I know someone with perfect pitch, she sings baritone in the barbershop quartet I’m in and she always gives us our starting notes. I also fear her because she can probably hear every note I sing even slightly wrong.
I’m absolute pitch and I live in a family full of time dead people - they love 80s ballads but when they sing it drives me nuts because everyone is singing not only the wrong notes, but different keys from each-other. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me

It's D11, but without F# (which is usually neglected when playing D11 anyways), so it's great for establishing G major as the key. It has the directional properties of D7, but without the dissonance, since we're removing the tritone (F# -> C) and the minor 9th (F# -> G). I've used it a bunch, so i know what it sounds like, at least in the context of G major.

my favorite memory about perfect pitch was I had a roommate with it and he would say any random things note, but on night at like 11 we both heard something that sounded like a person falling down and just dying, and I'm like what the hell was that, and he just quietly from the other side of the room is just like, "an E flat"
I love the progression of his videos. They start out innocent and lighthearted and then get darker and scarier. Someone always ends up either dying, exploding, or having a serious existential crisis, but no matter how dark it gets, it’s still funny. His humor is ✨elite✨

I had perfect pitch growing up but after a psychiatric crisis in early adulthood they put me on tons of meds and I lost my pitch perception. 😭 (Actually it shifted a half note down so my brain still thought it knew the notes but it was always wrong and I had to adjust. 🙃 super confusing) After some interesting synchronicities in the last couple days my perfect pitch came back! (Not as sophisticated as hoody guy but I’ll take anything). I’m celebrating by rewatching this video! 🙌 Continuing to attune my listening. Telepathy next. 🙏🤞
