Yeah he’s not an og og . Mike,John,peric,flair and lunkers are the og crew and then they added lakeforkguy afterwards. He’s still definitely an earlier member though

I cannot wait till this channel Hits 1 million subscribers cuz you deserve it buddy. You're always teaching us new techniques and hopefully you're getting these younger kids excited about fishing and out of the house and out on the water or at least outside where they need to be. Love the content love the lake life content as well and you're killing the game buddy great job! Sorry about the prop shaft that really sucks but I know even a bent prop shaft won't keep you down for very long at all. Keep up the great work you are a true Master of the fishes

We switched to aluminum props for that reason. Cheaper and they will break before anything else. We have rocks on the lakes we boat on in Wisconsin. Always enjoy the videos!

I hit a sunken tree at WOT 2 octobers ago. The outboard looked to be way under trimmed. When I got home, I noticed that I had some rotten wood in the transom! I spent that winter learning how to and repairing the transom from the inside completely. Lesson learned but at least the OB survived the collision.

I hit rocks all the time with my mercury 115 I run aluminum props and keep two so I never damage my lower unit just damage a150 dollar prop

Ouch I did the same exact thing in 2017. That prop shaft for that motor is 325 not including all the seals and labor. I would guess about 900+ would be a starting point for that 250 pro xs! Hopefully you have nationwide insurance they took care of mine and never even raised my rates or even called me , just handled it : )

With the elite event there at the lake, probably could have just swung by the merc trailer and I’m sure they’d have just slapped a new lower unit on there for you if it’s still under warranty.

@@JonBecker81 I’ve seen tournament videos where guys will roll in to the merc trailer with a bad lower unit and they just swap it out right there. I think LunkersTV had one replaced that way.

What reels do you use Justin? I love all your videos whether fishing or whatever your up too. The wood working videos are great your family channel is great as well. Just curious as to what reels you use or any of the Googan’s use as a amateur fisherman I like to explore different rods,reels and baits. Unfortunately my trip 3 days ago on Lake Hamilton ended even worse. Had an amazing day with my ole lady and caught some tanks. I ended the day fishing a few hundred yards from the ramp and in that short distance i blew the #5 cylinder on my 200 optimax right after getting on pad. Worst feeling in the world!

Tough break with the boat. We always run an aluminum prop and keep a spare stainless steel prop in the boat. Rather break apart a prop than a prop shaft or worse.

Being Old School I always have an auxiliary motor in case the main breaks. That way you aren't drifting home, hoping the trolling motor holds up. You don't see many guys with auxiliaries these days.

I fish Truman lake which is as bad as lake fork. Get you an aluminum prop, that way it just tears up the prop and not the lower unit…lots cheaper.

Last weekend we fished a derby and battery was toast. All we had was trolling motor, no graphs...lol. Fished about 200 yards twice cause we only had 4 hrs. We won..... best day ever!

My recommendation would be to obliviously repair the lower unit and then buy a new prop. those aluminum props are to tough lmao, if you would of had a normal prop you would just have broke a fin off and been able to change it yourself and keep fishing
