I wouldve stayed too. Not only is that exp i lose if i just scoop, but if my opponent wants to be that petty to make it so i cant play, ill sit there and be just as petty, making them sit through the whole damn thing too lol Edit: the guy just scooping at the end was weak sauce, though
Everyone is talking about the players duelling for 68 turns but nobody is saying anything about poor pharaoh sitting through a 68 turn replay to edit it 😂
"Why rhongo no detach?" Sales Ban, normal spell: "Declare 1 card name; for the rest of this turn, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original name as that declared card. *The same restrictions apply to you, but for the rest of this Duel instead of just this turn.* You can only activate 1 "Sales Ban" per turn."
And since the other abilities are PASSIVE, it can’t be destroyed by battle, affected by card effects, nor can the opponent normal or special summon a monster. Is that correct?
Dude… The opponent didn’t plan ahead of time for a fail safe for when this happens. He had game on turn two and it took him 68 turns to notice that he was going to get stalled out.
It's a bricky deck and isn't too op. There are outs to Rhongo Sales Ban, but not many people play said outs. I can understand you disliking it, but I personally hate Branded Tear more. So this outcome is very nice to me.
That rongo player isnt sad hes smart. Did you see how much effect damage he was taking at the start? Just put up a blocker and let the opponent deck out if they got less cards in deck than you. Its a longer win but he played around that deck perfectly and punished the opponents strategy. Thats 100% what I would have done in that situation.
@@shanbail7435 agreed. Branded Tear is like casually flipping off your opponent and daring them to do something about it. Rhongo Sales Ban is just a casual "NO".
"I need a hero I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fight I need a hero I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light He's gotta be sure, and it's gotta be soon And he's gotta be larger than life Larger than life" One of the rare instance where rhongo lives up to his heroic champion name. Fighting off those toxic tax collectors 😇
It can. Imagine if you have amano iwato on the field and use sales ban. If a monster isn't a spirit monster, your opponent will have no access to monster effects.
@ChrisTian-sd5yq Rhongo’s detach effect is an Activated effect, so Sales Ban will make it so that Rhongo won’t have to Detach. Rhongo’s other effects are continuous effects, so they don’t apply to Sales Ban. This is how Rhongo can stay on the field while being a threat to the opponent.
I don't know whether or not I should still hate rhongo after this, lmao! It still deserves to be banned, but that end board for branded Tears was toxic as hell, lmao! It deserved to deck out
Yeah was toxic, but at the end of turn one he doesn't have any negate that board can be easily destroyed, even by battle Masquerade has only 2k defence, but no the Rongo player choose to be more toxic stalling
Rhango is toxic af. At least he could have outed 3 masq. Take it from someone who plays 3 masq and put 3 on the bored at once often. They get outed so easily.
I had a similar thing happened to me but with Sphere mode. I was playing Dogmatika and in turn 1 I began to shred the extra deck with Matrix, Maximus, and Abla Zoa. Then the blasted Numeron player dropped Sphere mode on me. I sort of ended up shooting myself in the foot as the only cards in my deck that don't target are Fleurdelis and technically Evenly Matched but at that point the dude's Extra Deck was shredded. Fleurdelis needs an extra deck monster on field to special summon and negate (nontargeting) a monster effect for rest of turn. The opponent couldn't summon anything from extra deck even if he wanted to. He wouldn't summon anything and just left Sphere mode on his field. I emptied out his entire extra deck before I decked out.
Remind me of a duel which I made my opp (playing Kaiju) suffer for 107 turns (as Counter Fairy) xD "You want a quick win? I have a whole hour ahead sitting here with you"
I once did the same thing to an opponent and trolled them with a battle phase a defense position. They surrendered when they entered in the single digits of their deck.
I love how this one card is just standing there standing defiantly against a swarm of giant boss monsters like that scene in End Game without a care in the world
I seriously don't know who's sweatier/worse here, the rhongo player that went for deckout or the branded/burn player that let this go till the last card before scooping.
Its not sweaty to try and play yugioh and out the Rhongo, think cards shouldn't be that omni-protective, stops the game tbh. If this is ok, bring back Dragoon
@@mrplimbles7803 that's kinda of a bad take on what happened in the duel, the burn player waited not in any hope of drawing an out to Rhongo (as he drew his entire deck and didn't do a thing) but more in some demented hope the opponent would still activate more cards and lose, or get tired of his bullsh*t and leave, sweaty indeed.
You know what Lesson learned? He thought he could use the tax combo underestimating that the guy had the one card that saved him from Magic, trap, and effects, and as long as he was not going to follow up the instruction manual to get hit by his life points, he decided to do the waiting game and made him. waste his entire deck. Most would quit, but it ended up being reversed.
alr every1 is talking about how op rhongo is but we gotta talk about how they got 3 masquerades easily and with protection rhongo almost lost can you imagine
Doesn't it can be hit by a Kaiju monster or Imp trap or monsters that get spsuted by the feald monsters of yours and gain those monsters attack and defense points and persing damage?
It can be outed with Share the Pain which affects the player. Xyz Encore also works since it's not affecting the monster per se, but the materials attached to it.
Played against a rhongo player who opened up with godlike hand sadly for him I go first and got Grand Magnus on the field dude summoned Rhongo just to realize Magnus himself is quite a degenerate thus he surrendered
Normally, I condemn all Rhongo Evail Sales Ban users. But against such filth - Tax Dragon x3 - I support the torture Rhongo put that sorry excuse of a duelist through.
It's Number 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomyniad Cannot be destroyed by battle, Unaffected by other cards' effects. & Your opponent cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters.
@@lordspyro5983 It would be inutile since it can't be destroyed by battle and the opponent can't do shit because he is unnafected by cards effect ad you can't even summon monster while he is on the field ...
"Since that day opponent runs Underworld Goddess even if playing Runick or Floo..." Ok, if you're willing to put a replay of 67 turns then for sure my wacky videos can make the cut...
Cards like rongo im perfectly ok with when they counter 1000's of effect damage per turn for simply playing the game. Stall and watch him realize hes gonna deck out first lol
Everyone: Haha what an idiot for staying this long Personally I respect anyone who sees a duel until it's end instead of just surrendering because as long as you have cards you have a chance
All that pass and draw for 64 turns could have been used to find a new game and play againts something that is not like this. If he then stays for this long and ragequit before deckout then thats on him. The Rhongo player got what he wanted and opponent wasted alot of time trying to out something he cant out. You cant normal/special summon and it cant be destroyed in battle and since its in defence position he takes no dmg. Also its an uneffected tower monster that cant be deals with with droplet or any negate effects so why should anyone stay until the end just to get decked out from this lol. And yes he is an idiot for staying that long mostly since its Sales Ban Rhongo he is facing so he cant win no matter what he did. And saying that you got no respect for people who surrender give me a reason why people should stay if thier deck cant deal with opponents. Forcing someone to stay while you spend the next 10 min playing with yourself instead of going for game is just you BM your opponent and being a dirty ass to him.
@@queenbrightwingthe3890 I mean yeah If your opponent is an asshole who does something like this but you never know, someone might make a misplay or a mistake getting too cocky which I've experienced and if I just surrender when it looked like my opponent had game I wouldn't have ranked up. But this is just my opinion and experience. I didn't know what they had in their deck so staying to see if you can play an out or your opponent doesn't read is a good gamble to me
