@@ambitiously_For real, I've only ever seen/heard native english speakers make that "of" mistake. Must be because they learned the language by ear and not a whole lot of reading, but it's still weird because the shortened "ve" also sounds different.

We had two labradors. Absolutely loved them. We used to joke if someone was breaking into the house they’d just smile and watch, thinking “look at all the trouble this person is going through to play with me!” 😂
I grew up with a Pug - Schnauzer mix, ahhh the most amazing dog any little 90s kid would dream of. I consider him my little brother still 17 years after he went to that rainbow bridge... The magic of Life made this dog look more like Falcor (from The NeverEnding story) than anything I've seen in real life. And he was just so loving and happy all the time lol, if someone was fumbling around for their keys or waiting for someone to let them in, he would sing and bounce off the walls with unwavering joy until they came in. And my dad always said "if anyone put up with that long enough he actually makes it thru a window or door, that boy is gonna lick em to death and back!"

Give him a treat and he'd have gotten in the car and left with them. Fortunately, we bred them. His Daddy wasn't so passive. My Dad schutzhund trained for the police and military and people who wanted that service from them. Unfortunately, someone DID break in our home. They shot his Daddy 9 times before they escaped with all the valuables they wanted 😭
He might have thought someone was coming since the dog showed up. He brought the bike back in. If someone comes out when he calls for them then he's just petting their dog and not doing anything too wrong
