Little fact about stankoven he used to go to my school in Kamloops and I used to play road hockey with him during lunch hours and let me tell you when you were in net it was like a piss missile when he shot. Glad to see him in the NHL!!!

I used to play street hockey with a decent n OHL player (2013 draft class), and one time I robbed him on a breakaway everyone went nuts. I can only imagine Stankoven's shot is something else.

He keeps getting recalled cause it adds salary to the LTIR total they can spend at the TDL. Any moves with him from now on are strictly salary related, Nill apparently told him on his last time being sent down to grab his car and personal belongings he wasn’t in Dallas, as he isn’t going back to Austin

As a Stars fan, I've had a close eye on Stankoven for a while. He has not disappointed at the NHL level, looks like the real deal. As deep as the Stars are we still have so many prospects knocking on the door. First Wyatt Johnston, then Stankoven and look out for Maverik Bourque next.

He’s moved a lot between Dallas and Austin but it’s only on paper. Dallas, like you’ve said, are juggling cap space. It sucks but that’s the NHL now

How much hockey has changed: about 15 years ago the Islander brought in a guy named Mitch Fritz who was, basically, an early version of Rempe. Same size, same purpose. Nowadays, since such players are so rare, Rempe becomes a cult hero while Fritz is only a guy on old fight videos.

He isn't being sent down by Dallas. They're just doing paper transactions to comply with the Cap. Dallas already moved all of his stuff from Austin to Dallas. He's gonna be in the NHL permanently.

okay he got called up due to an injury to Seguin. He's proved he can play, ,ney! dominate!! at the NHL level. He isnt getting the points on the goals by Benn and Johnston but he's having huge impact on the overall play thats leading to goals for. Benn has 9 goals in 8 games? Stanky lifts a stick and the puck goes to johnston who passes to Benn for a goal.... but Stankoven never actually touched the puck so no assist..... The kid is going to the Hall, mark my words.

He’s not on waivers he’s been an ahl callup that is almost certainly not going to leave the lineup but they do these paper transactions to play around with cap space.
