I am from mustang and two of my closely related grandfather were khampa guerrilla during that time. They past away a few years ago. They used to tell every story about how they escape from tibet at the age of 16 and how they struggle fighting with chinese forces. I was a child at that time so I didn’t pay much attention but I regretted it now. They also show me the ruin of khampa settlement near my village. I hope one day tibet will have its own land. Thank you for sharing this information with us.

But Khampas were not only fighting against china, they were also attacking indigenous tribes of Nepal like Tangbes and Thakalis. Lots of Tangbe and thakalis left there native lands and made move towards pokhara or other nearby urban region after threats from Khampas.

very well researched and to the point! Tibet king has married Nepali princess BRIKUTI, so by relationship, Nepal & Tibet has very strong past relationship. Brikuti is considered as living goddess in Tibet and still prayed by Tibetan in tibet in todays date. The only sad thing is Tibet was illegally occupied and those western countries used Tibetan for their own benefits. The main reason many khampas committed suicide is because Dalai lama asked them to surrender and they treat him like god. At the same time, they also love their country deeply , so they couldnt bear the pain and committed suicide. Khampas warrior are very brave people like gorkhas of Nepal. They didnt surrendered because of fear, they did coz of pain and hopelessness they felt that time. In this video, everything is correct except Tibet map was shown incorrectly coz real tibet map is way bigger than this , the one shown is newly made by China few decade ago. It is same like how India used nepal place like kalapani in their map and how china use tawang, north east region in their map despite being its still under India. With these powerful neigbhour only poor, weak and innocent are only killed and crushed. Rest is history!
