note: I'm usa online-only because worked better for me I have various cards (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX) as well as just carry cash too. The interface works good and I get high interest rate savings account.
I'm in the middle with both online banks and physical brick and mortar locations, but the physical banks tend to be credit unions. Screw the big 5 banks. Credit unions are the way to go for physical banking unless you can actually find a small bank that doesn't charge a fee and have as good deals as the credit unions.
Definitely keeping both like you suggested. I think another thing about the online bank (For EQBank) is when you make a deposit it kinda takes few days for it to be actually deposited but it'll be reflected in the acct balance, but apart from that it has been a smooth ride all the way. Heading to my Brick and mortal bank for a downgrade of my Chequing account to a free one. You rock Reni
Choose both I never put my money in one bank account or with one bank online banks sometimes give better interest rates so if you are saving money you might want to look into that. Most of the transactions I do with banks is online anyways but I prefer both.
Awesome 👏🏾 content Reni. I am an advocate for hybrid banking (a mix of traditional and online) 😊, that way you can get the benefits from both sides. Something like One traditional bank and 2 Online banks.
