@@daviddergenc7682 The shark is actually doing fine. Her name is Roxy and she has been one of Ocean's friends for over 20 years. Apparently, Roxy is one of the first sharks to have had an opportunity to kill Ocean a long time ago when Ocean didn't see her swimming up from behind. Ocean has a had a lot of time to bond with this particular shark because of all the fishing gear she's removed from Roxy.
@KatarinaBallerina77 Don't know how baby shark behavior in the womb has anything do to with adult shark behavior towards people. Don't believe sharks can make connections with people? Look up "Man Has Been Friends With Tiger Shark For Over 22 Years."
@KatarinaBallerina77 You DOUBT it? What do you doubt? The fact that the video exists? That the video will give my point merit? Or you doubt yourself because somebody may have just handed you an envelope with the truth in it but you are too consumed by your own prejudice to open it?
When she touched his snout, look at eyes they roll back. They roll back if they are killing their pray, he wasn't &/when they sleep. You maneuver him snout down. There is footage out there.
NEVER get complacent around wild animals and think you have some 'special' relationship with them. They are programmed for survival. She's been lucky so far.
@@daviddergenc7682Sharks don’t use their front two fins, instead they slightly alter their position to change what direction to move. Their speed comes from their tail. Honestly the shark probably was just confused and wanted to slow down to look.

She has actually been in contact with this shark for years and they have a playful relationship. The shark even has an obsession with the latter on her boats.. but still a funny comment. ❤
Agree ,I think when they aren't in hunting mode they swim by gently but when they decide your food well then its naught to 1000 ,no time to redirect then
Hungry or not they won’t target humans IF you know what you’re doing. Who do they normally go after? Swimmers who are splashing, surfers who are shaped oddly also splashing
@@tjmcqueen7270I hope she got this if she hasn't she's dead or maimed for life .and the shark gets vilified again for doing what they normally do .and that's find food and eat it .a sharks biggest enemy are humans
I'm sure Vladimir Popovs Dad would agree how Tiger sharks are misunderstood. Thinking how beautiful & friendly they are - as he hears his son crying out "help Papa" ! That video of poor Vladimir was heartbreaking, I understand sharks aren't the mindless killers shown in "Jaws" but neither are they harmless as kittens & perfectly safe to swim with. I agree we should learn about sharks & they must be protected But don't give them pet names & teach kids it's fun to play with sharks
That video is rough I’ve seen a lot of shit but that was horrible surprised it’s even on RU-vid it was in my shorts one night I regret watching even watching it
Is that the guy from the Grizzly documentary?. LOOOVED HIM.. crazy how he pointed out the exact bear he thought would maybe kill him.also it’s cool he didn’t want anyone to kill a bear if he was killed.. but nobody listened and they killed the bear.
She will, too. I also believe Steve Irwin was doing something dangerous when he died. The narrative lacks crucial detail, the footage is sealed forever and the family isn't talking. 🤔
Gobbles her up. Her: but I thought we were...... Arrrrrrghh Shark: gobble* gobble* mmmm yummy News: local diver gets gobbled up by best friend, tiger shark😢
Ocean Ramsey is the only person in this world who regularly swims with great white sharks. She'll even take a ride on there dorsal fin. Unfortunately, I believe that one day I'm going to turn my phone on and it'll be all over the news that she was taken. I'm dreading that day, and pray it never happens but All it takes is one GW that has been hurt and can't hunt and is starving and she's done. These are situations that are out of her control, no matter how calm she remains, no matter how educated she is on how to behave and conduct herself in their presence, it just takes one. I understand that there's nothing more that she enjoys, and she feels a true connection with these animals, but she's made it this far, she's worth over 3 million, so she doesn't need to continue doing this for monetary reasons. I say it's time to pull back a bit. She's already gone much farther than anyone has in this particular field.
Well pondered comment ! I haven’t kept up with Alex Honnold but have often thought that he may very well run out of luck, as skilled and talented as he is. You can only push it so far.
@@billbally4419 wow you completely missed the point of what I was saying. Of course she's not the only one. But she REGULARLY swims with great whites and interacts with them like no one else does
You could say the same thing about people who walk on the foot path. It only takes one drunk driver, or one rabid dog, or one psychopath with a gun/knife etc. Or one building facade to collapse, and yet even though these ways of dying are common (much more common than shark attack), people still walk on the foot path. Crazy.
