When to Dress Your Greyhound 

Olive is such an adorable greyhound. Each grey has its very own personality & Olive is a real cutey. I love greyhound ears. Olive has such expressive ears. Exceptional breed. Miss mine so much.

Well greyhounds are sighthounds, after all, so it is particularly important that they are looking good at all times. Its basically science!!! Olive's wardrobe is on fleek, of course!

I was surprised at your "less than 15 degrees" comment. Is that celsius? Because I was heavily involved in greyhound rescue and readoption for over a dozen years. I owned three of my own. I"m also a vet tech/nurse. The best rule of thumb, everyone, is that if you need a coat, your greyhound needs a coat. The fur on a greyhound is very thin, and they have extremely low body fat. This means they have no insulation, and cannot regulate their own temperature in either very cold - OR VERY HOT - conditions. Assume your greyhound needs what you need, as far as coverings and coats. If it's below freezing, cover their ears with a "snood" hood, because they get frostbite easily. If it's a very hot dog, keep them hydrated with a lot of water, spray water regularly from a spray bottle on their head, chest and tummy if they have to be out. Better, just keep them inside where it's shady and cool on a hot day. When I had my own greyhounds, I owned rain slickers (with snoods), light coats, heavy fleece coats (with snood) and coats specifically designed for sub-zero "arctic" weather - these also came with snoods and were made like ski suits - that sort of materials. We spent time outside all winter, but they were prepared and stayed nice and warm and happy. At night I turn my thermostat down low and the house gets fairly chilly, so my greys always had "jammies" on at night. On very cold drafty winter days, they liked their jammies on all day long.

I knew i wasn't crazy! My pooch tends to get cold easily, so she needs some light blankets when the autumn is arriving and also clothes, what if those blankets and clothes are fancy af(? Loved your video and the fanciness of your dog and her wardrobe ✨

Help I rescued a greyhound/?bozoi? /?scottish deerhound? He was malnourished badly stressed so bad he’d lost all hair on chest hips all 4 legs he’s put on about 7-8 lbs so far he needs like 10 lbs more but we go slow for health hair coming back but thin and sparse fall is here soon winter I can’t find a shop that would have pjs turtlenecks onesies fleece or fleece lined anything does anyone know of a good shop for these things around champagine Illinois as we would have to go in make sure he likes them and they fit right as his skin seems delicate to me so I make sure any type of rubbing stuff harness straps ect are cushioned I’m really doing my best to spoil him rotten being that he have a not so great 1st 3&1/2yrs of life and then just dropped off at shelter and in emaciated condition shelter tried to help him as much as situation allowed and thank god they picked me and he picked me as I fell in love at first sight now I just need to find my skinny lover boy some warm cloths that are soft for his skin and he deserves it any info would be appreciated by both of us thank tou
