Good to see your making some new videos. I always enjoy hearing your stories. I enjoy seeing Q&A interviews if you are able to do some of those. Hope everything improves with your health and social security.
You are such a good guy. Your wife is a sweetheart and your daughter is beautiful product of your love. I enjoy your videos. Your determination and positive attitude is wonderful
@@crewfamilyphilippines hi, I sent a gift through pay pal. I hope you received it. My name is Laura and last name I keep private but part of name with some z's. Anyway, I do hope you received it- I put a note that I am not wealthy etc.
God bless you sir and your family. I know is hard right now. Prayers to overcome this. I feel you and health is wealth!! Good job Argel stick up for you and hope you get something at the end soon..🙏❤️
Not many people who come to the phillipine as lucky as you. God bless you & just keep it up what you are doing to your abilities from Penang, malaysia.
The VA helped me get social security disability at 58 first try. Didn’t know if you were a veteran. My cousin got it first try in Oklahoma at 59 . With your condition should be easy
Yeah I just know to get approved it may take a few months. My plan is to get regular social security and then add my daughter to that then I will work on disability Mike at least that’s the plan
Pls see your neiurologist and cardiologist regularly . See physiotherapist event at home . Make sure your blood pressure is below 130 /7o, well controlled sugar of diabetic , healthy diet
Thank you for the information Monty. I hope everything goes well and strong with your health issues and with your Social Security Application. Take care. Have a great day.
Thank you Monty for the wonderful video in explaining about your family and decisions you made to live a happy and less stressful life with your family. Keep up the good work, don't stress over the trolls that don't agree with any decisions, stay proud of what you've accomplished and thankful for what you have. Stay healthy and we will keep you in our prayers. God bless
Thank you Jay I really appreciate your kind words brother. I don’t really mind the trolls 👿 I feel sorry for them actually. If your life is so boring that all you have to do is go around making negative comments that’s sad. We are very thankful for all the blessings God has given us. May you stay healthy and happy as well. God bless you and yours as well 😊💛
It would be interesting if you interviewed your wife as to how she grew up in the Philippines..she could tell about her beliefs (old wives tales) if she believes in the (WAK Wak) and so on…
I watched the video with Bill a little earlier today. He seemed nice. It's good to have solid friends and acquaintances. Monte what is your other youtube channel?
Great advise Monty ! -- Legal is the way to go. -- Hope things improve for you & yours soon. The SS was a huge help for me when I had 2 mini-strokes @ 55 here in the US. I'm 73 now w/o anymore strokes after stints in both carotids in 05 & 06. -- I'm actually thinking of coming over there for my remaining years. Winters are hard here and inflation is terrible. My $1500 SS '''should''' go further there (I'm hoping) as I have somewhat mastered frugal living ? -- Looking forward to the adventure and getting acquainted with some fine people over there. -- Do you think I'm going to be OK with this budget of only perhaps $1200 & try saving the rest ? Health insurance will be expensive + some blood pressure meds. ? --- What say you ? --- Steve on the Philippine info channel says he can still get me a $60 / month apartment w/very long lease in Traces Martires if I'll spend about 2k to 'make it mine' & comfortable ? -- I'd call 'that' frugal ! -?-
Hi Frank, I think it will be fine on that budget. We own our place but the three of us survive on $850 per month including my meds which are over $300 per month. I knew the units he’s talking about are small but you can spend a lot of time outside since it’s always warm here. I would come over and enjoy as many beautiful years as you can here.
I’m so sorry to hear that brother. I’m glad that the surgery went well. Some encouragement for you. I had a good friend who was a Cardiologis he had colon cancer and he had the surgery and lived to be 96 without complications 💛🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 we will keep you in our prayers
I'm sorry to hear that you guys have voltage problems with your American appliances in the Philippines. European expats won't have that problem. Here in Belgium we switched from 110V to 220V in the early 1960s. I remember being 5 years old when my parents bought their first apartment. We came from an old rental apartment which still had 110 and our new apartment had 220, so some of our appliances still had to be converted. While the grown ups were moving furniture around, I wanted to play some music an plugged in the radio. Fortunately, someone saw the smoke coming out and unplugged it immediately. Thanks to me, we didn't have music for a while. Kids are fun to have around, but you have to watch their hand and feet! LOL
I didn’t know that it was 110 there until the 60s that’s funny you burnt up the radio. The day the music died 😂 until they brought a new one. Yeah kids can definitely get into trouble. My daughter who is now 32 pushed a key into a socket as kid and it scared her off pretty badly. 🤣
Monty great vedio it was a risk you just happens to pick the right flipina and god was with you sir i hope one day moved to phlippines for my retirement
Hi Monty. Good video. Everyone has their own unique story to tell and always interested to hear. On the electric appliances the only things I have to worry about are my laptop and phone and I had only one converter before. I went to a hardware store downtown acroos from the old Unitop and got 2 more converters and they are very good quality and only 199 peso. I always carry one with me when I travel so I have no worries about that. Hope you get your Social Security fixed soon. You look like you are doing better all the time.
I was referred to your channel by Ol Kano. Liked and suscribed. All I can do is view including the commercials for now. Youre last two videos were very informative, because im almost in the same situation. I've had a couple strokes, and waiting for social security and early pension withdrawal. So your last video hit home. 🙏🐻✌️
@@crewfamilyphilippines it's in the process, hopefully it gets approved 🙏. My girlfriend and son's are in Cebu. Like I said your situation hit me at the heart. I hope and pray your health and situation improves. And hopefully everything gets sorted out for you. You're last two videos were very informative. Thank you. ✌️🐻🙏
As always, thanks Monty. I would appreciate detailed information about some "box/container" that you can buy here and use to ship things economically to PI. Heard it mentioned by Paul and others but I do not quite understand it. Maybe remind us dummies or newbies what is good to include in it. I will visit very soon so could ask then, but thought it might be a good topic still.
