@@YourSakuraDream you can google 227 controversy that broke out. But even without that , the situation with the popularity of untamed became VERY over bearing for them to be seen together in public. Major fandom wars, so many incidents happened , and it was just overall very toxic for the actors .

It’s the overwhelming response that the untamed got and how the scene unfolded around 2020 that makes the situation like this. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are #1 and #2 respectively across so many lists right now in China. So many eyes on them. They’re keeping apart to not fuel any further conflicts or have a repeat of 227 happening.
It's kinda heartbreaking that their lives are so public it affected their friendship. They seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company as people. I hope they get to have all the healthy friendships and relationships they want, bless them both
