As a white person, you can relate to what is happening because a. Racism is more likely going to occur amongst white people (e.g French guy vs british guy, Croatian guy vs Serbian guy, Ukrainian guy vs Russia guy, etc) and b. @@Appleman1 Considering there has been studies done to suggest cops, especially white cops are far less likely to shoot or use force against a black suspect compared to other suspects (from fear of being called racist and having the whole country burned down). In fact, the race that is most likely to be shot by police depends on the race of the police officers, black officers are more likely to shoot black suspects, white on white, hispanic on hispanic and so on. But you don't hear about black on white or white on white or any race from corporate media because they want us to divide ourselves. Guarantee you, and no one in this comment section has heard of Tony Timpa when the case is just like, probably worse then another case you definitely have heard about. This is a good message about racism like why should you hate a man/woman/trans that is not white like their just a person we are created equal the one thing that differs is the color of their skin for Me as an Asian i don't understand why do racism exist we are all the same we are humans i understand that some people don't like other people with a different skin color But why tho? Why would you hate someone Who got a different skin color than you all i want to say is end racism.
@domocracydestroyer8219
@domocracydestroyer8219 2 года назад
Racism is why more complicated than simply a white guy not liking someone for being black, red, brown or yellow. Anybody can be racist, if anything racism is more likely to occur amongst white People than it is white vs black and so on. Hell with it, most wars white people have fought have been against OTHER white people and white people have been stealing land mostly from other white People until recently. However, this does not mean YOU yellow people are innocent, YOU yellow people, have invaded and conquered parts of Europe several times and have treated the native white populations as complete garbage by enslaving, killing and torturing them. Despite this, like white people, yellow people are more likely to be racist against other yellow people. This is evident with events such as Japan’s Unit 731, The rape of Nanking, the genocide in East Timor, the mongols enslaving Chinese people, etc. Hell with it, black people are just as guilty for being racist like white people, many people in the US talk about how bad slavery is but did YOU know that it was black people who sold other black people (there own people) into slavery during the trans Atlantic trade slave. Hell with it, prior to that black people had been enslaving other black people for a LONG time, even the arabs were enslaving black people. And just like white people, black people are just as capable as inflicting horrendous pain amongst themselves and others. This was evident with the recent genocide in Rwanda in the 90s and several Congolese people are considered to be sub-human. Anybody is capable of experiencing racism regardless of their skin colour, ethnicity, nationality, etc. Racism will unfortunately never die out, however, there are just some places in the world that are more tolerant to different races than other places.

I live in the Caribbean, we were never taught what the word minority meant, till adulthood we never even knew the word existed, the population here is mostly blacks and indians, although it's very diverse, racism exists in the police force but so does a struggle for power, to feel superior, they want to know that when they wear that badge they are not law enforcement but they're above the law, one time I sat outside my apartment building talking on the phone because I barely had privacy inside my apartment and a police car with two officers pulled up and they started asking me why I was here and what I was doing etc etc, I of course complied and answered everything, then they wanted me to leave and I said I will right after I finish my call but they kept insisting so I got annoyed and then one of them suddenly asked If it was a weapon sticking out through my t-shirt, I quickly lifted my jersey up to show there's nothing, they sat their silent thinking of another way to make me leave because I'm a black man sitting outside wearing a hoodie so of course I'm a threat, when I finally got tired of them staring at me I got up and said "have a nice night" then went inside, it's sad that as black people we are easy targets for police!!

One thing which disappointed me when watching this movie was that Starr was played by a mixed actress. I love Amandla Stenberg but it feels like by putting an actress who isn't fully Black it defeats the purpose of the film and takes away the voice of an important leading female Black character in a story of racism, even a VERY important Black character. Hollywood has a trend of never using fully Black main characters, even replacing prominent and defining Black heroes with one who is half-white or light-skinned. Why are movies so afraid of casting fully Black main characters? It may be because of the eurocentric features present on a mixed person which renders them more conventionally attractive. Directors and producers call themselves "diverse" but the Black character is never fully Black. It's disappointing to see such an important voice on racism and Black oppression acted out by someone who is half-Black, while those acting out her family are fully Black. It goes to show the main character just can NEVER be Black, even for a movie such as THUG.

I just realized that every movie that is related to this kind of titles, the main character is the same actress. Wow. She’s really famous. From watching ‘Where Hands Touch’, ‘Everything, Everything’ to being here.

This movie was pretty intense and insane when I once first saw it, in High school, but at least it went well to the end.

Why is it a videos like this never list the title of the movie... The Movie Call THE HATE U GIVE. I love this Movie, The romance , courage and truth in America. it gives. It explains what black Americans have to go through every day. The concept of the Movie is about standing up for what right, Black people, Asian People, Hispanic people, Poor people, everyone who's been put at the bottom.

I saw the riots in 2015 in Baltimore matter of fact it was right outside my house and I remember my parents literally staying downstairs with every knife in the house guarding the house I was terrified but I kept my calm so my little brothers who were 9 at this point would not be scared

To be colored is to be of the color, Black ONLY? This movie has good spirited content but over-exaggerating like as if this was in times of slavery! Shame on the film makers for not just making a fundamentally divisive film but enjoying the cash they made. None of the money was used for charity which is pathetic attribute of the filmmakers that ppl forget to look into. There are Asians, Indians, Filipinos etc. in US! It’s a sham of a film that had the wonderful opportunity to portray the real discrimination and social view of the blacks in general as drug peddlers, robbers, murderers etc. instead of making a realistic portrait, they drew a cartoon of a storyline!

@@MisanthropeAwaitingBliss the movie laid out the very real realities that the black community faces. Some of the depictions were exaggerated yeah but it’s a movie. If you watched it fr then you would know that the main characters friend were a representation of how white america views the black community. There are communities in the US that do get terrorized by the police and gangs at the same time. And we’ve seen in real life that sometimes police officers kill unarmed black people bc of a mistake and they’ve been let off.

Or your folks can go and make your own films on what your community suffers instead of attaching to black films (detailing the struggles of black ppl) like a parasite, "black only " well duh since the film is for and created by the black community, what next yall want them to add in Japan's colonization of korea and the Philippines into transatlantic slave trade documentaries and civil rights era movies
