When you don't play with your team in Overwatch 2 (Spectating Gold) 

Team just seems like playing on 5 different speeds erratically and the enemy team is feasting from multiple 2 v 5s, 1 v 1s, and early picks (that hanzo and dva were eating)

Only reason why they almost won was because this guy was FORCED to play together because of the Overtime... I'm willing to bet anything that this Moira had INSANE healing and damage, despite being of no use for the team in the slightest.

I mean no disrespect to people that main Moira. But I notice a lot of Moira mains have this severe problem called “scoreboard syndrome” where their derive their in game value off of the scoreboard. Don’t do that, if this were CoD, maybe even Val, do that. Overwatch and Scoreboard don’t go hand in hand, trust me.

He keeps turning to heal the tracer... right when the doom dives in - he turns back just enough to see doom die. - It looks like the Moira keeps saving fade for escape but is playing with mobile team members so cant keep up - use that fade to keep close but dont enter enemy space with it.

Genuine question Emongg! Would you ever want to do a team review Vod??? I play with a 3-5 stack majority of comp games and most of us watch your content! We’re all working on getting better and would love advice to improve and hopefully hit high diamond this season. I was just curious

Naw this Doom is literally NOT having fun. We all know that walking back from spawn to the fight is NOT fun. Him refusing to switch while OBVIOUSLY not having fun is the worst thing about OW. He’s genuinely not caring about anyone else but himself and this is a team game. That’s why this game is awful

 I’m the Kiri/Moira in this vid and I really want to thank Emongg for watching my VOD! 
I know that I have a LOT to work on to get better in the game. I need to stop playing so defensively, I need to trust my team more, and understand other player’s playstyle better (also, my mechanics, oh boy). I also want to offer some context, though, for why I was playing the way I did, and why I wrote that I wasn’t the problem in this game. Throughout the entire game, the Doomfist and Hanzo were going at in VC, saying possibly some of the most horrible things I have ever heard in my life. When it got too awful (slurs got involved), I went in VC as well to put my foot down and say enough is enough, just play the game. However, when you are a woman playing and you go into VC, there is automatically a target on your back. The moment they heard that there was a woman among them, they did not hesitate, especially the DPS. How dare I play a video game? In my anger, I made a mistake - I engaged. I told him that currently, a woman was doing better at the game than him. In my haste to defend not only myself, but also our Lucio, my playstyle started reflecting how I felt - alone. I was trying to handle DPSing, healing, pushing all by myself. Meanwhile, I was still hearing the vilest of words in my ear, leaving me with little faith in my team - expect the Lucio, I loved that guy. It’s not an excuse. I should have done better, have been better. But I’m only human and hearing what I heard for about 13 minutes, it would get to anyone. 
So, I’ll take this game as a lesson. As soon as the slurs come out, that’s an immediate mute, no matter how much I want to tell this person off, to stand up to them. But please, let this game also be a message for the entire OW community - when someone attacks someone else simply for existing, for simply being a woman, please show your support. This isn’t the first time that I personally have faced stuff like this and many other women will tell you the same thing. So much that many of us don’t even want to talk, knowing that it will just cause trouble. Please, look out for us - it means more than you think

I use to do this alot, but they are playing scared. Every time they would get pressured, their instinct was to run away from the fight instead of towards their teammates. It was really evident on their Moira, as the fade was constantly used to go back toward spawn even when the team fight was still happening.

This entire match is what the hell are any of you doing, it's not just your team it's you too lmao

The hanzo was rolling their entire team, I've been noticing the same in my lobbies too, looks like a lot of the higher rank hanzos have started to terrorise the lower rank lobbies, or the projectile changes have made all hanzo players into gods

This game is certainly moiras fault 😂 as soon as they take a tick of damage they fade into a different map

Like i get that there's people who just like playing the "macro" game more but imma be real. I don't really care about how bad this gold kiriko's aim is but the specific way in which it was bad looked a lot like getting overwhelmed by trying to heal and deal damage in quick succession and not being able to switch between the two modes of aim. Either that or just not paying enough attention to the damage. After watching more of the gameplay it really seems like this person doesn't pay a lot of attention to their damage output and doesn't look a lot for opportunities to deal damage. Paying more attention to the damage they are doing and practicing this switching or simultaneous attention to protection and aggression would be my first suggestion for making that hyper defensive playstyle more flexible.

