Oh you poor thing. I recently had an ovarian cyst rupture and looked like you-on the verge of tears. It was hard to watch those scenes with you in pain. You’re so strong. I pray you recover soon. Being in pain makes me realize how grateful I am for the days I’m not in pain. 😮💨❤️
I'm proud of how well you took the tail bone situation! I couldn't see off camera but I just knew Wah was trying to help you out and you were also trying to keep it on a positive note! Y'all are such a sweet couple!
Weylie! I've never commented on any of your videos before, but my family and I loves watching your camping vlogs. We are campers. ourselves and we actually visited the Pacific Northwest for the first time this July! We LOVED visiting the Oregon Coast, Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake National Park, etc. Your old vlog where you visited Crater Lake actually inspired our trip! So sorry you went through those health issues- hope you're doing well!!
Thank you for this girly. I'm sitting at home with my broken foot elevated and I'm supposed to be on my cruise vacation from SF to Alaska 🥲🥲 it was so sudden, like I just fell on the sidewalk and it ended my whole trip before it began. I know there will be other trips but your vid is helping me feel less discouraged ❤ big hugs 🫂 🤗
Weylie, have you ever thought about shoes for your dogs when camping? It’ll protect their feet, especially if they’re walking across rocks or if there insects/fire ants on the floor 😊
Sorry to hear that your trip ended early but glad to see that you guys got to make the most out of it given the situation. Hopefully you'll get to complete the PNW trip soon, would love to see where you guys explore!
I had an ovarian cyst and literally walked around like that , so much pain ny my abdomen but also my back and pelvic . Literally cried for several days and still went to work, regretted that part . I hope you feel better and don't overwork yourself .
I also had really bad tailbone pain that wouldn't go away with medication or physio until I went to see an osteopath. He aligned my pelvis and the pain was gone after that. Highly recommend!
The backpacker’s pantry: granola with blueberries, almonds, & milk is my favorite breakfast for backpacking/camping! Thank you for sharing, glad you’re ok now! -another RU-vidr who solo camps/backpacks 😁
Feel better soon! 🪴 The breath trying to catch the mosquitos cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 I really really appreciate you guys sharing your trip! Feels like I’m hanging out with friends while watching this ♥️
I also hurt my tailbone really bad from a fall and there is hope! I used my donut pillow religiously in my car, sitting at my desk, etc and it really helped the healing process. It's hard sitting for long periods of time, but bring your donut pillow wherever you can. You got this
Wonderful video! Sitting at the picnic table at the campsite is always the best! My favorite dehydrated meal is Mountain House Breakfast Skillet. So good that I'll have it for dinner too.
I wish you a fast recovery Weylie! Hemorrhoid pillows are great for anything butt and vagina related. I used it after I gave birth to my baby. You’ll never know how the roads are going to be riding back home from the hospital.
That’s unfortunate with your tail bone Weylie, glad you salvaged the trip & found a silver lining (by meeting up with Sandra & Matt). Side question, is eating food in your (sleeping) tent a concern, in regards to attracting bears/potentially dangerous wildlife? I realize maybe level of concern differs by location/area, or car camping vs backpacking; and noticed some campgrounds had metal bear safes that you guys used, but just wondering (about food in/near sleeping tent) otherwise? Wishing you many more (pain-free) camping/backpacking trips in the future!
My wife's biggest stickler on going camping is pooping. She has IBS issues and it's always a factor when camping on what we prepare for food and what she eats. I have been looking at options especially for primitive type camping when no restrooms are available like usually at a campground. Glad your tailbone injury wasn't real serious and I can only imagine the pain. It sucks your trip to WA didn't happen, but like you said it all worked out in the end.
Hope your tailbone heals up soon! We definitely aren't getting any younger. So best to take care of ourselves. Got back surgery for sciatica recently and although I held off as long as I could I'm glad i went through with it.
Hi Weylie! Loving the camping content. My fiance and I also enjoy camping. I tell my family the bathroom part isn’t the nicest however wet wipes are going to be your best friend! Of course pick up after yourself when done. Love the camping content keep them up 😊
Peak refuel Thai coconut chicken curry and beef stroganoff. Backpackers pantry chicken pad Thai! Also for backpacking, if you want a comfy sleeping pad that is light and packs down really small, I recommend the klymit static V2. It's all about conserving weight and space!
I also have tailbone issues but from a really stupid decision I made in high school. It still bothers me now and then but I always wonder if I should have gone to the doctor after the initial incident. Nice to know that just resting and letting it heal was the answer anyway. Hope you feel better soon! 💚
I have broken my tailbone twice before. I think it's the worst pain I've ever felt. It flaires up sometimes... Don't know why. It hurts just looking at you 😂 I hope you feel better now.
Try Mountain House chili mac and Mountain House chicken and dumplings, my two favorites from MH while in the backcountry. Sometimes I'll carry a hot link when I head out from the trailhead (like out from a cooler so it stays cold for as long as possible) and cut those up on the first night and throw those in the chili Mac for an extra calorie kick/yummy kick. Imagine taking a dip in the most beautiful alpine lake, and sitting with your best buddies around a campfire while having a hot meal. You'll understand why those people on the packaging are so happy. Hope recovery is speedy, hang in there!
glad you're ok now Weylie! you're such a trooper holding back them tears lol and esp for squeezing in one last camping adventure before going back home. also love seeing how you and Wah are still so playful and banter-y as y'all were back in the WahlieTV days 🥺💖 these adventurous vlogs are so wonderful to see with you two, always wishing y'all the best 🫶🏼
love you guys been watching both of you for years! you might have noticed this already but I think the range rover's righthand side taillight is out, see 11:08
Mountain House Pad Thai and Mountain house Beef Lasagna are my favorites. Backpacker’s Pantry Crème Brûlée and Backpacker’s Pantry chocolate cheesecake are my favorite desserts. Mountain House beef stroganoff is good to but I ate that too much my first year of backpacking so I’m kind of tired of it
Thanks for sharing your camping trips with us! I'm still confused about the potty...like you go on the ground and pick up the #2? Have you considered using an OXO 2-in-1 Go Potty? I only know about it bc i have a 1 yo now. It's a portable potty that can hold the bag so kids can do their business while you're on the go. I'm thinking try on our next camping trip 😂
Sorry to hear the trip was cut short. If I had to guess, I think the diet of the freeze dried camping food could've been the culprit of the tailbone inflammation. Those are super high in salt!!
Can consider injections into that area if it’s a chronic issue :( for bad flare ups maybe a cortisone shot. Some of our patients have had a similar issue
Wowww, haven’t watched the video yet but wanted to comment first LOL. My husband and I went on our first non glamping trip last week and it wasn’t all that bad Weylie lol. As long as you have all the equipments to make yourselves comfortable!
I had a similar problem and wasn’t able to walk or push things either. I went to PT. Turns out I was hypermobile, hips not functioning properly, and the biggest one was pelvic tilts. I wasn’t doing proper squats. It took a lot of retraining, and making sure to do mobility and strength slowly overtime!I genuinely understand that pain and no one understands until it happens to them. I’m sorry :(
