Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. I've finally got gold stake on all decks and abandoned deck gave me the most trouble lol. Not even black deck gave so much pain. I guess I just love them face cards.

It can give some trouble making enough points, especially on earlier antes. But the smaller deck makes it very consistent once you have direction.

For me it was the magic deck lol. For some reason I got so incredibly unlucky every single run, to the point i scored like 399,986/400000 on the last boss and cavendish popping twice

I feel like superposition should let you wrap the straight (QKA12 style) would be an interesting buff and really fit the name better.

but the thing about superposition is that it references that electrons can ONLY have positive 1/2 and negative 1/2 spin, like how the ace can only appear in A2345 and AKQJT straights

@furretwalky it's a reference to schrodinger's cat, not electrons. As in the cat exists in a state of superposition of both alive and dead until you open the box and find out. A straight with an Ace is the same way as it could be an Ace high or Ace low straight but the only way to find out is to play it.

Would it not be better long term to swap the vampire midas mask positioning? You lose out on initial scaling (having to play ever face card an extra time) but you get to keep gold cards for the money

(Obviously this might not be true if you've got things like gold seals/glass enhancements/have polychrome card, but for this run specifically with vampire it would've been better for score)

Wouldn't it be better long-term to have the Midas Mask after the Vampire? That way you get a money engine going as well on the times where you can't play a face card, and it only delays Vampire value by a little bit

That would be true for lower stakes but the xmult is more important on gold stake due to blind scaling

You probably wouldn't have won that blind anyway, but you got vampire to a point were it's better in most cases to copy it than either photograph or chad. Since x2^3 is x8 and your vamp was already past that. Edit: I was wrong about red seal, with red seal it's better. 2^4 is 16 not 12, I am stupid

Skipping for a Negative Joker on Gold Stake can break a run (more likely) then to help you win. You lose so much value from a simple skip!

Yeah, you'd think someone so good at the video game could win even if they skipped blinds, like a good student can still pass while skipping classes. This analogy cannot be flawed in any way whatsoever.
