DayZ doesn’t even feel like a post apocalyptic survival world game. It’s just getting the most ridiculous tactical equipment, and killing every person you see.
@@M.A909 As if the guy doing the sniping didn't also spend a lot of time traveling and looting. That's the game. It has nothing to do with honor. If you don't want to get killed outta nowhere then don't be like these guys standing out in the open in a group. And don't run straight through a field towards a guy that you know is shooting at you. Hardly anything safe about taking shots at someone with a dinnerbell, either.
@@2DO.oficial well, then you can hear motherfuckers hairs growing in tarkov from 75 meters away if you have the gaming headset its just the other side of the spectrum compared to this game.
That “hey brother” was like when deer hunters do that grunt to make the buck stop for a split second for a shot, it’s crazy how that works for both animals and people, like even thinking about it now if I was behind enemy lines and i heard “aye bud” id probably stop for just a second too
Nope. That's confirmation someone sees you so suppressive fire in that direction while immediately seeking cover. Only bad thing is by the time they say something you are already likely in their sights. But if you are going to go down go down fighting
@@coryrohrbaugh1208But even so reaction times and identification times are different. Humans are hard wired to turn towards any noise one hears. It's instinctual. You may not even understand what was said until a second later your just responding to a noise even if your brain hasn't ID'd it yet. Same thing with sight. You need to look at something for a second before you can understand what it is. You could look at a tiger approaching you but it'd take a second to register what it is.
@genericwhitekidthesecond4330 I get it's situational but a human voice in a situation where rounds are flying with no friendly around should instantly make you want to seek cover and assess the situation.
@DamonXan lol you'd be surprised what people will do when their life is on the line. I mean it's not hard to defend yourself from someone trying to harm you it should be natural instinct.
You read far too deep into that. Saying something a split second before pressing a button in a video game is some kind of psychological warfare to you...lmfao🤓 utter plonker😂
DayZ, the simulation where you are told you can find cool gear to survive but really just get shot by some 'sniper' to steal your socks and one can of food that took 10 hours to find.
Play player owned servers a lot with boosted loot including building mats and raid only on weekends those are fun because if you die you don't got to loot 10 hours for gear
My friend got me to play dayz because it's "so awesome" and you meet "lots of cool friends" and "kill zombies" i played for 3 hours, saw 1 zombie, found no loot and then died randomly to a guy like this
I have seen some Day Z gameplay that was pretty cool, but that was back when it was ONLY a Mod for Arma 2… some pretty wild scenarios back then. Think similar to the My Little Pony mods for Amnesia Dark Descent.
@@hunterkormanyeah it was his first game and if you've ever played the fucking game before you'll have thousands like it. Don't pretend you've never died while seeing no action and don't pretend this isn't an empty barren game. If he's bad you must suck fucking cock to not know such common gameplay
Tunnel vision such that you don’t look around carefully in all directions…I’m guilty of so many times. Get too excited and get blind sided by the one I didn’t see.
I was trying to sneak up on a guy cooking outside of NWAF , turns out he wasn't in the house , and I noticed him running maybe 10 ft away from me but didn't notice lol .I was shook . His deer meat was very tasty 😋
Imagine your buddy gets downed by a sniper hiding somewhere FAR away across open land, with higher ground, with the cover of woods, and your instinct is to rum straight at him.. sit down in the house, have a coffe for 30 minutes and stay away from the windows, you aint no hero.

I remember installing this game, looting buildings for like a entire hour, found a little pistol, spent another hour desperately trying to find at least one bullet (never did), ran into a zombie, it lagged and hit me and gave me a wound in which i didnt have the supplies to treat, nor did i know how to treat a wound, then i died from the wound and proceeded to delete the game. This was years ago, the game desperately needs a tutorial level if they havent added one by now
it does not need a tutorial at all. the whole point of the game is for it to be brutal and you learn on your own and learn from your mistakes. this isnt minecraft
when it was a good game you would just encounter someone, they would escort you back to a group and the group would pool their resources and knowledge and make it easy for new players to jump in. Once the CoD refugees desperately seeking "Immersion" found this game it was toast. The tutorial is friendship. Finding a player. Which is impossible when you can't even say "hi" to someone without them mag-dumping you for the single bandage you were carrying.
@@Sh4quille0atmeal If that were the case it would be a singleplayer/co-op based game Like Minecraft, the Forrest, Subnautica, Green hell, Stranded deep and every other survival game you can name. The word your looking for is "Sandbox" and no a sandbox is not a "Battle Royale" Rust is a sandbox. Cursed is a Battle Royale. GTA is a sandbox. PUBG is a battle royale. Garry's mod is a sandbox, Fortnite is a battle royale. DayZ is a sandbox. Vigor is a battle royale. "Sandbox" games by definition via name, imply working together with others to construct something... because that's what kids do in sandboxes at the playground. SO anybody who does KOS on DayZ, is just playing the game wrong. You brought you nerf gun to the sandbox, don't wonder why some kids find it annoying when they are just trying to play with a toy bulldozer or build a castle.
