We asked ourselves: What happens when we take hundreds of people from all walks of life from across the globe and unite their voices as one? Not only to amplify their own voices, but to raise the voices of those who are often unheard?
Despite the current difficult and uncertain circumstances, 150+ individuals from over 25 cities came together, though physically apart, not to ask for a miracle, but to be the miracle our world needs: a reminder that “though hope is frail,” we should not let go of it.
Through this project it has become abundantly clear that when we choose to show up for each other, in “harmony” instead of opposition, we are able to produce one voice echoing the beat of our hearts yearning for love and a brighter tomorrow: the sound of hope.
In the spirit of raising the voices of those who are often unheard and vulnerable, through Project Choir-arantine nearly $2000 was donated to Food Banks Canada so communities in need can have affordable access to food during this difficult time, as well as $1000 to BC Women’s Foundation COVID-19 relief fund to support the BC Women’s Hospital healthcare teams, women and their communities with resources and support they need.
