@Legally Brown I don't think anyone has had the pink sharpays lockers. There is a single red locker by the gym that I know for a fact is being used by a student. However, I don't know if that is actually down part of the movie (haven't seen the movie in its entirety) I don't think it's part of the movie as the paint is chipping off, The only other red lockers we have are in the boys locker room (not a girl so I don't know) and those are in use by the PE classes
@@Eeelsushi no I just mean that the school actually looks clean i.e. no rubbish on the floor or dirt and mud. Definitely not my school, our school wasn't that white
Seriously like I want them to rehearse after class every day like "NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UPPP" or "super idol" and and one day just sing it out randomly They could pack small instruments into their backpacks and do the same
I was an asst theatre teacher at the time in cottonwood heights and many of my students were in the film. Pretty much none of them do acting anymore so it’s now just a fun ‘two truths and a lie’ for them to have
My cousin was in Drive Me Crazy, she was a cheerleader, in Utah. They used her high school to film the movie and had local kids as background kids. She was in the cheer scene and the prom scene. Melissa Joan Heart 💜❤️
I did have a childhood. We played outside and socialized. Shit, our parents couldn't get us to stay inside. We definitely weren't watching this brain melting garbage
It actually is, it's a really old school but just before High school musical was made they remodeled it. So when the movie studio was looking for a school to film in, they picked this one as it had just been remodeled. In fact West High who is the rival of East High in the movie (which is a really school near East High) is actually being remodeled soon as well, West High is the oldest School in Salt Lake City and East High is now the second, South High was shut down and turned into a college. East High was originally built in 1912.
High school sucks until you’re not in it anymore, then you wanna go back. Even my friends who disavowed school 2 years later pulled the “man I miss high school”.
@@SomeUnnoticedAnimatorAndEditor I feel tempted to say something like this whenever I break a 69, but then I get scared and silently flee the scene of the crime.
Meanwhile, my high school’s out here, looking like a prison yard it even has a watch tower 💀 Edit: dang the number of people who’s schools used to be actual prisons is shocking
You just know that school made bank because of the movies. That place definitely hires REAL janitors and probably even has full course meals for the school lunch.
@@leila_de_hautjardinI'm still trying to figure out what I ate in school, like you can have what looks like a burger on your plate, but you bite down and it's like someone sucked all of the burger out of your burger
Fun fact: high school musical was actually filmed at two schools they used east high for the inside of the school and Murry high for the outside my mom went to Murry high
When you jump up on the table and start singing, "we're all in this together!" And then get suspended for disorderly conduct and then tweet about white privilege.
That's legit 90 percent of all movies. Mostly none of the teens in the movies are teens there all in their 20s. And kids in shows be teens... Idk why. I think the adults playing teens. Is just because there alot better looking 20 year olds that have better bodies then teens and draw more eyes
@@shotzzy992good teen actors are rare and most of them are in school studying. So where do you find real teens for most of the cast when production is in full swing? Have you all thought about that?
My high school was where a large portion of Lemonade Mouth was filmed too. Some of the other scenes were filmed at another high school on the the other side of town. I even got to work with the Disney film crew while they were there and help set up lights for the final scene, and set up props. The rest of the technical theater group and I even got to play cards with one of the actors while he was on break. It was super cool.
My parents here in Britain went to the school where heartstopper was filmed, although it definitely wasn’t out when they were at school given Netflix wasn’t a thing and it was even illegal to ‘promote’ homosexuality in schools at that time here in Britain, it’s great how things have changed.
I went to the rival school down the street cause I was just outta bounds to go to east, and it was like night and day. east still holds that Disney money and uses it to make their sports programs insane 😭😭
they have never had “Disney money.” it’s just a regular school. their football team was really good for years but their other programs are pretty average
HSM came out when I was 14 and I remember going to a friend's sleepover back then and we watched it. It was honestly such a great moment from that sleepover. It's seriously one of the best memories from my teenhood. Still at 30 I cherish that point in time because HSM was so impactful. It really highlighted the highschool experience and how you can truly make it through.
LMFAO, I'm watching this vid at East High rn 😂🤣 I am on the basketball team for a nearby school called "Brighton High" and our varsity team is about to play them! Talk about crazy coincidences, watching a yt vid about the school I'm in rn 🤣 Edit: we just beat them 53 - 41!
The first movie came out when I was 7. I remember seeing High School Musical 3 in theaters (the first two were released direct to TV). I was obsessed with those movies all through elementary school and still love them and their songs for the nostalgia.
I wrestled for East because I went to a school very close by that didn't have a wrestling team. The place is a shit hole that they literally try to market to you by telling you the movie was filmed there. It has a 60% graduation rate. And no, there was never any dancing, just a lot of fist fights.