Yeah but that orca was abused and in captivity. This is completely in the wild with a free fish in its natural habitat. Not you, but I'm surprised by how many people here are taking the literal meaning of the word "friend". Obviously she doesn't consider a marine wild animal to be her literal "bestie"; she's simply stating they both can recognize each other and was using colorful language to make her point

You don't have to be brave to swim with sharks. You simply need to understand their behavior and respect them while you're in their habitat. People have absolutely no reason to fear sharks. They just get a bad rap because of stupid horror movies.
Every time I see one of Ocean Ramsay’s video I thank Our Father that she is still w us. Animals will always be animals and if a shark is hungry; it doesn’t matter weather you guys are best friends. We need to start respecting these animals home. Yes, there is a certain way to handle a shark and act but if that shark is hungry ……. Start respecting their home
Sharks do not prey on humans. We do not taste good to them. We are both apex predators. They aren’t out to hunt us. They fear us more than we fear them. Some get a little curious, and because she doesn’t want the shark too close, she redirects. She isn’t scared, no one should be. They just need to be respected-
@@thatghost9428Have you no clue how many people have died from shark bites ??? They don't care what you taste like ! They have found license plates in the bellies of shark's !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😇
Unfortunately many people get deceived by such videos, thinking the Wild life is just one Disney movie. The settings they video tape, the divers do off camera analyses of the sharks behavior, perhaps they feed the sharks first, or they go into the water when the shark shows signs of no interest meaning, it's not in a hunting mood, just a cruising mood, if you notice the water isn't murky, and it's deep open ocean not along the coast where sharks like to stalk at seals, the point being is these tiktok video only capture when sharks are not in a frenzy mood, or active. Things will be a lot different otherwise
The shark looks happy like it’s smiling. This also reminds me of “you knew I was a snake when you picked me up” because a shark gone do what he gone do!

Watched a tiger shark come in so fast there was no time for the person to push it away. Extremely strong and lightning fast. I’m sure she doesn’t underestimate them.
Shark is what it is..Human needs oxygen tanks..wet suit..a boat ..gas....training.. costly.?..your life.?..too costly for me...but I'll watch all the videos...safely..they never show an actual attack?..why not..think about it...
You can't do this with just any shark you find in the ocean. This is a shark that has had frequent interactions with people probably on a daily basis since it was young, and I would bet daily interactions with this same woman. She definitely couldn't interact like this with a totally wild shark that isn't use to people.
C’est magnifique et heureusement qu’il y a des personnes pour nous montrer ces rencontres improbables avec des animaux sauvages… Et le plus grand prédateur c’est l’homme qui ne comprend rien à rien avec la nature et ces magnifiques créatures ❤
Crazy how that tiger shark can achieve cuteness and adorableness just buy the funny quirky thing it does with its mouth. You can tell her that it doesn't want to bite her it has its mouth open in a kind of playful confused ornery innocent fashion that you can see on the face of any child roughhousing with their peers especially if they're doing something new novel that they haven't done before they always get to look up concentration on their little faces and they stick one part of their lip out in such a fashion and that tiger shark is mirroring that expression perfectly. I don't know if it's some kind of Scar defecting of the tiger shark or if it's actually it's expression but it is cute. If you notice the part where it gets out of the lip isn't in the center or anything either it's Austin or so it's crooked so there's something completely unique to this tiger shark
She is going to risk it every single time. Until she can’t anymore. When I eventually see the headline “Ocean Ramsey, Shark lover, killed by a Shark” I’m going to immediately sigh and then carry on with my life.
This is so beautiful. And she wasn't coming at her with an open mouth, that's a deformed jaw from a previous accident/encounter of some kind (not with her).
Everyone so worried about the shark knowing damn well the most dangerous preditor in this situation is the one wearing the scuba gear. Imagine being in your own habitat, minding your own business and you bite your meal. Only to be put down because you "attacked" someone who had no business being in your territory in the first place.
Thank you for all the work you do, Ocean! I recently watched Eli Roth's documentary on shark finning and it made me cry. It was so eye-opening and important for everyone to know about. These creatures are so vital and need our help.
Gordon ramesey did a shark fin video how sad that nobody know why they eat shark fin soup except that it's an expensive meal. They capture juveniles and adults to appease the Chinese
Everything that moves is a delicacy in oriental countries, they need to stop the nonsense!! Some will get their due karma with covid and sars....but not enuff!!!