@@Reality.The.Boogeyman playing the game wrong? but sandboxes are for playing however you like. you're contradicting yourself. but once again. dayz is meant to be brutal and you learn from your mistakes and that's how you learn the whole game. if it needed a tutorial, it would already have one.
@@Sh4quille0atmeal Right, and you can hop on Minecraft and prioritize combat, have fun clicking the same attack and watching the mob turn into ash and drop loot over and over. You having a bizarre out of place play style doesn't mean Minecraft is about PVP, it means Minecraft is about survival and building and mining, you just insist on focusing on the miniscule combat element of the game meant to be a roadblock, not a goal. Just like focusing on PVP combat in a zombie game about building forts, survival, and evading/unaliving zombies is just you insisting on some bizarre playstyle that focuses on the wrong parts of the game. Again, you have freedom nobody is telling you what to do, just don't act like your the normal one or the original one. Your the weirdo, your the outsider. You can play knives only on CoD, its still a shooter, and the people using guns and grenades are normal, not you. But by all means, be a weirdo, just don't get offended when your weirdness is pointed out. This is A Burger King, I'm not sure why you think they can sell you an AK47, but I don't have to justify why I came here for a Whopper.
Other way around. If a foreign army invaded your country you would do anything to defend it, why would it be any different for your nations army to invade a foreign country?
@@R0CKETMVNTVholy shhhhiiiiiiittttt… 13,000 hours?!?!? BRO! I LOVE to game some. But I couldn’t play 13,000 hours with ANY game… how do you maintain your interest for so long???? My favorite memory from day z was back before standalone was out. We were in Stary heading to the tents and I ask my buddy if there's sniper glare in this game because I thought I saw a glint. As I finish my sentence we hear a 50 Cal sniper and our other friend in front of us drops. We scatter and die like 10 seconds later lol
@@standeman32Dayz is a game you've gotta be into to like. It's a very niche game for only a very small select audience. If you don't like spending 4 hours running around and potentially nothing happening or having to micromanage 800 things this is just not a game to try. But if you aren't into genuinely authentic survival games that borders on just being a real life simulator including all the boring or bad parts of real life, this is perfect.
If that were me, the folks in the house wouldve lasered me through the windows while I was retreating into the woodline after the first kill. Amazing that you found an entire field of potatoes honestly.
@@masonshipley7377 either staged, or extremely dedicated. If your using a game like rust to put together kill clips, that's like the equivalent of using a motorcycle in a demolition derby.
You ever play the Takistan life mod? If you did we probably played together 10 plus years ago 😂 I used to play those games religiously. 2012 I got arma and yeah we probably shared the same server at one point who knows 🤷♂️
The first time I played DayZ, I learned how to T-pose slide. My friends and I were T-pose sliding across a field laughing our heads off, then we all got sniped from someone we couldn't see. That was the last time I played DayZ.
@@jacoballen5538 Nah man, I stopped because you can see pretty quickly there's little room to be a goofball and enjoy yourself like that in DayZ in the long run. Someone who uses the game to feel powerful inevitably comes by and murders you without a word, then you crawl up from the pit of poverty to do the same to someone else lest you repeat the cycle. It peaked in enjoyment for me in 30 minutes and I left while it was still kinda funny. And good lord do people get all bitter and upset in this game. They take it waaaaay too seriously sometimes.
@@lokic-ug2sc real people making real choices (even if its just in game scenarios) > Movies portraying things in a way to get people to give up their money to see it.
Most games that have been out for too long without any meaningful changes turn out like this. From my experience the game mostly consists of bored elite players that have solved the game years ago. The game has really no challenges besides pvp for experienced players.
> Kill everyone on sight > Complaints about the game having no players. It's not rocket science to understand that most people don't want to play when there is such an atmosphere.
@@v.0190 Sounds like you're hard to please :). But that's easy to solve: AI enemies. Sure they're a little bit more predictable than humans, but with the correct configuration they aren't far off at all. In fact, in the current server I'm playing with: The Wildlands (Bitterroot), the AI is very immersive and well setup. Plus PVE is for those of us who, as your comment says, doesn't like being KOS'd.
I've made it a point to go around helping random people. I do trading/storage for folks too. If two groups want to trade they can hire me to do the trade and it's kept the peace quote a bit. One day, we might all fight the deado's together.
Theres community rp servers that dont allow that, personally I like the KOS because its a zombie apocalypse with real people behind the screen. This is exactly what would happen in real life if zombies happened
@@lolonoazoro420 I think thats just lack of zombies, when I shoot in a town or millitary base i get fucked by like 10 of them lol. Would be nice to get more zombies but at the same time yes and no lol, or at least herds that roam would be cool
ik this is an old comment but its a modded map based on a mountainous part of the USA. its called Bitterroot. it actually fully released just today so the playtests arent the only thing available to play this awesome map!
