In Turkey we also ask for the bill this way, like holding a pen and writing s/t. Although for almost a decade the majority of bills are machine printed, the hand gesture still persists. 😅

@@lightstrider001 its malayalam . Each district in Kerala has an accent and lingo that is particular. So not all Malayalees will have the same accent or use the same words when speaking.

In Malaysia, just point finger down (pointing to the food you ate..) and make movement like stirring curry.. everybody will understand that movement is for 'kira' (count) the bills..
