This endymion deck is seriously slept on. I just keeps up after so many years. It has become timeless. New meta comes out and yet still it keeps up. This deck is insane seriously. This happened live on stream. I was absolutely freaking out. I had no more jackal kings left in the deck so I would have only ended on one Endymion negate and he’d still have his Swordsoul banisher. Being able to utilize the floating effects of my scales felt so right on so many levels. It’s one of the many reasons why I love this deck.
Something that unfortunately didn’t get featured was how little cards I had left in the deck. By the final turn, there were 26 cards banished with only 3 cards left in my deck. It was an incredible duel.
3 banished mighty masters,electrumite banished, genni banished, a couple of spells banished in the process and the deck still had gass. I respect this deck's ability to play through many interruptions and still go as if nothing has happened (I am trying to build it too,but too many ur spells)
I love how you referred to one of the cards as “[G]enni” which I’m assuming is a reference to Witchcrafter Genni who is the counterpart to Servant of Endymion. I also love using Witchcrafters and I find it so cool that the archetypes are connected. This deck can play through an obscene amount of disruptions. I think it’s because since this deck has no combo lines, it’s more difficult to disrupt the plays. Every card just contributes to the combo you improvise on the spot so having one disruption to one card effect doesn’t affect the rest of the cards as much (especially when you anticipate and play around the handtraps that do hurt). Also the power of illiteracy does come into play more often than I would like to admit. xD Lastly, if you’re looking to build this deck, you can make a functioning cheap version of the deck using only 8 UR’s. It’s not as consistent as the current version, but using only 3 Jackal Kings, 3 Endymions, Electrumite, and Avramax essentially cover the basics for what you’ll need in most duels. The Spellbook engine is also very cheap since you just need to buy the structure deck one time. I see lots of people talk about the extremely high price of this deck yet on MDM, I’m the one with the cheapest deck cost since I don’t invest in all those extra deck combo lines like the odd eye package and whatnot. If you want to build this deck and don’t have too much crafting material, this deck can be SR heavy rather than UR heavy and be much more affordable.

Very good match, congrats! I play it too and I frequently combo Luna or Magical exemplar and Arcanite magician, together with Witchcrafter scroll. I like how it confuses people in the end and especially their ability to be old cards but still kick buts like no tomorrow.
What kind of hand traps are yall running, if any? If im going second against snake eyes or branded and i dont have a negate im pretty much done for. I’m running 3 veiler now at least they’re spellcaster so i can send it to the grave with spellbook of knowledge and draw 2. But im stuck on platinum 3 I’ve never hit diamond and im really trying to. Its tough lol
So I use no going-second hand traps in Endymions. They’ll brick going first and they suck to draw into if you go second. What this deck lacks in handtraps it makes up for in gas to break several boards. And it’s funny you mention Snake Eyes and Branded because those are the two easiest matchups for this meta (the easiest is actually Mannadium). Snake-Eyes isn’t really anything to worry about (someone in the MDM Endymion channel even went as far as to call them “free wins”). Whenever I go second against them, they always just end on IP, Promethean Princess, and Swarmship in the graveyard (and those are very easy to play through). The only thing I have to worry about are the handtraps (and maybe the Diabellstar trap but that isn’t commonly used). It is very easy to just get enough counters to Endymion pop the board because their disruptions are all relying on you special summoning first, so you don’t need to establish negates to protect your Endymion. Branded also isn’t something to worry too much about. The only thing that is concerning is the Puppet lock (and that shouldn’t even be in the game anymore). Other than that, just watching out for Branded Beast is all to be concerned over because you can Endymion pop the board without even summoning anything. It got to a point where I was so desensitized to Branded disruptions that I pointed out on a RU-vid vid that a Branded endboard was weak and someone responded to me, saying “that is one of Branded’s strongest endboards.” My strategy against them is to not summon to the field if you can help it. Prioritize searching Citadel if you can, and keep building counters on your scales until Endymion can pop the board. If you need to use one of your scales early, try to summon Jackal King to hold their disruptions in place and then you’ll have plenty to pop the board. Also just to mention here, when I go first against the deck, they always draw Maxx c and I take the challenge. And they always draw super Poly too but I’ve been so desensitized to it because it only gets rid of two negates and I still build up plenty to disrupt their turn and win. If they decide to enter the battle phase and attack over more negates, I’m now guaranteed another turn and it gets very difficult for them to remove all my negates while establishing their own board, so when it goes back to me, it’s much easier to OTK. I haven’t had too many issues with Branded in the meta (it’s only when they discard Droll that it gets difficult). The only decks that give me an issue are Mathmech and SHS, but some of the SHS players I’ve went against mess up and only get out one to two disruptions. But those duels aren’t the best matchups anyway. I’m much happier to see Snake Eyes because Endymions have a super easy matchup against them.