Monty your a blessing and, im learning tagalog and Bisaya its literally kicking my ass,but i know that my fiance (4years already)has relatives that aren't really good in ENGLISH SOO.busring my behind,so i can talk in my fiance soon to be wifes dialect..and i subscribed again blessing and god bless you my brother especially ur family 👪 ❤
Thank you so much Ed. I’m glad that you’re taking the initiative to learn another language. I English and Spanish which many of the words here are the same so that helps but they have a different accent here for those words 😊
Lithium goes through the airport just fine. The computer and phone that you recommend contain lithium batteries. The only requirement is that you hand carry all your lithium. It cannot be in your checked luggage. I regularly carry multiple computers and phones around the world...which is a pain because of the lithium restrictions, but it definitely can be done.
Hello my friend I'm glad everything is working out for ya'll 😊 its great your doing good I hope you a full recovery and I'm praying your retirement comes through for you, you deserve the best and you have a beautiful family 😊
Get you some lagundi leaf for congestion it works, it's in most the drug stores here liquid or tablets iv taken both, it saved me through covid opened me right up and cleared out the congestion, it a plant that grows here, hope you get to feeling better 😊
Generally, if a person cannot work due to an injury or illness, they are able to collect short disability or sometimes permanent disability benefits as long as a doctor fills out the disability forms. Are you at least receiving that until the social security benefits kicks in? Or did you attempt to get such benefits?
Hi Cardo, at the time I had the stroke I owned a business that still had money coming in even though I wasn’t doing the work myself and they wanted to see last years tax returns and denied me
Monty, my loving advise is to go on the Carnivore diet! It will completely Heal all your conditions! Please Just research Carnivore diet! Take care and God bless!
I did it for 2 years in the past and did well. My friend Paul (old dog is on it) right now honestly I cannot afford that diet. God bless you and yours brother 😊
Try to contact the us embassy in manila for your sss concern they are to serve their people. My husband was hesitant to do it when he came here but I insisted. We walked in and they do the process for my hubby. We open BDO dollar account and they transfer it there.
Good to hear that. For my hubby permanent resident visa I researched the nearest immigration office near us which is baguio city ( that process 13a and permanent resident) thru immigration helpline. Ph. My husband is senior he has COPD and asthma he can't travel travel that time ( pandemic) and the officer was so good I submitted our folders thru lbc and when it was approved I authorised someone to bring his passport there for stamps and got his ACR card. We have a good hospitals here to that attend to my husband's medical needs he just undergone colonoscopy 2 years ago good doctors he has his pulmonogist for copd check ups. They gave him senior discount when he was confined even he is not a resident. Good luck monty and God bless the whole family
Hi Bear, I was talking about a battery backup supply. I’m not sure about the drone batteries. I would check with the airlines to see what is allowed. Thank you very much for watching Sir 😊
@@crewfamilyphilippines sorry for the confusion. I just looked it up. Yeah I can see the airlines deny that. Threw me off when you said the word lithium. I asked about drones, because past blogger had issues with drones on carry on luggage in the past. But I believe it was flying out of different countries. And I also know about electronics bieng almost if not twice as much. As I will probably take a couple of laptops with me. I recommend never take electronics in their original packaging (boxes). That will be a red flag at customs
Hey Monty I believed you are entitled to apply for Social Security Disability since you are unable to work anymore due to your health! Not hurt to try!
Yes I’m going to work on that. I was turned down once because I still had my business going then. I’m going to get my regular social security then I’ll work on getting the disability 😊🤞🏻
I don't worry about what filipinos say in their own native tongue if I don't trust you I don't trust you. I watch peoples facial expressions and mannerisms.
Hope you keep well. 8 years ago I had a Heart Attack. Then in the ambulance I had 3 Cardiac Arrests in UK. Still hold the record for surviving. Living in Thailand now. Retired last year 67 years old. Dave
@@crewfamilyphilippines you are young man 👍, and you have great family as well, hope everything goes smoothly . I am 63 and thinking about settling in Philippine or Thailand , it is very appreciated that you are giving us the informations about Philippines. Stay safe brother 👍💐💐💐🙏
@@John-ds6jz Thank you very much brother. I tried Thailand. The infrastructure is great. The medical care is great, but the people are more friendly here and many of them speak English which was a big selling point for me
Why didnt you apply for disability as soon as u had the stroke? Be well. God Bless. Hope your wife and daughter are doing well. I have not seen them with you on a video for awhile. A wheelchair is a must if you cant walk or a transit chair so you can go places. Dont be shamed. I cant barely walk either and am home bound unless someone go with me and push me in the chair. I keep it in the trunk and use cane or walker to get to the car or around the house. I hope you get the ss. I think you should have apply for disability but prob too late now. You can do it all by phone video phone. As I said I never went to the office and I could have been in timbuktoo when I spoke with the rep at ss office she would not have known. You just need a US address and then use computer for alot of the application. Lets have cooking video and lets take a drive to the mountains and lets take baby girl to somewhere fun.....
Hi Laura. I still owned the business when all of this happened and the first question they asked was how much money I made the year before. They are doing fine they have just been busy 😊🙏🏻
Yes I’m going to work on that after I get my regular social security. Need an income now. 😊 thank you for your advice, though Mark, and watching our video.
