When will Nemesis start TESTING?? - Alton Towers

Nemesis at Alton Towers is coming along extremely well, almost all of the track is complete including the vertical loop, final corkscrew and two stall turns, but what does the realistic timeline of the construction look like, when will we see the track complete.. and when will it start testing??
We have no actual idea but why not speculate on it all! That's what i do in this video here, enjoy!

Towers is really making an effort to get this fan favourite open as early as possible, also what makes this stand out is that their adding lots of lore to nemesis, so much that its sutible for a MatPat video. Thank you for the update!

So happy to see them really putting an emphasis on the theming. Nemesis has always had some deep backstory but the theming was minimal other than the monster and that weird gun drill cannon so the story was never really conveyed to the public.

I have a feeling that it'll either begin testing around Scarefest or like you said at the final day of the season at the fireworks. Really can't wait to get back on the Nemesis it's just the best in the world and I love it

I went to towers yesterday and had a blast. When I were heading to sub-terra, I had a glance at Nemesis and the new track actually looks better in real life! I'd say it's coming along very nicely. I'm really surprised they are managing to fit the track in so quick. Huge credit to those construction workers who work tirelessly to make sure it is all secure and looking great. Great video once again Dan! 🔥 EDIT: Congrats on 45k Dan, well deserved! Keep it up! 🎢🔥

Can't wait to see the finished Nemesis! This is going to be so much fun, even if I do have to wait until next year! Actually, I haven't been to Alton Towers this season, I better get a move on! Maybe firework night, that is always worth the trip!

I was at Alton towers a few weeks back and I was in the park about 9:00am ish. I was trying to get a coffee from the coffee shop next to nemesis and the site manager walked by and I got chatting to him about everything and he said they were expecting to have the track completed and ready for testing by the end of August, then the refurb work would start around the ride and the ride station,

Dan, I just love watching the best RU-vid videos there are on RU-vid! Can’t wait until you reach 50k! I really wish I could see you in real life at a theme park. It would be amazing! Me and my friend, Andrea were literally the FIRST people to notice the arrival of the new track!!! Trust me, there was nobody else around, except for ONE normal member of park staff, and 4 Phalanx Officials!!! It was a weird, but very exciting Wednesday evening!!! Literally, we were only in the area because we were on our way to Rollercoaster Restaurant! When we left RCR, the Phalanx were still there, and they kinda forced us out of Forbidden Valley, and swore us to secrecy!!! We kept that promise. A certain male RU-vid vlogger that used to work at Alton Towers ruined that a couple of days later!!! Now you know! #SeekTheTruth

Although Nemesis obviously previously had a ADIPS license, would the ride have to be recertified? I'd assume they are going to upgrade the control panel, the lift, the gearbox, the feeder wheels. Its had new track, new trains.... It's effectively a new ride and I am not sure at what point they would want the ride completely recertified as being safe. So could we see a pull through of a mockup train to ensure they have not installed the track too close to rock work?

Hello There, a great Video and it's good to hear about the fast progress of the "Nemesis" retrack Project at Alton Towers as well as your speculation and thoughts which seem quite realistic depending on delays. I don't think a soft opening will happen at the end of the 2023 season due to the Park wanting to completely relaunch it. Cheers Peter :)

I think maybe late September-mid October, if not mid-September. Or it could start testing by next Saturday, you never know.

I am just going to make a highly educated guess that we will get a lighting package on the station and in the pits which will also include mist machines in the pits. A new score which will be inspired from the original, we will get a new logo (possibly inspired the original)

Well the helix supports are on site, with the rest of the Zero G and the helix track on site, Tbh i think they are just going backwards, (I bet Nemesis is completed by scarefest so they can light it up for a Phalanx Scare zone)

Very unlikely that will be the case with this, yes track is flying in BUT they have only just took off all electrical cables from the lift hill so possibly new hardware and cables to go in place.

While it would be cool to see it testing at the end of the season, I feel like it would sort of weaken the excitement and surprise on the 30th anniversary. (Not to say they don't test till like January or sumthin like that, just wait till the park is mostly closed for the season.)

I think I am in the minority when I say…I do not like the new track. I Prefer the rustic version of the track which made it looked dirty and old as if it had been dug out of the ground.
