WHEN WILL NIANTIC FIX NEARBY POKÉMON TRACKING?! 

The things that bothers me the most is the lack of communication from them. Lack of communication is a killer of relationships, even relationships between video games and the fans of that said game. They just need to talk to us and say hey it will be fixed as soon as it can be or hey we removed this for this reason and are looking for an alternative. Anything honestly, just don't leave us in the dark on it

all we can find are pidgeys without the tracker

its a pain to even catch a level 45 pidgey burned through six balls

there is hardly pokestops in my city and I'm always running out and now they're making them harder to catch. I'm just going back to the real games

Being unable to track pokémon has cause both me and my friends to just sit by 3 Pokéstops with lures on them rather then hunt for them. We've also turned to just driving past the pokéstops while the passengers swipes the stops for balls rather hunting and visiting stops at the same time. So Niantic are failing on both accounts as far as i am concerned.

I would freak out if you could edit an eagle scream and the team instinct symbol everytime you capture a gym (like in the video where you captured the view of the observatory). great channel. i appreciate your work.

These changes have really discouraged me in playing the game. I live outside the city and the nearest pokestop is quite a distance. With the difficulty increasing to catch pokemon, I feel that they are pushing us to buy pokeballs than to visit pokestops. They pulling an EA move. I am sad.

Tip for curve balls: For Pokemons far away you need to throw the ball hard at around a 45 degree angle, BUT there is not enough screen space to get enough speed and the ball curves too much and over shoots. So turn on AR and manually move the Pokemon to where your curve balls are landing.

Niantic has to get it going again because when it gets colder outside the game will get worse and less people will go outside.. If they don't change some things before that the hype will be over as fast as is started.

The style of your videos is very creative. Its something new. Something that makes your videos look professional which is incorporating everything you talk about pokemon into a vlog which nice shots of everything. It is very creative and I like it

Curveballs change since the update right?? I have been having trouble throwing them and they where easier to throw before the update.

That curve ball update is trash, it takes me like 10 pokeballs just to get the Pokemon in the ball

Niantic is driving this game into a wall tbh.. Make all pokemon 3-steps away *for server/safety reasons* Disable the feature all together. Killing PokeVision & Co. Working on generation2 while generation1 does not work properly yet. You have to get closer to Pokemon before they spawn.. which you can't track btw, have i mentioned this? Pokemon run away more often (donno if its because im lvl 23 or because update. but it looked like update was the origin of this change) We had a good game with connection issues. Now we have a smooth game without ANY way to track pokemons.. (except personal servers maybe.. google that sheiz)

Why the hell did they take away battery saver mode? That's the biggest pain out of this patch. Now when jogging my phone dies

Pretty sure its not okay to remove tracking. In all the Pokemon games you had a Pokedex which told you the general location of where a pokemon spawned. Removing tracking all together just makes it impossible to locate rarer pokemon. For myself, even with Pokevision I wasn't able to find a NidoKing which appeared on my nearby list at the end of the day, its just stupid.

Trainer Tip: hold the curve ball to the left of the screen while spinning, then throw (swiping right). Works with most pokemon. Mons further back may require the straight ball. In some instances I've had the ball go completely off the screen then curve left back towads the pokemon.

Tysm 4 making this video! I felt like u personally read my exact comment yesterday & agree w/ u 110%. I feel like there is no reason to have the app open w/ no tracker. & if this is 4 safety, I still don't get it, aimlessly wandering is less safe then a set destination. & if it is 2 make it harder, there's plenty more Pokemon 2 add. I think it's all to increase sales on lures & such, only thing that makes sense. If u can only catch rates at lures, ull have to buy them.

+Trainer Tips, Hey btw for the curve balls you can pause just before throwing to help with getting more distance on your throws. It lets the spin slow down a little bit and it doesn't curve as much but it allows you to throw further when the pokemon is further away.

So I think our plan worked! Niantic released a statement that they are working on the tracking, will try and communicate better with us, and why they need to get rid of 3rd party sites to improve the games infrastructure. The arc of curveballs has changed drastically. I find that throwing the ball off screen usually results in landing my throws. No doubt you have to throw harder, I guess it's just matter of re-learning the "physics" of the throw.

I don't know about you guys but I walk for miles yet the eggs progress won't update (supose it's a 5 km, walk the 5 km and it only says like 3 or 4.1) like wtf....

If Niantic wants to remove the tracker altogether, I honestly dont care that much. But if they want us to travel from stop to stop, I think that there are two things they could do that would greatly improve the game. First, they should allow us to move the map and see more than what is right by us. I live in a rural area so there are only a few pokestops near me. Because of this, I pretty much have to guess where to walk. I've walked several miles without finding a single stop. In the previous pokemon games, we would have a map telling us where each city is so we knew where to find pokecenters and marts, the equivalent of stops. If we could simply move the map to find more stops, we could walk around town and and explore more enjoyably. Also, in previous pokemon games, wild pokemon didnt appear anywhere, but there were very distinct patches of grass where pokemon would be. I know in pokemon go there are the little spurts of leaves that show nearby pokemon but I feel that it doesnt work very well. There will be 10+ leaves in a 100 sq ft area and I'll walk through that area for 20 minutes and find one, maybe 2 pokemon. So I guess I'm just saying they should make the indication for random pokemon more accurate.

Like as a rural person who lives where there's only one area with a lot of pokestops, I don't have a car, I ride my bike to downtown and I walk about two or three hours a week to stalk up on pokeballs. I work the rest of the week and play at home leirsurely. I'm not "exploring" my world cause in my area there's nothing new to check out, I'm doing this specifically to catch more pokemon and play the game and this is the way I have fun with it. I use pokevision to see what's near me. If there's like something cool I'll walk 2 or 3 blocks from my house and back. I like the collecting aspect of it. I like to train my pidgey into a 1025 pidgeot, even if I never use it at a gym. Niantic really needs like a newletter or to use their twitter to actually post reasons for updates.