The same "Hey Brother" trick works in Rust pretty well. It triggers many people to find the source of the voice even if they know it is likely hostile causing enough of a pause in movement to drop them
'Hey brother' is synonymous with 'I'm gonna kill you' never trust anyone who uses the word brother to refer to someone who isn't their biological brother
@Ogg13tube if you can get a gameplay advantage from altering graphics settings, it's already a bad game. I got this game (the standalone) when it released in 2013. It looks like no effort was put into it at all, and I know Dean Hall abandoned it. Not worth playing. It has a niche audience that keeps it on life support and it never grew because of how brutal and boring this game is to new players.
@@DeepTitanic It ain't. I played standalone 2 months after it dropped. Murderhobos were a thing, but there were also the RP'ers and chill people who just wanted to carve out their own space and be left alone.
@@MarquisLeary34It depended on the servers. Most I played were always KOS especially when you had more gear. Trust just goes down after that. But the brutal nature of it all made survival so much more of a fun and ever shifting challenge. You never know who you can trust. After 10 years i still think i only have like 30 kills total. Im more of the passive player
Reminded me in a project zomboid server that devolved to shit after the owner was terminated, Me and my 6 homies were the last survivors out of 57 people Was not a fun experience finding all the dead survivors.
when they charged at you “MY SOLDIERS DO NOT BUCKLE OR YIELD WHEN FACED WITH THE CRUELTY OF THIS WORLD, MY SOLDIERS PUSH FORWARD, MY SOLDIERS CRY OUT, MY SOLDIERS RAAAG- **Headshot**” all i could think about as they charged you like that🤣
@jacoballen5538 it's a really fun game. My biggest problem is that i never know where to go. I'm still new so I have my buddy who knows the maps guide me around. Otherwise I'm just aimlessly wandering 🤣. Fun ass game tho, gets the heart pumping like no other
@@jacoballen5538 In fairness he does do one Ohhhh Wow, but all the others are def just the game and the sniper doing what ever a sniper breath is called
I mean the guys in the house had every warning lmao the first guy got unlucky for sure but sometimes you get it sometimes you get got. You won’t find more intense feeling gun fights in anything else though since it sucks so much to die
Notice where the first guy goes down in the grass. Then notice the shooter "re-positions" up slope. When victim #2 stops to check buddy, the grass ain't rendering. The guy who made this clip cheesed the hell out of his settings, and knew that he had to go uphill to maintain maximum cheese superiority.
I agree bc some people are just evil. They don't think oh this person has invested a ton of time and if I take it all it will be hilarious... Now that person might say f this game and not play it but miss it at the same time but not want to play it bc they feel they will get a toxic experience from it... But also... That's the game... Anyone can come and mess everything you worked for with a grin on their faces... It sucks but yeah... Half the time is just... Gain the exp try and enjoy it and if you lose it all maybe next time you're better prepared
I will say that the worst way of dying in this game is when you new to it and you dying of hunger then you come across can of baked beans but nothing to open it with, before dropping to the floor and dying with it in your hand 😂
Probably a dumb question but, I do most of these guys use aim bots? Because I see them shoot on these videos for DayZ mostly, and they seem to miss but then it hits them somehow.
across the map? this is like 250-400m if even that lmao. and barmby wasnt even really hiding in the bushes and trees. im very surprised the guys didnt actually spot him. he was actually pretty in the open.
the grass wouldnt be high enough to make a difference anyways. and its a balancing decision. would you rather be sniped by a guy in ghillie hiding in grass 600m away nobody will ever be able to spot, or a guy hiding with a chance of you spotting him and killing him first? also ive played this map before and there isnt much grass on this sandy looking terrain anyways.
I tried dayZ and after 30 minutes of absolutely nothing happening worth interest I deleted it and never thought ab it again I wish clips like this happened more often in game. Was a great idea.
Clips like these sometimes take hours of nothing before they happen, as someone who has 3000 hours in the game I’ve had countless experiences like this, you just have to be patient and keep on a lookout, some areas are more prone to have people too if that’s what you’re really looking for (stary sobor, NWAF, Tisy, or Zelenegorsk, any coastal town too)
I will never understand players who hear someone get killed right next to them and the first thing they think of is "im gonna run to this body to loot it even tho somebody clearly shot him thats not with my group"
neither did barmby. the sniper he had and the M4 was actually pretty low tier. this was on the bitterroot playtest where loot tiers were quite unbalanced and there were good guns in spawn areas. either way, what do you get out of letting them live? literally nothing. they could have had some important stuff like ammo or an extra max for the M4, a good backpack, new shoes, or a gun cleaning kit, you name it. there's nothing to lose out of killing someone. there's only something to gain.
average daily players is still like 30k people mate wdym? or were you just hinting at the fact that alot of times you dont see alot of people because the maps are big with low max players?
