I love how the son is just like 'oh, sh*t' when he saw the pregnancy test while the father looks at his son like 'boy, wtf, you really don't know what you're getting into' 💀
Asian moms and Latino moms are like that. After being married for 2 years, I'm 27, and she's 25. My wife is Vietnamese, and my parents are both half white and half Mexican. I can tell you. My mom and her mom were excited, and her dad told me in his most Vietnamese accent, "mf bullshit you fk ma daughter" like its not normal and my dad was just like "pendejo, ya se acabo el corrido". After my son was born, her dad was excited talking about paying his piano classes, and my dad was already planning on putting him on the will to the farm like I don't exist.
@@dethtour 2 years ... really. My mother in law asked me if I felt myself well in 5 days after wedding. And in a month took me a doctor saying that I didn't get pregnant in 30 days. Certainly doctor punished her but ... . Unfortunately in our country brides should immediately get pregnant otherwise couples get divorced.
Pregnancy can happen the very first time or it can take over a year that’s just normal. Even birth control fails 20% with repeated use. All the statistics act as if you only do it one time. Wait till marriage to pretend your married. To stop your child’s heart with abortion is wrong, better to stop sleeping with someone you wouldn’t want as the parent of your child.
@@IssacVazquez-tp6xfI am not East Asian but I’ve seen parents of peers be extremely socially conservative especially for guys with hair do, piercings, tattoos.. it’s probably changed a lot because especially Asian guys seem to be experimenting so much with fashion and looks in recent years. But definitely a few years ago, I can see the earring would meet fierce criticism with conservative East Asian parents It’s interesting that conservatives in the west seem to have departed from the visual ideas of conservative looks. I’ve seen the Catholic Church employ what I’d say are punks - visually not meaning it judgementally. very interesting hair, beards lots of piercings and tats.. not that I disagree, but I feel a lot changed within a few years
@@gillove189i mean i get why she feels that way but factually speaking saying asian parents for a couple of asians who are parents is correct and it’s not like it’s offensive calling them that. Calling two asian parents, asian parents cause you don’t want to assume their race is different from calling something you know is a korean drama, an asian drama. (Also there’s a lot of other famous asian dramas like chinese, malaysian, japanese etc. that people could also be referring too when they say asian dramas.)
@@gillove189 Uhh not really, people usually lumps them together as western or white people. Still bad tho. As for hongkong people, why do they hate china so much? I mean I feel like as outside bystander, chinese government although oppressive is still better than hongkong government. Hongkong government tax little to corporation and in turn the people suffers. Especially those coffin homes, which is result of land bid, making housing hella expensive. I feel like chinese government although obnoxious with their policy, at least they built a lot of thing for people
@@gillove189they mean Chinese, Japanese and Koreans, specifically the Hans, Yamatos and Joseons, the ones with the highest IQ and cultures all are heavily influenced by the Tang dynasty. Just like how American doesn’t mean the entirety of America, it means people born in the USA. Stop living under a rock.
I love when the mom said “we’re big on family” and she holds up the pregnancy test and the boyfriend’s expression was hilarious. Damn she’s good and knows what to say and do.
That pregnant sequence lmao. I'd react like that father too if I was one in that situation. He's got "oh, you stupid boy, what have you done" all over his face.
Dad seems too experienced in this. Like he went through something similar and now is afraid of his son's future with this girl. Cause mom likes him...haha
@@tusk444 Yeah, she totally just "got" pregnant. Not like her boyfriend had anything to do with that..... 🙄🙄🙄 You know, it takes two to tango. If he didn't want her to get pregnant, he should've been more careful.
When I met my boyfriends Asian parents (I was in middle school btw) they were super nice and welcoming as I had known him previously since the first day of school at our pre-school. We’ve broken up now but we’re still close and I’m especially close with his younger sister! He’s also still the boy that I fell in love with and now we’re in junior high. UPDATE: we got back together and both of our lives have become brighter!
Yap,Koreans,Japanese Arabians,Indians,Filipinos or Malaysians are Asians including Chinese even Iraqis are Asians, they should use specific ethnic origins not Asians as Asian is a broad word,my culture doesn not care their children will marry
@@senbm4095 sorry. Normal people can figure it out. Sorry you can't. Eait you can it's why you are whining about it cause you thought I was talking about you and your ideology when I was saying Asian based off the actual video. Stop being a drama queen. This is why you get picked on.
