This movie made me feel like wtf with the couples, but rewatching this 10 years later, this is one of the cutest movies ever and the way they showed and played out “looks can be deceiving” was the best
The movie is Strange Magic, made by George Lucas and inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream. The blonde girl is Princess Dawn, younger of the 2 faerie princesses (her sister Marianne is the MC). The Bog King is the king of thevdark faeries. He's actually trying to find a cure for the love potion she got hit with because he believes love potions are unethical (they are).
This movie was so good, bro was never a villain at heart. And I love that the love potion actually made her fall in love with him, instead of the trope that they’ll just mindlessly chase after the first person they see.(that is technically how it worked, but I mean the fact that she respected his requests)
Actually, iirc, the love potion worked like that. The chasing after the first person you see. At least on this girl. I can never remember names, but I remember the plot; They happened to cover her up before she seen anyone, so the first person she seen was the Bog King. Now, it didn't work on the punk sister because she was already in love (with the bog king), which the fairy lady had explained, or tried to explain.
@@lenapoolaw211 That’s what I’m saying, it does make you follow love and chase after the first person you see, but here, it didn’t seem like it was just blind infatuation with no regard for anything else, she actually respected whatever wishes he had.
Unfortunatly not in todays World, its Seen as being weak by far to many' and the Fools beleive you to be taken Advantage of easliy,, big big Mistake, but Fools wont ever learn this lesson until you teach them
this was actually a PERFECT CINEMA movie, loved every second of their scenes... (eventually, you can actually change those that kinda dont want to change...)
I started writing a song about this but how I thought it was in my head and my fault but before I finished writing it I found out it wasn't in my head and i was eerily close 😅
I have trust issues but not for some of my family members But i do take kindess and bless them back but when money is involved its a completely different story ill never trust my money to anyone because my best friend robbed me in 7th grade And i only trust my money to Father mother grandma 2 of my uncles sister Not grandpa because hes always a dog in heat and a fuckboy(maybe hes the reason why my libido is so high and my fathers too)
EDIT: To save answering all of the comments one at a time, the movie is Strange Magic. I loved this movie. Falling in love with someone for who they are and not what they look like.
@amirshahryari5211 Hi, this is kind of random, but oh well. Jesus is God, and he paid for our sins on the cross so we don't have to. Please turn to him to be saved. God bless .❤
They don't stay together. She's been hit with a love potion. She actually has a true love who's shy & awkward. Bog gets with her older sister, who's also sweet but less perky.
@@LAKnightAuthor But if the story wasn't that of 'she only love him because of the love potion', I would much prefer this ship than the main one tho😅
@meTsuBojiNraint that would be adorable if she were older and there was no love potion definitely (she's like 14 or 15 and he's like the fae equivalent of 30)
She got hit by a love potion and he isn't evil just hates love potions and wants to make sure they aren't made anymore. Which is good because they make you unable to consent.
I love the bog king! Loved the angle the movie took with the heroine and villain falling in love. Would've been a stronger movie without the jukebox music. XD
It always reminds me of my past relationship. I wasn't necessarily as hard or jaded but I was a bit distrusting and cynical - she was the complete opposite. I completely appreciated every moment I spent with her until she had to go away. I won't say that I'm entirely as optimistic or sincere as she is but I'm definitely a far cry from who I was before and it's all thanks to her. Wherever she is, I wish her well.
@@TheMightyCrucibleKnight184 I hope so too 😊 we'll have so many stories to talk about - thank you for putting a smile on my face. It's the biggest one I've had all year
OML I love this movie, literally no one’s heard of it anytime I bring it up! So glad to see it somewhere on RU-vid :) it’s a really good springtime fairytale romance
That's what guys really want. They are forced to see and deal with hatred and anger and mistrust constantly, but are always caught off guard whenever they receive kindness.
Sometimes it surprises me how movies from the 2010’s have great graphics and makes me think it was made in 2020’s Edit: forgive me for calling it old, it’s just whenever a move it’s made almost a decade ago I think of it as old
I love when he moves his body and his wings express along with the rest of him. I like characters that whole-body emote like that, like Starscream in TFP
Things you either don't know or are neglecting She was hit with a love potion and he was the first thing she saw He had tried to prevent said love potion from ever being created and upon finding out one was managed to be made tried to acquire it to destroy it He is now also trying to find the cure of said potion and cure everyone who fell victim too it
Kindness makes the worst people shudder. There’s regular kindness, but then there’s Saturated kindness. Saturated kindness is wonderful and should be practiced more often 🥰
I love how he almost is hurt knowing that any affection he is getting is because of a potion here. Gives hints that he is only bad in his image that he puts up. And shows a bit why he hates the potion
I literally went to watch the ENTIRE MOVIE after I saw this short and good lord... It looks INCREDIBLE but you just have to get through it coz the WHOLE MOVIE is a hell of a musical with modern songs, some originals on the mix but like, not a minute goes without singing. I must say tho, the ending was really cute!! Heavy Beauty and the Beast inspo here
Sadly doesn't apply here as she's under the effects of a love potion (no he didn't use it, he even took steps to prevent that potion from ever being made, upon failing tries to find the cure)
This is too cute and heartwarming, how could i just find this film?😭Thank you so much for the recommendation, i'm not into fairy-themed cartoons or films, and the last film about it that i watched was Tinkerbell Series, this one really gives the same vibes🥰 I hope your channel is growing to reach more people's attention, you really deserve more subscribers, likes and appreciation Please dont be tired of giving us more recommended films to watch🙏🏽
