everything he can to prevent his vibe from being ruined.

Life vests are one law I'm okay with them enforcing. There's literally no reason not to have one. Even strong swimmers get caught in rogue waves, rip currents, etc.

Growing up in Co, I used to think that to. Park rangers were my heroes! Then I moved to Mo, and almost immediately was harassed by a park range for literally NO REASON. Had my fishing license, was sober and completely legal. Pull up to a state park, go to get out and grab my poll and BOOM surrounded by screaming, aggressive park rangers with guns in my face. They tore my truck apart, searched me and kept me from fishing until well after feeding time. He let me go with no ticket or anything because I literally had done NOTHING wrong. But by the time it was over I didn't feel like fishing anymore. Changed my entire lifes view on park rangers. You know the saying, one bad apple.
I don't disagree. It's the ones that get a God complex that give every one of them bad rap. I've met them They nearly took all our guns away because 1 person in our group didn't have tags or a license on them. She wasn't there to hunt she was there to help us clean our deers. Things got so escalated that we had to get state troopers involved.