@@Realmreaver1 lesson learned, people who does not know Asian geography dont just believe what they watch in YT, so many asian country with own culture and traditions, you must correct them when they use Asian in general, not all Asians are alike in tradition and culture so much so with looks..
@@senbm4095 ok Asian people who are not insecure. Does that define it better for you? Caucasian, white, cracker, Hillbilly ; whatever. I am so thankful I wasn't raised to be so insecure about my heritage being generalized. Unless I know them in person they are stranger and I take opinions with a grain of salt and not cling to every strangers remarks. Last post I will make about this.
but pregnancy before marriage seems to be a big no no in traditional asian families 🤣 edit: I want to clarify some stuff... Some of y'all think that not encouraging pregnancy before marriage means disapproving of the marriage/aborting the child. What I actually mean is we are discouraged from getting pregnant before we are married but in the event we do get pregnant, we would most likely marry as soon as possible so that the child will have a happy family. ☺️ Hope this clarifies!
The expressions on the parents' faces. The father's like: "Boy, you stupid?!" Meanwhile the mother is overjoyed with "Grandbaby!!!" running in her mind on a continuous loop.
To be fair, my asian parents were based enough to realise that Asian guys have it tough dating, they were really happy when I introduced to them a kind and thoughtful girl.
🤣🤣 OMG the dad's face once she whipped out the pregnancy stick was like, "son you're life is over now, WHY are you stupid?!" Meanwhile the son's face was like, "NO I'm not ready yet!!"
@@Sophie-vw5ol it's called discipline, when done in the right circumstances. When wrong actions don't have consequences, society will disintegrate into chaos. It's even biblical not to spare the rod.
As a Peruvian I can say that we have the same interview even when friends are invited 😅😅😅😅 everything is exact the same except for the pregnancy, I've seen many cousins that have gone through the same 😂😂😂😂😂
Fun story about my first serious bf (this was in high school) Their parents (chinese) were very traditional and (this is still a mystery) they assumed I didnt speak Chinese because I looked half white(? - my parents are Chinese. Its weird. I still get questions). So...whenever I went over, their parents made a deal of smack talking me in chinese while my then bf and I spoke only English. I did my best to play dumb. But i couldnt handle it anymore. So...i eventually broke up with him (he didnt really do anything to defend me either but he 15. I dont really expect him to either). And I explained the situation to him in English - to his horror, he realized I understood everything his parents said. Got an apology from his parents 15 years later. :')
@alexandrapankratov1906 my ex's grandmother was at the hospital and needed a translator and I was the only one that could speak it fluently 😅 Water under the bridge now 😊
I like the implicit threat of the pregnancy test..., lol ... Grandparents who want to see their grandchildren better be nice to the daughter-in-law....
Also showing the picture of her like a beauty queen and some artist I guess makes me laugh so hard and the last one I really laugh at is when the mom said we are big ni family 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had it the other way around when I met my ex gf's parents. Her dad really liked me cause I could do the grill and he liked that his daughter was dating someone educated who was already making good money and was her age (I had landed a good corpo job). He called me when we broke up to ask what happened. He was not happy 🤣😭 Edit 1: We broke up because we wanted to proceed differently with the relationship. She was going to college and she wanted me to move to her city and rent an apartment. I didn't want to move. She felt that it wasn't ok that I still lived in my family home, but at the time, my family needed the extra help so I couldn't move. We went back and forth on this for a few month before she broke up with me. It tussled my mind up a bit lol. Her dad thought that was a really, really dumb reason.
As an Asian I know this real Welly 🤣 if that was my parents they would say "How the hell this idiotic lazy got this gem " Than after seeing her pregnancy test 💀 my dad will simply break all my bones
This is kinda the one thing I don't get... I'm Asian myself and this is so accurate... When meeting the men's family it's like your getting an interview on being a baby sitter like wtf???
1) Asian moms do not drink cold water, let alone water with ice cubes. 2) Asian dads do not dress up for a girlfriend. If they usually roam around in the the house in a boxer, the most they do is put on pants. Never scarf and hairdo.
I'm sure she needed to bring copy of her parents diplomas and professional awards too. Even in Russia grandparents and grandparents usually help A LOT with raising kids, so it is reasonable to know who are those people.