Yes I saw a documentary I'm not sure if it's the same one you saw, but sounds quite familiar. Because, they were trapping w/enormous fishnets, sharks for their fins! Well, the one I saw is a group of young people, well this young man grew up in the ocean in California and has a STRONG LOVE FOR SHARKS. So, him & his crew will go and save the sharks, turtles & some dolphins from them dying stuck in the nets. They can't save all of course! As they're mainly protecting the sharks from being slaughtered for their Fins😢 It was so heart wrenching, I cried a lot So this guy would not only save the sharks in his home ocean, but overseas somewhere like Australia. Not sure. He put himself in danger as well, by doing this! Remarkable, courageous young man. Although he took many many chances and the last show I saw he came up missing so I'm not quite sure what's going on with that? I hope everything's okay
Ocean Ramsey, you are incredible person, hats off! I am 42 years old, I love animals very much and have watched a lot of documentary videos about sharks, but I could not even imagine that such a thing was possible! Your videos just turned my mind upside down, I watched them and couldn't believe my eyes!! Thank you very much, Ocean, for all your hard efforts, you doing great job❤❤❤ I am very very appreciate, God bless you, Ocean! I hope the day will come when I will be able to personally visit your wonderful center, help you little bit and see these extraordinary creatures firsthand. Greetings from Russia and best wishes, Ocean😊
She's an Instagram influencer who pretends to be a marine biologist, which she is not by the way. She sets a dangerous trend & exploits these animals. She shamefully stressed & harrassed a pregnant Great White about 4 years ago just for the footage. She makes me sick.
Altho I'm all about not villainizing sharks calling them best friends (or even friends) is a stretch. They are wild animals, powerful predators, they can take a human down in a blink of an eye. Romanticizing sharks is just as bad as villainizing them
I always have this sinking feeling( pun intended) someday this won’t end well. I sure hope not. Theses creatures are certainly amazing, and she loves them ,but they are wild.
But totally ignorant and arrogant. It would be awesome to see her "best friend" bite her arm off... sorry.. not sorry. People like this will eventually be killed and all the world will want that beautiful shark to be killed because it acted just like.....a shark.
I swear one of these days we're going to hear about how she was eaten and everyone won't be surprised... I know she has a good heart for these creatures, but they're not human and are very strong and hungry
If you don't splash and hit their deactivate button(snout) you're almost always safe. They have a bunch of nerves in their snout that when touched long enough confuses them. She's not "redirecting" it.
She's not trying to confuse him, she's simply letting him know she doesn't have food for him. Otherwise he would've gotten alot closer and greatly raised the chance of an accidental bite or injury to him or her. That's a shark that gets fed by people (most likely her) on almost a daily basis. It's easy to tell by the way he comes up to her and opens his mouth. Sharks that don't get fed by people don't behave like that.
I would confidently bet you an entire years salary that this woman has had hundreds of interactions with this same shark and has never been even in the slightest bit of danger. Sharks actually have good memory and can recognize people who swim with them frequently... But besides that, humans just simply aren't on a sharks menu You've got a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice in the same day than getting attacked by a shark
@@PrincessZelda_is_My_Side_Chick Those odds are greatly changed when you are walking in a lightning storm in an open field carrying an umbrella with you , which is like what she is doing with this underwater lightning.
Grizzly man death is a completely different scenario. He did not take the right precautions, he romanticized that he had a special relationship with all of them. If memory serves me right, he camped out with them and one turned on him. Grizzlies are notoriously bad tempered and can snap at a moments notice. Sharks are not exactly the same. All living beings have rules they live by that's dictated by their nature. And you ignore them at your peril. Ramsey has built up a swath of knowledge so she can navigate scenarios. IF she sees a shark being overly curious she knows what to do to exert dominance and if that doesn't work, I am sure she gets the hell out of the water quick. Actually she should show those moments as a reality check for people.
@@Lioness_UTV She’s taking the same risk as Treadwell. He got eaten by a bear, and said bear was killed by the authorities. Ramsey may “think” she’s qualified, however, she’s playing “Russian Roulette.” Plus, her videos are misleading, meaning someone’s going to get killed imitating her “interactions.”
How so? Any proof? I'd love to read up on that. If they aren't feeding them I see no problem. Plus if you bothered AT ALL to look into the actual channel you'd know these are very specific sharks whose habits they study. They aren't dropping in the middle of shark infested waters and filming any shark looking to engage. Great job of confirming my thoughts on modern men are correct.
@tehfuqizg0inon588 SMH. Its a damn shame ppl with the least amount of comprehension skills are the quickest to open their mouth and prove it. I'm not explaining a thing. You read it. Got triggered. @@PrincessZelda_is_My_Side_Chick this is a fucking lie, stop regurgitating everything you hear because it won’t help anyone.
