Memory’s come back to me if my dads crazy ass 17ft bass boat with a 225 full racing Mercury, had to get haul reshaped, had to even put on last bolt so the guy at shop wouldn’t be liable 🤣. We wore neck braces and helmets. Fastest we ever clocked it at was 101 and running just a few inches on the pad. Had to drive tf outta that crazy lil boat but it was straight open Exhaust. Would beat nearly anything in bass tournaments to the honey holes. I miss those days. Back around 2000
Ol boy down the road from me he’s about 7 years older than me so he’s around 53-54 had a 20’ or 22’ but in Stroker 99 and me him and gear was running around 98-100 depending on wind and tide you Do Not need neck braces or helmet unless winter time wore helmets to see back before phasesavers come out and there’s a couple boys who came around us like tied to a stump and we had a buddy in his patrol car shot radar LA state Police so it was on
No propeller there, it has an Impeller, with a water intake right before the transom, and probably a ride plate extension back of the transom. Hence the gnarly 🐓 behind it.
Looks like the Columbia river to me. He can definitely get ticketed, the sheriff patrols on boat every day during summer. I believe the entire river has a 45 mph speed limit.
That's actually how I describe driving a high-speed boat. Yaw and roll are on the steering wheel and throttle. Pitch and speed on the throttle, trim, and jackplate. Now, balance a couple thousand pounds on an area that is 6x12 inches with those levers.
I've spent a lot of time on Lake Havasu in a houseboat. I got kinda nervous when I see someone coming towards me at 100+ when all I got is maybe 10 at the most. So far so good!
I've never thought 70 was fast.... Except on the water, which is pretty fast. But, a loaded fishing boat compared to that jet boat is like comparing that jet boat to an actual fast boat....
Get that prop worked 2k into your motor and deferent gears in the lower unit you won’t have as hard of hole shot but that boat will not leave you sitting there anymore
If you wanna talk FAST boats talk about blower motors in boats, they are literally full pedal to the metal literally! They are on the ragged edge of becoming one of the world's largest grenades!
My bass cat jaguar STS will do 84 mph pushing a 22 ft boat and it's box stock wait till I hop it up. Money on the water poor sitting on the bank again.😂😂😂
