In this #short I show what it was like for me reading "It Ends with Us" by Colleen Hoover. I wanted to know what the title meant so bad but it never seemed to make sense...Not until the last line of the book.
This funny short is relatable for all readers and book lovers!

not a exactly spoiler but still.... before I read this novel I always thought that these words "IT ENDS WITH US " were used for lily and atlas and if not then for lily and Ryle but I was wrong this whole time . these words depicts so much more then a love story or anything else, it's a love of a mother for her child. The difficulty and levels a mother can go through just to protect her child and yes these lines were used for lily and her daughter. The words for how lily broke that chain of abuse that was going on in her family. she wanted to prevent her daughter from feeling the same as she ( lily ) and her mother did ...
@Juliette_ferrars
@Juliette_ferrars Год назад
Then why did she agree on co-parenting [or whatever]..If not Lily, Ryle might hurt someone in future right? And her daughter will have to see that. She should've filed a case against him
@akankshasharma9557
@akankshasharma9557 11 месяцев назад
@@Juliette_ferrars because no matter how much wrong a person is you can never separate a child from their parent Even though lily could never forget Ryle for what he did or could give him a chance but she still as a human had a hope that he would try to change for the sake of her daughter by the way in which he acted when Emerson was born and how he himself wanted to change ( which he eventually did , up to an extend ) She could never give him another chance as her husband but she gave him a chance to grow and learn as a human Beacuse eventually his not being in Emerson's life would have effected Emmy. No body can change the fact that he was her father. She didn't wanted her daughter to hate her father the same way she did when she was younger She did what was best for all of them
@akankshasharma9557
@akankshasharma9557 11 месяцев назад
@@Juliette_ferrars and yes I agree that she should have filed a case against him the first that shit happened or should have kicked him out of her life and that is why she was wrong . But the decision she took at hospital when Emmy was born had emotions , not only hers but of all those people whose life was dependent on her single answer , of all those women who go through such issues in their daily life No matter how much we try , We would never be able to feel what a person feels after getting abused by someone they thought was the love of their life , someone they loved so deeply. So I guess we should atleast try to step in her shoes and respect the decision that she made

Personally, as someone who's been reading since words started making sense, The book was okish to average? I wouldn't even give it that much praise. few lines in the book were pretty, yes, but it doesn't really deserves as much popularity as the other several books that i have read. It Ends With Us is too overrated. And CoHo is really bad at writing smut please TT and i can't really understand the whole 'the book was so sad' no it was not. it just shows how less books you read cus there are several outstanding mind-boggling angsty book that you haven't subjected your self too. And the ones who say this is their favorite book guys y'alls taste in books is horrible, seriously, i know everyone has their own preferences but ik the ones who read classics and other books that actually deserve the praise and popularity knows how bad this book actually was. I am glad that CoHo decided to put her own experience with abuse in the book and as someone who was in the similar situation, both my parents are shit, it made others aware of this but calling this book a romance book would be too much of a stretch actually. The tiktok/booktok just glorified IEWU too much. Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk 💀 Ignore it if you want.

I was also slightly disappointed bc so many people were like “oh my gosh this book made me cry” or whatever. Prolly the only part of this book for me was atlas,his struggle,and when lily went to his home and said,"atlas kept swimming and he swam all across the fking carribian"i loved how he changed his life out of nothing,and also the magnet made me happy,"everything is better in Boston "

I just read this book because I wanted to know for myself if it was worth the hype. It’s actually really good. I finished it in a day. Easy read, good story, kinda sad, but realistic.

I was so sad that Lily Isn't ended up Ryle🥺🥲 Team-Ryle❣️

Ryle abused her, why should she stay with him…in any other situation, I’d understand this opinion, but he literally hurt her multiple times after multiple chances. He wasn’t ready to love someone else, he had his own issues to fix

If Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters, Charles Dickens, etc, were still alive, they would be EXTREMELY disappointed in this generation…

Just watched the movie, never read the book. Imagine what I've felt when the last line is "It ends with us" and screen goes black. Loved the movie.

I officially stopped having faith on booktok when I found out that the one and only Colleen Hoover defended her son when he SA'd a woman (how do you even do that) and realised that Ugly Love has incest. We can do better than that

Honestly i liked the book but the HYPE over it just isn't worth it, there are so so many other good books. Read Ravinder Singh's I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY and it's sequel CAN LOVE HAPPEN TWICE? Deserves so much more hype. I liked UGLY LOVE better than IT ENDS WITH US tho.
