Oh my goodness the varigated fungus gnat almost made me choke on my coffee 😂😂 This is why I love to watch your content. I initially began watching to learn how to take better care of my plant collection, but I keep watching for these brilliantly hilarious moments... and Pedro, of course 💛🦜

Hi Liz, I admire ALL your succulents so so much. I wish I had as much space as you to have all those babies. Question, so you leave the leaves in drawers, etc until they start rooting? Thank’s Liz ❤

Yes, I do leave them out to grow roots. I will be doing another propagation video soon. Please keep an eye out for that video. Thanks for watching.

I always love coming home to your videos! I’m only four minutes in but I realized I never asked you if you have strictiflora v nova? Or sinocrassula yunananensis? I’ve begun collecting those over the past year and I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen you with those. The nova’s are incredible! Absolutely phenomenal I love them I’ve been able to propagate a few leaves and I’ve propagated hundreds of the sinocrassula 😍 Here we are three years later and I’m still saying I wish we could send Plants back-and-forth lol OK I’m gonna finish the video and then I have to get to work mowing the lawn.❤️❤️love you my Liz. ❤️❤️❤️

I've featured both plants a couple of times in my earlier videos in this channel and also on my Liz Kreate succulent videos. The yunanensis (Hedgehog) I started with a crested one that flowered and died but also grown many babies from it in the rectangular container with my succulent weeds. Good to see your comment again. Take care and have a great weekend my Janet!🥰

1:00 I have both the pink and gold callisia reopens/tradescantia got them about a month ago..and the gold seems to grow twice as fast as the pink I’m guessing it’s because of the variegation of the pink .they are one of my new favorites . yours looks great 😊

Dragon fruit is what that cactus off shoot is. They're meant to cling and climb and you can have fruit for free.

Hi Liz… your succulent podcasts are very interesting and informative, and you have that showmanship which makes the video so entertaining. My question, generally speaking when do you transfer your leaf propagated plantlets to their own pots? Thanks!
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK 2 года назад
Thanks for watching Kathe. You can transplant them anytime. It's only a matter of knowing when to water them to keep them growing. But as a rule, I always let them dry up between watering and the smaller the pot, the more frequent the watering.

Great ratio in leaves growing , do you think the beginning propagation do better indoors ?
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK 2 года назад
I find they do better indoors where the temperature is not too hot or not too cold; provided there's plenty of light.

Red wine mixed with a bit of water and dawn dish soap. I leave it mixed in a small bowl and it attracts all the F gnats 😉

I was just watching your video and heard you say with leaves you don't water them if they have roots or pimples. I put my leaves on top of the soil but watered them could this be why they are taking so long to start or the leaf's root.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK 2 года назад
No water if NO Roots is what I said. Some variety of succulents takes longer than other variety to grow roots or pimples (pimples are baby succulents). I thought I was very detailed on this video. May I suggest watching the video again for the detailed explanation or examples. Cheers

Do you just let the mealybugs live on your lead propagations. I just battled a mild infestation on my props I washed them all in alcohol and water. Some were salvageable most weren’t.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK

I usually check my leaf props regularly and remove the mealies using a pointed tweezer. If it's really bad, the metho solution works a treat and doesn't hurt the new pimples.

I put the leaves straight on the soil without letting it dry out 😬
