I think they genuinely just wrote it in a way that tells the story of Firefly, MC and Aventurine at the same time. AND THAT IS GENIUS

Don't forgot, at the beginning of White Night, we were dancing with Aventurine but at the end of the song he was switched with Clockie. I find it odd that we were dancing with our boy but was sudden swap with Clockie.

Penacony arc was made to confused the living heck out of anyone just to make their jaw drop once they comprehend it

There are some lyrics which I think could relate to Aventurine's relationship with others, Be my saviour and take me away - Acheron, who "freed" him with her sword Lead me with your altered sign - Dr. Ratio, who left Aventurine a note to live on and/or Sparkle who lead him with weird clues A magic show I cannot escape - Sunday trapping him with harmony (Already in video)

probably the most well written character in honkai star rail, there are some good characters in this game who go through their own development (seele, bronya, etc..) but i think aventurine has THE best development, from a cocky arrogant character who takes risks bigger than life itself that is revealed to be a scared and hurting person. i love his story and im so glad he chose to kept going instead of dying

Normal players: “Wait, it’s all about Aventurine?” Aventurine delulus (me): “always has been” Also if you think about it, the way this song is produced reads more like a hype and upbeat song. You would expect a song like this to be more “pop” sounding, but then you look at the lyrics to reveal that something much deeper is going on. It’s like Penacony itself, enshrouded by a fabricated dream hiding behind a guise of lies and trying to present itself as something it’s not.

The line "Just be my savior and take me away" could be from Aventurine to Acheron and asking her to bring him to the other side. As he waggered that she will do it. While, "Oh, lead me with your altered sign." is a message from Aventurine to Sparkle. As she gave him hints in a altered way or in riddles in 2.0 and 2.1. Anyways, Aventurine made me cry a lot, can't wait for him to come home 😢❤

“Heading to the other side” and “There is no one else left for me to lose” broke me rn 😭😭😂

and the altered sign part is Ratio's letter to him

“A magic show I cannot escape” is also a reference to how Aventurine refers to his boss battle as a show to Kakavasha, which leads to his “death” by Acheron-death being something you can’t escape from.

This was the most fleshed out a character ever got from hoyoverse

Objectively speaking, Aventurine is one of, if not the best written character in the Penacony story so far. Unlike most other characters in the Penacony story, Aventurine is one of the few who has a discernible desire and fear that can be clearly understood of why he chose to be part of the plot. Aventurine wasn’t there because the plot said so, but because he said so. No other character really has defined personal stakes in the Penacony story that are as fleshed out as his so far imo, which is the driving factor behind why people are compelled to sympathize with his situation. Every other character might have their own reasons for being there, but their personal stakes in terms of how it relates to their desires and fears isn’t as clear or is sometimes nonexistent. This is why Aventurine was the most memorable in Penacony to me.

I'm new to this whole Hoyoverse so when people were telling me to never, NEVER trust Shaoji I was thinking it couldn't be that bad. Right? And then Gallagher happened

Aventurine easily is the best written character of HSR for me after 2.1 trailblaze quest. Hoyo was cooking so good in his lore 😭

There is no way I won't pull for Aventurine after seeing his story, it was so heartbreaking and profound..

I think the MC is going to end up distrusting Firefly and actually helping out Aventurine in some form or another which is why the hat seems to be iconic to the story of Penacony and it probably becomes the source of our power like the Rand Lance for Preservation. Aventurine was never really an antagonist, even through association with the capture and claim operations of the IPC. He was always playing with the hand he was dealt and took every measure it meant to make him come out on top. In the end, he saw that ultimately losing was the victory because it was an escape from the torment of being held in someone's chains, be it the IPCs, The Harmony's, even the coils of life itself. He was a man with basically nothing to lose, even if his funds were lost in the process and all the assets that made him hold the status he had were stripped from him. He willingly broke himself to prove that he could win even when everyone around him though he'd lost, and hopefully, amidst the abyss where he lost everything but his soul, he is able to make it back out of the otherworld alive to tell the tale like Robin.

ngl i already figured this was basically his theme song when it dropped but its so satisfying seeing everything come together

He is the only charcter since the start of the game that made me really conect to the story , and to him .

In the full version of the song, there's parts that go something like "I'll bring you to my best disguise", probably referencing Gallagher at the end of the 2.1 story and Sunday saying he has a "disguise", and the other part is "cuz you don't need, don't need to know the truth", probably also referencing Gallagher and Sunday's conversation and the truth behind the murders.

Aventurine has the best character development, and writing. Swear it had me tear me up once, AND IVE NEVER FELT LIKE THAT ABOUT A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. As much as i am angry at shaoji for giving him such an emotional backstory, i acknowledge how well hes written, and how much effort hoyo puts into hsr.

They really took Aventurine from someone who everyone was calling sus to one of the best bois.

Aventurine legit the one that carrying whole penancony storyline, he's the main character.

Holy shit man this character made me cry so much when i was doing the story quests He reminds me of myself, having no one to lose, having to just endure everything done to you to get to where you are now,to be free,and even then i still wish for death each day,i still keep going tho because maybe one day ill find something worth living for,maybe ill be happy one day. This character has a special place in my heart and my respect goes to whoever wrote him and this part of the story

I think The part ''I don't wanna be alone tonight'' , that's why he use big speakers or maybe concert speakers to make everyone come to see him because he gonna die affterall in next 16-17hours and The part "There's nothing else left for me to do'' is i think after he speaks to npc for the information he found the sparkle (his plan to see her) and he knows information from sparkle so he don't have anything else to do about finding more npc and more information and the next sentence is going to the other side other side so he move on to the stadium and the part " i don't wanna be alone tonight" is come so the lyrics is really connected to story

I make a personal head theory awhile back about the song lyrics (the lyrics was too on the nose for me not to care). Was right about the lyrics being a part of the story, did not expected it to be about Aven tho.

At first i liked him cause he was pretty. And in 2.0 i was indifferent. I was gonna pull for him regardless but 2.1 made me actually WANT him. I love his character so much.

This is what 7 years of game making does to a company Impact 3rd gave them the experience of coming up with innovative stories Genshin taught them how to make fantastic animations And Star Rail is the result of it

I have my respect for him, even i have fuxuan i Will pull for him, i am not a gay but his just too well written character
