Khanyisa is an expert in feeding herself with those bottles. I think Phabeni has a very smart and clever big sister to show him the ropes. Thanks so much Adine and carers! 🤗
Khanyisa looks so cute running for her milk bottles 😍 She is growing up so fast & now slowly being weaned from her milk means she is becoming a lot more independent. It will be great to see Khanyisa and Phabeni drinking their milk together ❤️🐘💙🐘🍼
I love when khanyisa answer your call adine I love when khanyisa run towards her milk bottles I love when kumbura watch the little one What's a lovely world with these wonderful elephants ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a mother I can say for sure that a few extra bottles of milk to ensure happy babies and long-term peace in the family, is definitely a GOOD investment! Plus, it is goodd that Phabeni can see her grab the bottles and use them, he will learn naturally by watching her.
Khanysa. Is a very beautiful girl, so adorable and precious little baby . She is lucky to be in great hands where she is well taken care of and loved. She was so cute drinking her milk……how good of her taking the bottles and helping herself to drinking milk. Very intelligent creature, absolutely adorable, very smart, sweet and gentle girl. Love Khanysa, she is truly a glorious little girl being so pretty 😍 I only wish that I could be with her to hug and kiss her 😘. God bless Khanysa always with health and a long life; and God bless all of you for your dedication and commitment to save the elephants taking great care of them giving them love and attention. Your kindness and compassion is definitely appreciated. Thank YOU! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
It's always a pleasure to see Little Miss Sunshine gulping down her milk bottles and running to Adine with her special rumble Adine is right not to wean completely Khanyisa now that Phabeni is also getting milk she could be resentful towards Phabeni on the contrary when they are sharing this precious moment it might strengthen their bond
I love watching Khaynisa 🐘 in coming for her milk. Look at those little legs running to Adine 😂. Hello Nandi 🐕. Adine I am sure you will do what's right for Khaynisa 🐘 and her milk bottles 🍼🍼 when the time comes. Have a great day Jabulani 🐘 family.❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
I have loved her since her first day with you and still feel the same she has got such a cheeky personality and she loves Adine so much. Thank you, I never thought those awful wounds would heal. It shows what love and perseverance can do.
Adine, you know what is best for Khanyisa’s well being. If she needs milk bottles until she’s ten years old, then so be it. Her health is what ultimately matters the most. We all would like the little Princess grow up to be a Queen, or pretty close to one. ❤
😢 I will miss seeing her drinking her bottles it will mean that she's all grown up.. Please thank all your stuff for giving her the thousands of bottles of milk that she has had and will have. You and your staff are the best thank you for your dedication and all the love you give to all the animals.
Adine, you know best as well the team. Think you're right that it will bond Khayanisa and phabeni more. Khayanisa is going to be a great sister for phabeni they so precious 🐘💕🐘 Thank you, Adine 🫶
I will always love watching the slurp of those bottles. Long, slow gulps. Something so sweet and loving in it. Khanyisa is growing up, but still a baby in many ways. She will always be Adine's special girl...I know the Carers love her, too. 🥰
🫶Nandi 💚is so lovely 🐾A distinctly lovely moment, shared with Adine and Khanyisa 🐘🍼 milk bottles, big slurps and satisfied hearts 💕 🐘Kumbura, is such a reliable source of protection and love 💞
So nice to see Khanyisa again … I love Phabeni, but I didn’t realise I’d missed baby Khanyisa until I saw her on this video ❤❤🐘🐘🐘❤️❤️❤️. Would be nice to see the two of them together 🐘🐘🐘💞💞💞
Khanysia is watched by Adine and the carers, when she’s near baby Phabeni since she does the back kick as Timisa used to do to her. It’s hard for her not to feel a bit of jealousy seeing her mummy Adine paying so much attention to the new baby.
@@claritadeluna6609Khanyisa copied Timsa behaviour giving Phabeni back kicks at the first meetings as she was unsure how to behave towards him not having experienced this before. I think that they are getting along ok now , hopefully we will see some new videos with them together soon.
Thank you for explaining the weaning process, including the psychology that goes into Khnaisia’s relationship with Phabeni. I hadn’t seen K drink a bottle in a while, so I didn’t realize she was getting bottles. I have learned so much about elephants since finding your channel. ☮️❤️🌍🐘
Cool ~ seeing the temporal display on Khanyisa amid her bottles. Don't think I've noticed it while she's drinking before. Love seeing Kimbura near, as ever. #herdlove #savethelephants 🇸🇿🌍🌿🦋🍼🐘🐑🩵
Thank you so much for the explanation. I was going to ask when she would be weaned, and now I know. As with any baby, it’s a process, and 😢seeing another get what she no longer gets will be tricky. I’m sure she will adapt as the process continues.
Dang that elephant "run" of hers. Terrifyingly fast for something that large, and she's still little! Can't imagine if Sebakwe ever decided he needed to get somewhere in a hurry. Add the "I mean business" trumpet (asopposed to the hello! Trumpet) into the mix and wow, it would be a spectacle! Khanyisa, growing up... :( Phabeni, just starting.. :) Yikes, 13L is approximately 3 gallons, roughly. Chugalug.
