I really feel for those who had to travel across the seas only to have all the cost incurred fall apart in an instant. My friends and I sold our Saturday tickets out of skepticism, but we would never expect it to be canceled like this. It's badass that many of the bands opted to do free pop-ups in small venues taking it back to their roots in a way.

Got to see Anthony Green, Senses Fail, Thursday, and Bayside’s pop up show at the Sand Dollar. Was so epic, probably the coolest show I’ve ever been to.

Makes sense really. I know everyone questioned the event initially so they had doubts. But imagine what would happen if the high winds warning went out and they let the show continue and people got hurt or killed because of it. Live Nation is playing it safe after their previous disaster. Cant blame em.

This seemed like an amazing event. I saw comments when it was first announced that it was a SCAM because some of the bands announced weren’t actually asked to play. I really wanted to go but I would have used my savings so I’m glad I didn’t buy tickets & travel.

In 2011 a stage collapsed at the Indiana state fair due to winds. It killed 7 people. I can’t help but think the decision to cancel Saturday was made with that in mind. And give me a break. Everyone is twisting their own stories trying to find a way to make it their own “fyre 2.0”. At the end of the day, this is Live Nation putting on this festival. They aren’t exactly amateurs. And in fact they have had some major issues over the years that make them extremely cautious. I’m sorry everyone is so “heartbroken”, but this isn’t Fyre 2.0. And it never was going to be. People need to stop twisting the story, like those 2 people with VIP you talked to. “My question is… if this is all bull sh**”. No! It’s not a conspiracy, it’s safety!

I knew that festival looked too good to be true! I seriously doubt it "high winds" that cancelled it.. Matt Skiba even said himself that he was amazed at the lineup, and that they posted the lineup before most of the bands even had time to confirm. So I think it goes deeper than this. Sucks you guys had to travel that far though! Sure you can make some sort of holiday out of it

Unfortunately all outdoor events in Vegas were canceled, not just when we were young. The wind got up to 65+mph and it was tearing roofs off of houses. You couldn't even see the sun through the dust in some areas. I guess even if they did have a choice in the matter I don't know if ticketmaster would want to take the risk after what happened at astroworld