Bro i dont think its slept on so much that i dont think some normie can pick up this deck and make the plays that you do. Its infinitely easier to click button win game using simple shit like kash and swordsoul but this win was all you being an insane pilot man. I dont see the average dude bait battle phases and use endys pop to set down pendulum scales for yourself like you do, most wouldve been fucked by the chengying and just surrendered. The deck is insane but itd the players who use it like you and eevo sketch that makes it this crazy.
I appreciate your kind words, Ace! And I actually do agree with your summation on why nobody uses this deck. The way Konami designs modern decks, you don’t have to think anymore. And it begs the question on why someone would learn Endymions to have to think for their wins when they can just build a meta deck and brainlessly win. For me though, when I am able to think through my moves, it is so much more fun to earn my victories from my own skill as opposed to my deck winning for me. Also with the fact that Endymions is so versatile, you can think your way around a lot more situations as opposed to just being on autopilot using a meta deck and not knowing which way is up. I wish Konami made more decks that were as well designed as Endymions is but I guess that would make the game way too intimidating to even join. At least with how confusing Endymion is, it keeps the deck from being touched on the banlist.
Yeah, a great part of this deck is that the extra deck is absolutely optional. Even if your extra deck is threatened by something like Scythe or Domain, you can still duel just fine.

Hello, user! Pendulum Magicians are also a creative deck just like Endymions. The only issue is that they rely too heavily on Electrumite and Beyond the Pendulum to the point where if either gets negated, it can be disastrous for their turn. With Endymions, this deck can negate anything that would negate Electrumite (like Imperm or Veiler), it can also play through a negated Electrumite (or not even summon her at all like in TCG), and it can establish several negates without even needing to pendulum summon. I would say Endymion is stronger than Pendulum Magicians.
@@shadowspector3611 as a pendulum magician's player , Electrumite is not a main card in my deck, I mean it's often just a step to waste my opponent negations . I asked just because I want to make an Endymion deck but I don't know which better, endymion or magicians. Thank you very much

@thefinalanomaly you have magician's right hand in the deck list but not the search card for it that revives low level spellcasters on play. You can combo it with souls and grab a hand from deck.
@@thefinalanomaly yeah, and old thing I once that I and some other guys once came up. It had to do with how shit the deck was in TCG when it got the big hit (from which it still hasn't recovered). Without Electrumite we turned towards the deck's other strength which was its spellcaster typing. So the strat was to get Crowley (the only other good link 2 for Endymion back then) as fast as possible, and also use the Spellbook mini-engine to make up for not having Upstart at 3x or Chicken Game like OCG did. Because the secret to Endymion is to maintain card advantage but while being able to keep playing spells. Anyway, I figured Magician's Restage was a free body since we were playing between 1-3 Blueboy and 3x Souls (some people also went for Jester's Confit which was also an Allure target), and Instant Fusion with MER was also a sort of extra consistency + protection against some handtraps if you wanted to play a powerful spell in the opener. Since each copy of Restage lets you ss a lvl2 or lower caster from the gy once (oce for each copy, not limit activation on multiple copies) you could easily use the lvl1s to ss Anima then ss the lvl1 again and you have Crowley from 2 cards without wasting advantage, plus the random add from Crowley. If you were lucky to open Souls with Restage you could then send Restage to the gy for the draw effect and when it goes into the gy you can add either of the Magician's Hand cards, so you could net extra advantage and more spells for counters fuel. And since the Hands let you play through crazy stuff like being able to outmaneuver Super Poly, Dark Ruler or Droplets it was a pretty neat gimmicky deck. Secret Village is outright more OP blocking the opponent from even playing spells, but Right Hand would win you duels because the opponent was throwing 6 cards on the trash just to bypass your field and doesn't fuck you like Secret Village does if they manage to leave you without casters on the board. I highly doubt it will ever surpass the Mythical Beast build on Master Duel because it was a desperate gimmick from a very grim period for the deck in the TCG, and in Master Duel they just allowed us to play with all the OCG toys that truly make this deck a menace in the right hands :D
