I mean especially something like Liszt and Paganini’s la Campanella all the way to something like libestraume by Liszt. Classical music can offer all the emotion and can show views of the composers for example Debussy shows to have a different view of moonlight than Beethoven with his clair de lune.
@@theunknownsoldier5625you're absolutely right, i'd recommend you to try Chopin, most pieces are depressing, but damn he sure knows how to reach your heart.
A bop actually helps me focus way more than something slow! Classical music just has the benefit of not having distracting lyrics. I think I need a good beat because what actually helps me focus isn't the music itself, it's the dancing - kinda like playing with a fidget toy, only it's my whole body instead of just my hands
Listening to classical music while studying absolutely backfired for me while I was in school. I'd always end up daydreaming that I was a maiden in a regency romance or something.
As a ballet dancer ,whenever I hear classical music literally anywhere, I cannot focus on whatever the hell I was doing and end up embarrassing myself 💀
Facts. I like to go through instrument phases where I’ll look up concertos or sonatas etc. on specific instruments like viola or oboe or whatever. This helps you find a lot of composers that people don’t talk about as much.
@@Ergoperidot true good advice i do the same since i play many instruments and like to hear concertos for them but the one i play the most is the trumpet, and i love baroque period trumpet
@@arsena5209 I would disagree with the former and agree with the latter. Most people listen to classical music because they like to and would find even in the most boring ones a some sort of interest. Classical music pieces convey different meanings, it's given that it would feel different, personally it's how I differentiate my favourite classical composers to the other.
Tchaikovsky is great for working on projects...art/building/etc. Gets the blood flowing. Not real great for keeping the m I ND focused on reading retention.
Legit every time. Try to listen to classical music to focus and I get no work done cuz I’m reenacting my days as a Cossack soldier battling for honor and glory
That classical music go hard man you'll be sitting there calm and cool next thing you know you feel like you've got to go ahead and just start marching down the street or something
Why is this so true? They say you shouldn't listen to songs with lyrics when studying cuz ur only gonna remember the lyrics but if u listen to music without words I can remember what you studied. All I remember is dancing.
Literally I always listen to a band called motionless in white while studying My teachers say listen to calm and music with no lyrics while studying but then all I wanna do is dance, which results in me get 0 work done. 💀😭
*Depends on which one, you need to look for Soft or piano based pieces, sometimes depending on the atmosphere I want to recreate I use different types of music, one day I wanted to dream nightmares so I listen to creepy music*
Hi! i just wanted to say Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross - so we could be forgiven of our sins. In other words, saved from Hell. to be saved from Hell, we must repent of our sins and trust in Jesus (Mark 1:15). God bless!!
My English teacher used to say “you can listen to music but only if it doesn’t have words!” Little did she know, songs without words made me hyperfocus on the beats and instruments while songs with words (especially familiar ones) let me basically tune them out and helped me focus
My teacher once played classical music for my class and Beethoven came on and we started jamming out instead of working at that moment my teacher leanred he couldn't win Edit- holy crap this got a lot of likes!
I was going to say the exact same thing. I am an amazing conductor of an orchestra that has already recorded their music. I’m glad I can help them continue to sound fantastic!
It is a lot more calming but does weirdly make me think of waltzes but that could be because I listen to it normally when reading books that have waltzes or ball room dancing in them. So it does distract me but in a different way.
My sister and I are classical music fans and one day my sister was in class and the teacher told the class they were not allowed to listen to music except for classical music because other music was too distracting. She had the best lesson.
Same! I was listening Symphony no. 5 then I ended up day dreaming with murder spree in my thoughts. Moonlight Sonata, as if I was a vampire admiring the moon. 🤣
Which is why whenever I study I just plug in video game music. It’s built to keep you engaged in a task, either crunching through stressful scenarios to keep blood rushing, or peacefully allowing you to think while accompanied by gentle melodies. I just can’t focus with music made to be heard all on it’s own, if that makes any sort of sense.
Yeah it does make sense. Stuff like metal or classical music etc. where you have full on concerts for them are way too intense / intricate to have on in the bckground. They kind of clamour for your attention
@@ragnkja i rarely ever get tired of video game soundtracks, I like the repetitive motion as long as it’s not merely just background noise. An example of this is Hollow Knight, the music is simply perfect to listen while exploring through different areas, and it’s even built to be dynamic, adding instruments which change the tone of the music in more tense scenarios (Harder combats or parkour challenges) which is the most clear in Crystal Peak, an area with a beautiful calm soundtrack which turns into a tense and engaging musical piece when you’re in the harder areas. On the other hand, the ambience from Deepnest is just annoying to listen to, because it’s repetitive with barely any notes that keep things interesting, and there’s pretty much no perceivable change between the standard track and the dynamic variation during gameplay because the area is constantly filled with the noise of enemies. If you haven’t listened to it, I recommend giving the Hollow Knight OST by Christopher Larkin a shot.
