Just slowly push yourself to go harder. Don't start off with speed, get comfortable. Remove some cobwebs and get warmed up. Then slowly start to go faster. Analyse your own riding, tell yourself "oh I could've done this or that differently", try it and see if it was an improvement or not. Be scientific about it. Because at the end of the day, everyone's riding is different. What works for others may not work for you. Maybe you just really don't want the speed which is okay. More time to take in views, and be more technical with your riding rather than brute-forcing your way through things. Sometimes it's your mood, maybe you'll have a fast day here, and a leisurely ride there. I'd say try track riding more, as it's speed focused. You're used to enduro, which is technical riding. It's what your bike was made for, so you got that going for you.

After seeing how slow you went around the first corner I think he will catch you in 1/4 of a lap. Haaaaa. Just havin fun. Keep up the content!!

It's true, you are not a revvvver, or a jumper. I am the opposite, I love to rev that 2 stroke engine at near full throttle all the time, throwing big roosts, slamming berms, and taking big jumps, I love that air time, feels great.

TO go faster, you also need to brake harder ,you were coasting alot and braking late.Watch your faster buds and you will for sure pick up your speed.Just focus on the basics,when braking hard push your weight back.On the apex of the corner get your weight as far forward as you can,right up on the tank.In a left turn weight your right footpeg and get your right elbow pointing up also.This will help you make the front tire stick better then you can modulate the power wi h the clutch getting on the throttle

I know exactly how U feel. I was Riding an Classic Enduro Race in Germany a couple of years ago and Stephan Peterhansel was there too. We were Riding in the Same class and the Special Test was on a field. At the start of the Test Stephan was 3 drivers behind me. I was trying to Finish bevor He gets me. I Break for a Corner Shift one Gear down and Go in Drift around it. I was thinkig wow thats fast. But Stephan Overtake me INSIDE so a Wheelie and Salute to His wife. Was so ashamed 😂😔

You should get a old 125 MX bike there pretty cheap and 125s are one of the best bikes to make you a better rider in my opinion.

Im glad im not the only one with a cornering problem😂 im just too scared to lean when im in ruts so i end up not turning and my front tire just washes out cuz i end up leaving the rut

Buy a 125 or 150 sx and you will learn a bunch. Those are not as scary as 250/300s when you get on the throttle and the 125/150 won't tire you out as fast either. Just get one, they are awesome.
