00:00 Closing Arguments with Vinnie Politan 04:44 Matt Johnson Recaps Day 25 13:42 Expert Analysis #CourtTV What do YOU think? MORE HERE: www.courttv.com/tag/karen-read/?
It’s not rocket science. This is a simple hit and run that turned into the lock ness monster flying in an alien spaceship around a flat earth. One person started that and her name is Karen.
I think L&C should look back over how they covered this case. Pure trash journalism all over feeding the FKR loons and all in the pursuit of views. A man died
@@Annani007 So you think the guy who literally helped developed the Cellebrite software and works for Cellebrite as a decoding manager doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to interpreting Cellebrite data. This was explained. 2:27 was when the initial browser tab was opened, NOT when the "Hos long" search was made. But I suppose you're just gonna believe what you want to believe, evidence and reason be damned.
@@drewc771The “experts” were given limited data to work with so there is no reasonable degree of certainty. We also need to remember that Higgins and Albert were butt dialing each other within minutes of the 2:27 am search.
How about we get to some actual Injury Evidence! Where is the medical examiner?!?!?! Punctures and scratches are not injuries from a car hitting him and breaking a tail light. There should be broken bones and bruising. Why are they spending so much time on a google search?!?!?! Where are the injuries??????????????
As a european it really shocks me to c the defense team talking outside the court to media while the case is going on!! Would'nt happen anywhere in europe.!!
Because your country is literally trash when it comes to court system and actual justice lol lol your country literally granted amber heard a winning case please don’t talk lol lol 😂
It was searched at 6 twenty something am in the morning when Karen ASKED Jenn to search it. Despicable that Karen obviously has known this all along but has let people get ran through the wringer and brutally harassed.
They would have framed the snow plow driver. I betting that was the original plan and they are wishing they had stuck with it. He wouldn’t have the funds to hire a decent attorney and probably could have been gaslighted into believing he may have hit JO
My girlfriend was hit by a backing car in probably 15-20 mph and her elbow got busted, her hip and leg was purple and bruised, her knee busted BUT she dident fly 30 feet, she lost her balance on inpact and "flew" stumbled maybe 10 feet before she was one ground, and that was not a sideswipe, it was a full straight hit, the car dident even got a dent. Even IF the 2:27 dident happened Karen is not guilty cause of doubts. Injuries, timelines etc dont match. Love from Sweden 🇸🇪 🇸🇪 🇸🇪 🇸🇪 🇸🇪
Wow I am so sorry for your girlfriend I hope she made a full recovery and is doing well. I agree completely, I feel as though this case is simple physics, medical injury analysis and common knowledge. I am shocked at the amount of people who don’t know how ridiculous this whole theory truly is.
My theory: She hit him in a drunken rage, either intentionally or not, left him there and went home. After sleeping for a while, she began to sober up and remember snatches of what happened then panicked.
I agree with your theory. she seemed to wake up in a panic very early in the morning almost like it was a fifteen year old daughter that hadn't come home. she wants us to believe she was this worried about a grown man who was as far as she knew, with his friends?
And Joe Paul's idea that a taillight will do deep cuts like that on a person's arm is pretty rediclous! And doesn't stay down when hit head supposedly on curb yet gets up and moves 30 feet....not possible!!!
A woman who took away a 3rd parent , a son , a great friend? May walk because the waters have been so muddied. Everyone is gonna think they can be a defense attorney like jackass Jackson.
Dog didn't kill anyone. Doesn't matter. And if you're naive enough to believe the dog caused any injuries, who's to say the dog didn't bite his arm while he was laying in the lawn after Karen hit him? That doesn't fit your fantasy, does it?
Yes I heard an explanation as to why the arm injuries could be from a dog, it won’t necessarily look like perfect round puncture wounds, while pulling away during a dog bite the skin would indeed tear. Leaving it to look more like slices, which is what it looked like.
@@diver291 right the phone expert basically said she opened her phone at 2:27 to look at the basketball website and then at 6:30 AM. She dialed how long to die in the cold.
This question has been answered definitively now, Karen Read asked Jen McCabe to type “Hos long to die in the cold” at 6.23am after she struck John with her SUV & left him there to die in the snow.