Animal Crossing music is ideal for this in my opinion. I even have a web extension that changes the music according to time just like in the games and it helps SO much for me to keep track of time (I have ADHD and tend to completely forget my needs when studying)
This actually happened with me… my roommate when i was in uni, would play this because it “helped him focus”… I was in the other room like - how can u even focus on the assignments, the music is too good!
Yep. Professional musician here. I've always been surprised and skeptic when casual listeners tell me they like classical music cause it helps them relax or helps them study. Dude, what? Most classical music is Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Brahms and Mozart, and those dudes wrote so you don't stop paying attention. Only some works by them, specially Bach and Mozart, I'd say might be light enough for that, but these are not usually very known works (and casuals usually end up listening to the most know ones... because there are the ones that stayed in the memories and hearts of audiences... because they are memorable... because they call your attention). Music for aristocratic courts are good for that, as musicias that worked at courts filled the need to provide for entertainment for the events and gatherings of the court, so they balanced interest (for those paying attention) with lightness (for those chatting) and that is mostly galant and baroque, like some of Handel's music, C.P. Bach, Telemann, etc. Vivaldi don't fall into that, he wrote very gripping music as he wasn't dependent on court life.
@@shooter7734 I see how can that work. Most of his works are for intimate settings and have similar structures over quasi-improvised melodic use. Sounds like cafe-bar music to me, haha. He probably is the most sophisticated representative of the cafe-bar spirit in music.
Years and years ago, I had a classical playlist on my mp3 player. It had a hard time with quieter music, so I thought it was broken or something. I kept turning it up. I didn’t bother to see what the title was. Suddenly an extremely loud chord plays and I jumped in my seat and was trying to stifle laughter because I actually got surprised by the Surprise Symphony.
Well done finding a recording of it where the dynamics are actually _p_ and _ff_ instead of _mp_ and _f_ like they tend to be in newer, “balanced” recordings.
Me as a ballerina and listen Tchaikovsky to focus... Results: or suddenly I start to dance, or I remember lots and lots of choreographies 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Kisses from Brazil. And sorry about my English ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Literally, in elementary school I learned that classical music is not to relax you, because the moment you’re relaxing, is when you are falling asleep and the composers knew. So they literally have to jump scare the audience awake as a “hey we’re not done yet, you better be fully awake now, because we’re going to be keeping you on your toes”
As a classical musician, I can't listen to classical music as I study. It activates the language center of my brain and so its like if someone was talking to you while you're trying to study. I have to listen to pop songs from other languages so I have a basic, predictable pattern in the harmonies, very basic melodies, and all sung so I can't understand it.
This is straight facts yo, my math teacher in 6th grade use to put on classical for us during tests and my ass would vibing like hell... Needless to say I got in trouble
I can’t tell you how annoying it is that I have to find VERY specific music to actually get stuff done. Like. WHYYYYY CANT I JUST DO IT LISTENING TO ANYTHING!!!?!
nah i started singing “this here’s a periodic table, noble gas is stable…” 😭😭😭 i’m broken edit- tysm for all these likes! Edit 2- damn 2.5k I’m surprised tysm!!
Yes!! Never understood how people could focus. Glad to see I'm not the only one who got the complete opposite result and started to vibe and make up stories in my mind
It’s worse for band kids, I be trying to focus and all like “ that is a brilliant formata, oh those beautiful dynamics! What elegant blending. Oh a rallentando! That was a nice piece, oh right I meant to read
As a classical musician for over four decades, I can relate. I’m too distracted either enjoying the music or analyzing the interpretive choices of the performer(s).
Just if y'all need classical music to relax and focus, here are my recommendations for a playlist: Chopin- Nocturne op 9 no 2. Moonlight Sonata first movement:Beethoven. Debussy: Clair de Lune. Schubert: Serenade (standchen) Tchaikovsky- Waltz of the Flowers. Tchaikovsky-Swan Lake. Pieces to get the blood pumping(get ready for a LOT of Chopin) Chopin-Etude op 10 no 12-Revolutionary Chopin:Etude op 25 no 11:Winterwind. Chopin:Etude op 10 no 4:Torrent. Liszt: La Campanella Chopin: Fantaisie Impromptu Shostakovich: Second Waltz. Chopin: First Ballade. And now, epic pieces: Holst-Mars(planets) Rachmaninoff: Prelude in c Sharp Major. Tchaikovsky: 1812 uverture (the one with the cannons) Tchaikovsky:Violin Concerto(but the last part is the most epic) Vivaldi:Winter (4 seasons) Now, some of my favourite pieces(also mixes of these) Liszt-Liebestraum 3 Chopin: Grande Valse Brilliante Hungarian Rhapsody no 2(Liszt), especially Friska Mendelssohn-First Violin Concerto. Prokofiev: Romeo and Julieta/Dance of the Knights(you can find it with borh names) Hope this helped!
"..........this is the periodic table noble gas is stable halogens and alkali react aggressively each period will see new outer shells while electrons are added moving to the right."
I used to listen to Russian Waltz music when I used to study for my college exams and I would always imagine myself dancing in a ballroom and not studying 💀💀
