When To Mow After New Seeding 

How long after overseeding until you can mow? If you overseed in the fall like me, then you’re probably looking out your window right now waiting to mow. It all depends on the grass seed that you put down.
Perennial Rye Grass germinates in 5 days and you can mow it in around 2 weeks. I waited to mow after 21 because I planted Kentucky blue grass. It takes 14-21 days for KBG to germinate that’s why I wanted so long.
Make sure your mower blade is sharp so you cut the grass instead of rip it out of the ground.