If she did indeed google it at 6am at Karen's request it also doesn't make sense to me. Why would you google that when he's still alive. It makes more sense to me if he was chucked out after a fight but even then...
After seeing how the prosecutor and cops and detectives have been handling this case, I don’t put anything past them!!! We seen the doctored video so honestly if the jury caught that then they are going to question everything that the prosecutor says
They know the speed of the Lexus, the rate of deceleration after impact, the angle the steering wheel was turned, when the brake pedal was pressed, the percent that the gas pedal was pressed...goodnight Karen. Try explaining that away.
Even if she did a k turn, it doesn't mean she hit him. Why are they trying to put the two together? And the court says John was the pedestrian, which is used to sway the jury into believing it was a motor vehicle hit and run. He is simply the victim. I want to know how his hand shattered a Lexus tail light, like the prosecutor is claiming.
@@Chris-wn9hi So you’re willing to disregard all that data? The exact rate of acceleration, deceleration, angle of steering wheel, angle of gas pedal, and distance traveled, all because of a subjective view of how a hand breaks a tail light?
I think she might have hit him by mistake.dont believe she murdered him on purpose .plus the prosecutions witnesses were not trust worthy or competent..😢
Ok so let’s use common sense here. Karen asked Jen to google how long to die in the cold. Think about it peoples. Why would Karen ask that if she didn’t know what time John was left on the cold? The simple and logical answer is she knew roughly what time she hit John and left him in the cold. She had over 5 hours to save that poor man who was freezing to death but she chose not to for whatever reason. Guilty.
You're basing all of that on one person's word. There's no evidence to show she actually asked her sister to google that. There's enough reasonable doubt to believe that Jen searched that on her own, hence, Jen knew he was freezing to death.
@@jbekkers11who sister ? What are you talking about. They are in the car together when this Google search is done. Roberts has nothing to do with any cops or family’s. She is John’s friend and looks after his kids and helped him regularly. What you are saying isn’t fact. Fact is Karen asked that when doing her Betty Davis routine. That’s acting incase you don’t know what I’m talking about.
@@stevenprice6957 I meant to refer to her as Albert's sister in law. No, you don't know she asked that, especially not if they're in the car together. You're trusting one person's word over another.
Common sense let's use it...why do people dump their phone in a military base dumpster and others got rid of phones, or got evidence in red solo cups, or search area for taillight for 3 weeks, get rid if dog, basement floor changed, cops don't search house with a dead person on the lawn, many many butt dials and phone calls while John was in yard....please let's do use common sence.
One important thing to keep in mind about conducting an online search is that it leaves behind cookie crumbs, similar to footprints. The search engine only has real-time data at the time of the search, which is when the device establishes the search history. If you delete the text, the search engine is unable to see the data (cleared/deleted search history) as it is a device-based setting.
@@recentlyretired The guy that testified today is literally a decoding manger with cellbrite, and backed up everything she said. Didn't happen. The defense's claim was debunked.
@@KO_IslandGirl Right...because a guy who literally works as a decoding manger for Cellbrite is not an expert on interpreting Cellbrite data. Exactly what credentials would satisfy you?
Again guy with yellow tie...explain Alberts house not searched considering a dead man was their property, or the basement floor changed, or house sold or better yet dog gone and ohhh yeah solo cups used in investigation. Just a few. 🤷♀️
It's easy to explain, Karen said she killed him, she didn't show up like an innocent person would and say " WTF happened I dropped him off here" that would've given police cause to search house. She admitted over and over she hit him , it doesn't take a genius to figure out just need a brain capable of critical thinking skills
@@jennyray1476 Try critical thinking skills and go over all the lies and cover up of the case in full. Today for instance we are listing to a man with an associates degrees who tried to reconstruct the accident. He's never seen those pics Jackson showed him and the quiz was great Jackson gave to him lol he couldn't answer questions correctly. Please use your critical thinking skills...please.
I don't think any of them would ever take an Uber!! It's more fun to drive your 2000 pound missile down the road and endanger all. I think it happened inside.
@@eclecticacre2593 I think it happened inside, too, but that was my point... they couldn't have blamed it on Karen doing it because of her supposed anger w/him.