Meisiekind runs her to her bottles 😄🍼🍼🐘. How much she loves his milk 😋. Carer Herman says, " she is sucking like a teenager" 😅. Oh dear Khanyisa 😍. Hi Kumbura, hi Nandi 💕. Thank you, Adine for sharing rehab plan 🧡💛🧡. Much love ❣
Adina you are right not to take Khanysia of her bottle feds completely, it would cause friction or as you say jealousy, Love these videos, thank you x🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
THANK U alll so very much for everything u do to my babies beautiful as welll ndinokudai mose zvikuru for ever love u phabeni khanysia tokwe kumbura timisa mambo sebakwe klaserie fishan ald all the rest peace to u allllll
I do love watching Khanyisa getting her milk. Yes, slow and steady. She still has a lot to learn at the moment after years of being the only baby in the family. This delay process is something we know is not normal in this elephant herd, as in the wild, she would have learnt this bit of the transition from seeing it happen numerous times around her.❤🐘♥️
@kp8381 yep yep. Just musing. Humans can be super smart, have tons of experience under their belts, plans and hope... but Khanyisa has not "read the books". It will be another adventure seeing how this will all turn out. Adine and crew are definitely ready for the challenge. But their silly pink elephant is still running at bottle time. Going to be fun watching how this will actually play out.
Thank you for your reassuring message about weaning baby Khanyisa. So much thought has gone into this and I'm really grateful. Love that funny little girl so much. A big thank you, I am very relieved.
That’s a question we will never know. Tokwe had a night where she went rogue. Bubi giving birth was a shocker. It only shows how resilient and stoic she is. Perhaps most viewers would think Sebakwe is the father to all the offsprings that came when they relocated from Zimbabwe. Alas! I think not 😅😅
You could always give Khanyisa bottles with water in them once she is weaned off the milk. They do that at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with some eles so they get a bottle of water for comfort rather than milk when they are weaned off. Just a suggestion cuz then she can get her bottles of water together with Phabeni and his milk and won't feel like she is missing out.
Do baby elephants in the wild feed from their mothers at Khanyisa’s age and hight? I believe i asked this question already, but I also believe i didn’t get a response; unless, I missed it. Thank you in advance. Such beautiful lush green in your video today. Gorgeous grounds!
Potentially, yes, but it depends on circumstances. A lactating elephant cow needs a source of water to keep up her supply to produce 13 litres/3 gallons daily. Apart from the local environment, it also depends on the calf and its growing tusks - just as breastfeeding human mothers may stop if babe bites the nipples, so an elephant cow will stop if she is being hurt by intrusive tusks from a pushy calf.
I saw the title and I was like where did this question come from. As I mother who fed my children from my body it comes along naturally. My first thought was Phabeni and jealousy or attention and Mille as well not good to set him up like that. He wouldn’t even know why she’s jealous, “angry” which would be his perception. So it would be best to wean her easy by cutting back the amount of bottle after that the stay at one until she gets bored of it. Make it boring no interaction with staff while drinking her milk and lots of attention and affection when she isn’t drinking a bottle. Adine will know she’s done this a time or two and she has the vets to help guide her decisions when it concerns the orphans’ health. Both of them. It may be best to never feed the bottle together and if you have to stop that soon. That way the bottle isn’t associated with baby Phabeni.
It will be a sad day when our beautiful girl no longer gets her doll house bottles anymore. She's gotten so big that to me, they are minuscule now...😂😂, but good to know we have a few mire months to watch her drink. Hope we can see her and Phaebini drinking together. Thanks for the great video and information. 🐘🩷🐶
Adine and Herd know whats best and how khanyisa is. ❤thank you for the wonderful ways you nurture care and love the elephants. Khanyisa is not being held back at all. Shes extremely sensitive and is deeply touched by phabeni now being the little one, khanyisa understands and loves phabeni.
Adine you’re OUR human Matriarch. It’s an excellent decision you all made regarding giving our Baba and Phabeni their milk bottles together. Khanyisa will have a better understanding and camaraderie with Phabeni. She will not feel slighted or jealous that only he’s getting milk. I love how she hurried to get her milk bottles. Reminds me of a much younger Khanyisa. Ah! She will always reside in a huge portion of my heart. God bless you all there in South Africa! Have a blessed weekend.
I was actually wondering how it was going to work with weaning Khanysa while integrating Phabeni who obviously needs his bottles for some time to come. As usual, you guys have everything under control ❤🐘
This has picked my heart up a little bit after Phabeni’s loss. Khanyisa is so cheeky and wants her human mum, Adine. She really is a sweet little girl. I love watching how casually the elephants walk with their humans. 🐘❤️
Thank you Adine! Love hearing from you and knowing the status of Khanyisa! She certainly does look very healthy and beautiful! So much fondness for that little girl and you! Will I see you at Indaba? Not going to WAA this year.......hope to see you! Big hugs!
My first love of Khanyisa and all the elephants in herd. she is in my mind and give donation for Milk for Khanyisa . Now is Phabeni a little baby elephant also I donate milk for the Babys. How beautiful and loving are this Babys and all the Elephants
