The way I see it deaths and buybacks are completely different resources in the game. If you force a buyback you are making the enemy team use a resource they have no control over (they can't do anything to reduce the buyback timer nor buyback again paying more gold). Saying that because you forced a buyback and they got gold from killing you means you are at a disadvantage it's wrong because the gold they may have won from that fight is useless once the hero who boughtback (Io in this case) dies and has no buyback.

I agree with what you said at the end... People don't know how to weigh objectives in this game. They see the "godlike" streak and think they're playing deathmatch. As if three buybacks and a rax isn't worth 1k