I agree I just do not think that all these cops and the people in the house all are in this big conspiracy. But I do think the two Bryan’s destroyed their phone because they either had incriminating illegal or embarrassing content. They probably had information about other people in that little town and on the police department. So they said we got to get rid of these phones. But they didn’t kill John O’Keefe. Think she was drunk she backed up and hit him.
@@SunnyDays70s Did you not just listen to the data from the vehicle's event recorder. That data cannot be manipulated. You basically believe the Alberts are Jesus Christ and can alter every aspect of everyone's testimony.
Let's blame the friends, the police, the experts, the entire town but oh nooo never drunk Karen. I'm with Kevin on this one! I hope the jury sees through Karen's bs story.
@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates TY. If they knew that formula they should have re created it. I thought a computer would turn off or go to another login screen after hours of being opened and not be touched.
@Channel99-1 Trying the case in the public in my view is unprofessional and dangerous. Reads defense lawyers have provoked the population into harassing witnesses and stirring up discontent within the community. Everybody has become an expert on a variety of disciplines.
@@maureenwalsh4305I think she's a crazy B but that doesn't equal murderer. Before the case began I just assumed she was guilty because of her bahavior. She didn't seem like she was really eating up the attention, her behavior just didn't seem like a grieving woman that just lost her boyfriend and the smug look on her face all of the time. But thankfully people don't go to prison for those behaviors. Because when the prosecution began its case I realized every single person that knew John was just like Karen. All lying, manipulative weirdos that all seemed like they had something to hide. Like they were all up to something. I don't know how John died but if I had to bet on it, I'd bet that everybody in that house the night /morning of his death knows exactly what happened. Karen is going to walk away a free woman from these charges. Everybody in this case is a disgusting, pathetic human being, especially the lead investigator, the Mccabes and the Albert's.
I don’t think she did it on purpose but I do believe she hit him and it’s her attorney that has put this garbage in her head that she didn’t do it.The business of planting the rear light cover is totally ridiculous.
They demonstrated that her car had a back & overall mirror as well as an automatic alert beeping feature , as she approached to slam anything or anyone😢she had to know, especially that she knew exactly where to find him.😮
It doesn't matter if the search did not generate search results. Smart phones has AI functions that saves and recognize your keyboard activities. The search left a footprint at 2:27 am and this is the only reason it can be deleted from the device. Why delete the 2:27 search only and not the recent searches? Because she doesn't want you to find this. Digital footprints don't lie
well, this specific police force...not ALL police forces. This is the type of thinking that creates problems. You broadly believe an entire group is either all good or all bad. We need to hold EVERYONE individually accountable and stop categorizing into groups! Punish bad and corrupt people, praise good and honorable people. Stop painting everything with a broad brush
My understanding is this police officer “accident deconstructionist isn’t properly qualified to be called an accident deconstructionist. He takes some classes and viola he’s an “accident deconstructionist. True deconstructionists have degrees or postsecondary studies in math, physics, or forensic sciences. So this state witness isn’t really that qualified & how he thinks it’s def a pedestrian hit is sketchy because who’s to say she skidded or bumped a burb? JO would’ve had serious injuries on his chest & legs. I feel he’s in the pocket/brotherhood of the police men involved
There needs to be a way around the 2:27 AM search. It's right there, plain as day. It happened at that time, stamped, and then deleted. They can't lie their way around it. Also, the term "How long to digest food" is recommended at 6:22 AM. The explanation that it means there wasn't a search earlier doesn't hold water. You can search the phrase now and test it. Google will bring up other autofill phrases too. so just ignore that.
She constantly looks at the camera. You can see her mind calculating how much she is looking forward to doing the rounds of tv shows and interviews when she gets away with it.
The testimony from today made me think maybe she didn’t Google it at 2:30am like I originally thought. Even IF Karen hit him… the investigation has been so botched that I couldn’t say without doubt she did it.
If she didn’t murder him, why isn’t she more visibly upset? Can’t imagine the anguish and mental trauma this would cause on someone being accused of killing someone you love? Typical narcissist
Because she’s full of $hit! She did it but she’s gonna get off because she has a sick attorney that hyped up everyone when he said it was “corruption” He got all of these channels on his side so everyone screams how “innocent” she is. Proctor definitely sucks because he screwed this case royally. He should have just let the evidence speak for itself. Unfortunately, she’s gonna get off. John Okeefe and his family won’t get justice and that’s disgusting. It’s so hard to watch this trial.