The funniest thing for me is that doom constantly diving into and focusing the dva but the hanzo was uncontested everytime. Uses full rotation into dva and is always stuck in the open, doesn't even get a kill for his efforts. Yeah I don't think diving with this doom is the play my man. Lmao

They're playing to survive alone rather than to help the team win...

I know console isn’t as popular, but I wouldn't mind having more Gold or Plat console lobby reviews (for context I play on console, so it doesn’t feel like certain things on PC translate to console the same).

As a woman who mains support in ranked on overwatch I feel like my teammates are only ever rude/sexist to me when I do poorly or lack mechanical skills in the respective rank. As I've gotten better my teammates have also gotten nicer and I've even reached level 5 honor only ever playing support and openly communicating with my team in VC. While i won't excuse the harassment the team gave towards this person I do see a lot of mechanical faults in their gameplay and can understand the frustration from their teammates. Scoreboard syndrome for support overwatch players is a real thing and i feel like it especially affects moira/mercy players (no disrespect) who think that they are being more useful to their team than they actually are simply because of stats.

Ok! I know you are a higher rank player, but when you said that he or she has been all over the place and nothing is really happening. The entire composition they had at the start were heroes that are played by people in bronze/silver even in gold, with the sole purpose of doing their own thing, usually with the mentality of; “I’m going to carry this team”. Instead of grouping up or at least be around each other. I have such a hard time with matches like this one. Yet I know I’m not a bad healer. It is basically all I have done since I started playing mmo’s. I usually start my matches asking who is on VC or asking people to get on VC. Doesn’t happen! Had the entire team been more organized, I don’t believe the healer would’ve not realized at any point during the game, that he or she was part of the problem. Also; I would continue to argue that, Widow and Doom should never be played by bronze or silver players.

Imo, team should play around their tank's space. Go in when they go in. Fall back when they fall back. Ride or die. Might as well, if tank dies you're losing the fight anyway😂

The biggest problem I've seen is the Moira gets shot once and they fade all the way back. At some point you have to trust your team will protect you. Or instead of falling all the way back play cover near your team heal up and get back in there

This dude played like a silver Moira. He wasnt paying attention to his teammates critical conditions, barely healed the Doom, and was more damaging than healing. He WAS the problem.

tbh I am not gonna blame my teammates no matter how shit they play when i am missing 99% of my kunais, I am just as shit as they are

This is just every moira on my game and then they are like switch off doom its not working

What I like to do is sit back and just look at my team for a minute. Look how they are using their cd's to deal with enemy cd's. Observe their successes and failures to get a feel for their skill level. It shouldn't take long to figure out who the mvp of both teams are. Then its a matter of shutting down the enemy mvp, as well as facilitating your own team's mvp. You'll see the tremendous value is executing this very simple strategy.

nothing makes me more annoyed than a lower rank moira. not cause they’re lower rank but because of the fact that there is the idea that “moira takes no skill” that floats around despite there being a VERY CLEAR level of skill expression when you compare lower ranked moiras to high ranking ones. (same kind of idea with mercy, although in different ways)

I’m a Moria main and this is one of the worst Moria’s I’ve ever scene. They are barely tossing orbs!! How do you not toss an orb before you engage!?!? If you’re going to dps, toss a healing orb for your teammates!

Ahhh the typical no one is doing well or playing good but they all "think" they are good enough to blame someone else for the loss. Losses happen, sometimes they are no ones fault but a team effort. Even when someone is hurting the team, adapting and playing with it can mitigate the weak links and make the stronger links even better. My only piece of advise for this player is understand what your team is doing. Everything for the first 11+ minutes was so reactionary. I will heal my 5 health teammate, disengaged and being chased whos probably already dead vs that person is about to engage, heal orb is already out to keep their health up as they are taking damage enabling them to stay agro longer and enabling you to dps to secure low hp targets.

