Even with 10 years xp, salaries like that do not exist for software engineers in Europe... _and_ taxes are way higher, I wish I was married to an American... But then again, at least my elderly parents receive a state pension and don't have to pay a penny for their healthcare or social care, so my inheritance is being preserved.

Great vid! I just got my first apprenticeship in software engineering (I'm about to finish sixth form (the UK equivalent of the final 2 years of high school in the US, and will start this September) and have wanted to work in tech for years, so although I have A-level exams (although my offer is unconditional so I'm just doing them for the sake of it) I set aside a bit of time to relax and it feels good to finally be seeing these types of vids from the other side of the job / apprenticeship hunt! 😀 (although, being an apprentice my TC isn't yet going to be in the six figures lol)