This just gets more sickening by the day a man is dead and his poor family is in this room just feet away from all these clowns and its amazing to me how many of these lawyers on court tv have already made up their mind i dont think this should be murder but she did hit him
If you were to deliberately elbow a tail light it probably would not break. And he launched 30 feet from being backed into? If she struck him at 25 mph on a snowy street in reverse she'd have slid backwards at least another 20 feet if not farther. And who backs up on side streets, or anywhere, at 25 mph?
@@jenndob3865 Right? So, was he standing or bent down when he was "supposedly hit"? I do not believe she did it. He lost a shoe; how could that have happened? Only if he was dragged to that spot.
I'm to believe she was backing up, at 25 mph on a snowy street😅, struck someone, and then came to an instant stop. First off, go find a wide open parking lot and drive in reverse at 25 mph, see how easy that is. Hint: it's not.
Don't forget that her SUV has traction control, which either limits engine power or applies the breaks during wheel spin in the snow. Her Lexus is also equipped with SAFETY SYSTEM+ which included pedestrian avoidance. We haven't heard anything about this yet. Can't wait for the defense's turn.
Not enough snow for traction just after midnight. You’re talking rollocks. 4WD either with snow mode. lol GET a newer `SUV 🤡 you must drive a nineties SUV 🫠
I haven't made up my mind yet on where to place the guilt, but look at mark 39:39 / 42:07, and you'll see that the mail box is at the correct height where her light was broken.
I still have a problem with a (according to the expert) 7000lb vehicle hitting a 200 lb man and slowing down 1/2 mph and only resulting in a shattered taillight. The vehicle wouldn’t slow down. If it could slow down the vehicle, the only impact was the taillight. That doesn’t explain the injuries to his face. If he landed on his face, how do you explain the gash on the back of his head?
Sorry, but the reconstructionist guy sucked. He did no good for the Commonwealth at all. He was horrible and it makes me wonder how many other cases should be looked at of his. He’s not an expert.
It doesn't matter. They basically saying it didn't happen at 227. She typed it at whatever time. Closed the tab because of the misspelling. Which put it at the 227 time reopened it at 630ish which then created a new to search tab time...he said that 1st search never went threw. Ever search something and it didn't connect and then u close it and research it? Answer everyone has.
The search was done at 6:23 and 6:24 the defense team wanted Jessica Hyde to testify but she refused .. she wasn’t testifying to something that didn’t happen .: in the meantime an innocent witness has been harassed and torchured and fkr mob doesn’t care .karen read called jen for help and this is the nightmare she received for helping her ..the list of witnesses and the harassment is despicable
The AI function of the device recognizes every activity you have done. It doesn't matter if the search didn't yield results; the device captured it at 2:27 am when she attempted to search. It's in her history and it was deleted by JM.
Karen did this. A better defence would have been an accident after she left. The rest is nonsense. Am happy to write this as am in UK so if you want to find me.. have a great flight.
Karen let John O’Keefe out at the curb on Fairview. She never did a 3-pt turn in front of the house. She let John out, and as he walked away… She gunned the SUV in reverse going 24 mph within a 62 ft span hitting John. John had his back to the SUV, facing the house, standing perpendicular to the road. Karen hit John’s right arm causing the friction abrasions, which match up with the 16” long taillight and causing the glass to shatter. Graphic by Art of Deduction/True Crime @FrankWesseling4 On impact he lost his shoe at the curb, as he was thrown about 27' onto the lawn. John landed hitting his head and lay unconscious. Karen drove away.
I don't find that search incriminating at all. She probably just wanted to know if he had been in the snow too long to survive. That doesn't mean she wanted him dead.
If the expert sees that the search happened at 6am - you can't argue with cyber forensics. It would make more sense that she would look it up at 6am after John was found and taken to the hospital & pronounced dead. He wasn't dead at 2:40am
Jenn's Google search happened at the time when first responders arrived. As for the crash reconstruction, It makes no sense for the speed to be 24+ mph if Karen hit John while going in reverse. There wasn't enough distance at the scene for the vehicle to reach that speed.