There's too many supports these days who are more concerned about their K/D than they are keeping the team alive

That's my problem with Kiriko in S9 though... Unless your teammates are using cover and your other healer has good burst heal, she pretty much turns into a heal-bot :(

Is it only me who finds it annoying that during the whole review the sender keeps crying in chat about toxic VC? Turn it off, you play in gold not T500, if they are calling you names take 5 secs to turn it off and focus on your game. Failing to do that doesn't give you a free pass when you play this bad, half the time you heal the air after someone died... As a wise man would say: you have the reaction time of an acorn.

This person is really bad at aiming their heals. This is a tough game, though. Feels like it fell apart because no one grouped up and everyone was playing too fast.

Honestly, the player backs up too much. As a Moira, I would target hanzo if I know I can. Otherwise, go for the support. Bad fades also led to wasted engagements. Could've been dueling with doomfist and not worry about being left out since I know I have low cooldown. Orbs are also being wasted. Lots of opportunity to bounce or walk with it to heal while dueling. Instead, it's being thrown straight with it being used only about 15% of the duration I'd say

Feel like your lying by not telling them there playing bad. With kirko they got pure tunnel vision, ignoring the tank who's dying just to dps. Positioning is was pretty bad aswell, they need to work on. There awareness and learning how to heal before they start trying to dps. Now with moria it's the opposite. How they was playing kirko is how they should've played moria. Stop running away after you take 1 damage, save your fade for when you need it. If you see a hanzo on his own and no diva throw that damage or then fade and secure the kill, there's no need to be running. Plus you keep healing the enemy team at times which just shows that you're not really paying attention to whats happening. Learn the basics again, master them then mylu can start learning the advance stuff. Also please play with your team more, you are nowhere near the and lucio heals aren't gonna cut it unless there dps is really good.

I remember a game some asshat tried to tell me my Moira positioning was terrible. I feel vindicated knowing I wasn’t wrong, emongg saying stay with the core, heh. Also, as a Moira player, his orb usage could use some work. Fade too…

This is looks like too much dps and you dont seem to know moiras healing range and you are just wasting go into practice range with a friend and have them spray and watch its actually much shorter than a lot of people realize and like video said you arent pushing with your team you seem like all you are doing is trying to stay alive instead of actually supporting the team

I don't understand the matchmaking and ranking system in this game. I can confidently say I play 150x better than this kiriko but I'm also in gold??? It might honestly just be a teammate difference but who knows.

Typical low elo Moira gameplay. This character carries players who are bad and her kit promotes bad habits and gameplay imo. This Moira fades away from her team instantly after taking like 1 hp of damage lol. At least with life weaver and mercy you need good game sense and positioning in order to properly heal.

All I’ve seen lately is enemy Moria in my back line forcing me to swap brig and hit her with my purse. Easy clap get gud.

this persons just allergic to healing their team unless its overtime, like how they played on overtime should have been their playstyle all game. who did they think was gonna heal their team? lucio???

No offense to the player themselves, but I forgot how boring moria gameplay is. It's not engaging at all to play, never mind to watch. It's the same way with lw although I'd say it's worse with him.

If you like to battle more than healing. You should be playing with illari so you can put the damn pylon down and heal some people, then you can fight. If that's how you roll

I feel like I looking at 5 people who have either been told, or at least heard, the ever common "the only constant in your games is you, just ignore your team and focus on your own gameplay." As well meaning as that may be, and as much as it may work for people who understand to play as a team in a team-based game, it only causes the opposite effect and causes people to throw games all the time in the metal ranks. They hear that, hear "ignore your teammates and focus on yourself" and that's how you get doomfists or lucios just inting in 1v5, focusing on their gameplay and ignoring their teams entirely. Thank you emong for not saying that, and actually advising people to play as a team!

She saw her teammates rushing in erratically and dying and was trying not to do that, but the issue is that trying not to do something isn’t a strategy, so she ended up contributing basically nothing other than sitting back and healing after the fact when it wasn’t as important

I get team mates like this and i dont even bother to win tbh i just swap heroes i dont use and practice the hero in comp if we win ok great but sometimes there are just unwinnable games 💁‍♀️
