I think i figured out what happened in the clip in 6:40. In queen's kill cam, she threw her knife at tracer (killing her) but it pierced to rein, timer for the automatic knife return finished when she was ulting, and the pull force brought rein in front of her, pinning her in the process.

You blink in right as a tracer ult around a corner explodes. You try to iceblock the nano second you get headshot. You walk out a door to a Rein mid-charge from the side. Your enemy Widow is having the best game of their career. It's like a cursed experience where you're losing every coin flip lol.

I have over 1200 hours in quick play and only 180 hours in comp. And I will tell you the teams I get in quick play and the difficulty in quick play is sometimes more difficult than plat or diamond.

The death of QP is very interesting to me. I played OW1 from beta, and was a mid masters player. I stopped playing a year before OW2. When I came back, OW2 had already released a few new heroes, and I’m not going to pay to get them. So now I need to WIN 50 games to unlock them. So instead of playing a fun hero and enjoying the game, win or loss, I play Moira and win. I assume this change affected the general QP vibe. It’s not about having a good time and trying to learn new heroes, it’s simply about winning. How am I ever supposed to learn doom fist in QP? I just don’t. I stick to what I know. How is a new player supposed to learn anything??? How can I attempt to play a new hero in my higher elo QP lobbies? My skill between all heroes is drastically different, as I assume most people’s are. I might be Masters Winston, but my DVA is probably Plat or lower, while my Doomfist is Bronze5. Being in a high elo QP match forces me to just play Queen and stomp the enemy. Not fun for us at all. In OW1, I used to just remember having fun in QP, not bothered about winning or losing. What a time.

Whenever I play QP I notice that I get flamed for making decisions and mistakes far more than comp. I’m playing QP im practicing my battle mercy aim, fucking have fun and nano me.

I remember my idk 3rd game in overwatch? I played rein and lost to doomfist and immidiately got called tank diff from one of our "team" "mates". Not that i care but just remembered it for whatever the reason and shared cuz its pretty funny

I thought people tryharding and mega sweating was mostly restricted to console. Guess not.

I think part of why qp is so sweaty is that comp doesn't allow over a duo queue, and if you are playing more than one game atm, which I think most are. You play apex when you have 3 people, and ow when you have 4 or 5, so you can't even play ranked you are forced to play qp.

I dont understand the mentality that you shouldnt try to win in QP. I understand playing characters you arent the best at and practicing there but you should still try to win.

Quite unfortunate situation that quick play has become. I had a monkey on my team who was not having a good day, and my team mate was flaming him and asking him to switch. The fella ended up apologizing for not playing very well. I literally told him there was nothing he has to be sorry for in Quick Play game, and play as he wanted to. Anyways we lost that game, but the monkey got POTG XD

I think Rein should get an exclusive passive that makes him swing faster after every successful hit,

Qp is unplayable on old accounts, playing on wife's account that is similarly ranked warranted less toxic, easier matches (she is higher elo than me) so I hope the devs address this bs

It's heartening to see Top 500 players having the same rough time as the rest of us :) And I don't mean that as a put-down, either. There's this idea that high-rank players are somehow magical and unattainable, but they're still just human.

Me and my friends just play casually, using Overwatch to chill out and chat, but lately I've had to turn off all chats because people keep yelling at me or my friends to switch, call us bad or generally just be mean. We're not trying to win - we're trying to have fun. It makes me want to move away from Overwatch, I hate how sweaty QP has gotten.

People saying that qp is so sweaty, but have u considered that it's still a competitive game mode and people want to win? That's like humans nature - be competitive, no wonder they sweat. To make things better - since u have nothing to lose people go wild with some team comp and strategies. Above that winning a match doubles the number matches played in weekly quests(?), making it easier to farm 60 coins. Aaaand if u have new account in order to unlock comp u need to win 50 matches, to unlock new character - win 35 matches (all roles or that characters role: dps for sj, tank for jq) for each character, making it up to 245 matches. ps: idk if its for everyone, but its like that for my alt account i created on illari update.

i miss the days when you'd be halfway through a qp game and the enemy mercy would be alone and start saying hi and emoting and half the team would join in and then the game would end with only one person actually doing anything bc everyone else is off in bumfuck nowhere, some unexplored corner of the map just emoting and spamming voicelines

I can't take most games seriously anymore because it's always like I'm fighting a e sports teams and playing my best roll on ow is pure pain. My best role is tank so ow is not fun if i play it i have to sweat so hard because their whole team changes to counter me it's pure suffering

Blizzard can try their hardest to make qp sweaty, but that’s not gonna stop me from playing a Torbjorn game using only his hammer, or a mercy game using only her pistol. Blizzard can try but they won’t take the ow1 out of this ow2 player.