I'm kinda over this game now. Nearby is out and so is pokevision. Everybody online is cheating. Playing fair just doesn't seem like a viable option. I might just start playing from my computer. Niantic bring back pokevision or I'm out!

the tracking system removal has been a blessing for me. the nearby pokemon have been showing up 3-4 at a time in a cluster. also system stability has been much better

It's about money, again... You guys and a lot of other players don't "spend" money for poke balls, Incense etc. So they need to make it harder to catch (so you need to buy poke balls), make pokemon hard to find (so that you need to buy incense) etc etc. BTW, from what I know, does who have all pokemon already did your hacks.

I just checked on the Apple App store and Pokémon Go is down to 1 star. I don't even want to pay this game anymore, I loved the game the first 2 days it was out, other than the servers constantly crashing at least it was fun to track Pokemon

They're making capturing harder so we waste more pokeballs, eventually forcing us to buy pokeballs.

i don't think the radars where a cheat. I couldn't have found a Pokemon or two without it. i live in the suburb of pigney I work at the Beach in Fl i can get some water types but down the beach nothing 8 miles away the beach littered with Pokemon every type. but downtown or on the strip trash. and i live in a middle ground those poor bastards in the sticks god help them!!

why make the pokemon harder to catch? so you are more likely to run out of balls and spend money to get some more... even a stupid 100cp weedle busts out of like 10 pokeballs then runs away.. it's ridiculous.. and the larger Pokemon are so far away its legit hard to actually get the ball to reach that far. So frustrating and yeah, Niantic seems like a terrible company for such an important game. Barely any customer correspondence if any. changes to the game they don't actually include in the list of what has changed in the updates, nor do they tell us why. It's like they simply don't care. If they don't sort their shit out soon I can imagine it's gonna come back to bite them pretty soon.. It's not like they don't make enough money from this game to sort their shit out, but I think like a lot of companies out there, sadly, as long as they are getting paid they don't really care. also look into Niantics links with the CIA.. slightly alarming that we are giving them this much access to our phones and personal data.. Considering their terrible approach to being a gaming company, it can't help but make me wonder if they made this for the sole purpose of gaming at all

Even though the footprints are gone I still find it relatively easy to track Pokemon. You just choose one. Click on it in the nearby tab and walk until it finds its way to the top left of the list. Then when that happens I find it usually pops up if I just hang around that area and walk a little.

Totally agree here! Also, in order to hit the Pokémon with curve balls, I spin it in the bottom corner of the screen and let it go towards the opposite corner.

I find that starting from the far right hand side when throwing a clockwise curve ball and throwing almost directly left makes the ball curve back on itself and it usually hits, but it's really hard to get it to go far also the faster I spin the ball, the faster the throw curves adjusting the distance it travels.

the tracker didn't work for many people before anyways but in the part where is says nearest pokemon the pomekom closest to you will be on the left and thats how most of us have had to play anyways so there is still some form of distance that u can see

Well spoken! THIS IS the video that needs to be in all social media, news, etc. It definitely reverberates from what the fans have been saying so far. Somebody needs to video record the Niantic CEO point blank in public and see what his reaction is. Will he give solutions or cowardly run off!

Here's my top 6 problems in the game in order of how I think they should be prioritised: 1: Release the game worldwide. 2: Fix/Give an alternative to the tracker. 3: Rebalance the game to be playable for people who live in rural areas. 4: Make Eggs actually register the distance you've walked accurately (I ran 9.6KM today and my Eggs progressed only 1.6KM) 5: Increase the radius of Gyms because at the moment they require you to stand WAY too close. You can be leaning against the wall of the building that's meant to be a gym and still be "too far away." Surely their radius should at least be bigger than the radius of Pokestops? 6: Rebalance the items given by Pokestops. Personally I'm ALWAYS low on Pokeballs as at a higher level you need so many to catch anything and every Pokestop gives so many revivies, potions and super potions that I'm throwing away 100+ of each of them on a daily basis. Can anyone think of any more that should be on the list and whereabouts on it should they be?

I love Pokemon Go so much, but it's so frustrating now because a lot of stuff that actually pops up isn't even on my nearby list I wouldn't be so mad about Pokevision not being a thing anymore if they'd fixed the tracking system or if they'd just let us know what's going on. It's not fair to change things so drastically without letting us know why, especially if those things were such an important and big part of it in the beginning.

Hey Nick! The first legendary has been found! A girl from Ohio emailed Niantic on release, and hasn't gotten an email since, and yesterday got an email back, and as an apology for the later reply, they gifted her Articuno! I think it wasn't the best move but hey, at least they're actually talking

If you want to hit your curveball more frequently do as the following: Drag the ball in the left corner of your screen and then throw it.. not from the point of where your pokeball starts. Secondly... if it is a pokemon that is farther away in your screen (cuz not all of them are as u might have noticed yourself already) then move the ball up a little from the left of ur screen. I hope this is a clear and simple explenation of how to get the hit rate up with our curveballs ;)

I was using Pokevision not to go find the exact location that a Pokemon has spawned but to find the general area a specific Pokemon spawns in. I live in an area where I need to drive 20 minutes to get to a place with lots of Pokestops to be worth walking around and playing, and close by home and work is nothing but the very occasional Pidgey or Weedle. It was great to have Pokevision as a way to plan my hunting trips so I'm not wasting time wandering around aimlessly. If I know Charmanders spawn near the zoo and hour's drive away for example, I can plan a daytrip out there and spend some time actively playing.
