This was absolutely peak Griffy. Bro performed 6 emotional states perfectly convincingly, and conveyed an entire story arc with seamless fluidity. This is better than most people deserve.
I always like to imagine his neighbors or roommates pleasantly reading a newspaper in the other room totally unphased just listening to him scream as he makes these.
Story of my life... As a biracial guy from Finland this used to happen to me all the time, until i just stopped saying certain jokes and stopped making fun of myself. People just take it too far and with certain type of scary energy that makes me just so unease.
I'm a white American and the majority of Finnish people I've talked to online give me superficial niceness with psycho killer vibes. Granted, I've not talked to many but I got uncomfortable with how they were endorsing killing Russian civilians
happens when you make fun of yourself, you make a misogynistic joke as a chick and suddenly this deep seated hatred of women comes out their mouths while they try to pass it off as a joke and you're just like 👁👄👁
I know exactly what you mean. This asian guy at my job always says something negative or stereotyping his ethnicity. it felt like he was inviting me to talk bad about black people. I said something and that man was relentless with the "jokes". I told him he needed to chill. Don't ever fall for that trap. Give them an inch, they'll take a mile.
Every part of this was amazing to watch. Even the smallest details like pausing for a brief moment to gulp or twitch etc but altogether, it was a masterpiece!
That one friend who always has to up the ante is always the least self-conscious. *_That's why you have to ALWAYS have the 4 different types of friends in your crew:_* 1) The level-headed leader that keeps you in check 2) The jokester levity appointee that keep it light hearted 3) The crazy down-for-whatever dude that throws the gauntlet 4) The oblivious hyper-racist bro that really creates bad situations for the three others That's the secret of friendship, yo!
@@Foofighters30 He's real in my heart. Todd One love homie we will rid the world of them soon. They will rue the day and night for we are all white, and if we aren't all white we aren't all right. Jk but funny.
@@Phecabooth it was basically B.E.T. playing all the music videos with more mature/explicit imagery/lyrics in them, mainly at 3am Friday through Sunday. Todd being white and possibly racist knowing about it, definitely required some questioning 😂
everybody has to have at least one lol me being black it's kinda fun, hell I tell jokes on my own race just cuz I don't hold that racism shit on my shoulders. But maybe only dark humor ppl can relate
Bro i am the white friend, and its pain when that happens because i have 2 friends are mean as fuck they are very good at acting/pretending, and sometimes they try to push me to be as much uncomfortable as they can with their jokes and fake arguments start offending each other with very heavy jokes and im like bruh what do i do ill just shut
@@SeaSerpentLevi If it's that crazy, I wouldn't keep hanging with them. A little messing with people is fine, but if it's all the time? 😒 Life's to short to be looking for a good time, and your good time just ends up being stressful.
I don't know... that scene actually scared me a bit. Like he was having some psychotic embolism burst in his brain. I think (just guessing) that Griffey is actually a pretty serious, chill person in his off-screen life. I dont know him, but I think a lot of people ask him for things that are pretty annoying. This acting sh*t he does, how he can just turn it on like a switch, and then off, is what I've seen guys do in prison before they go ape sh*t coo- coo for coco puffs. Smiling and friendly, then suddenly blood is everywhere... But, then again, it does make for a good video. Griffey, you make great content, be sure to take some time for yourself too brother.
@Agent J maybe blacks should just reject the way society has deemed them irrationally violent and stop thinking they need to fight people over words all the time?
@Agent J i agree in the sense that that's the reality we live in, but we live in that reality because society has made that the reality. i constantly see people say that blacks beating the shit out of somebody for being racist or whatever is ok or even admirable, or to downplay black violence as not a big deal. it is a big deal, a very big deal, and the vast majority of the victims of it are black. if society doesn't start pushing back against that it's never gonna improve, and young black men will continue to be the only demographic in the country who die from homicide at a higher rate than from accidents.
"Cooking $25 soul food at their dead grandmother's house" was way too specific, I'm dying 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I can imagine Griffy's family doing this, then Griffy roasting them in this video, and Griffy not being invited to dinner anymore 😂😂😂😂
This reminds of this regular customer that used to shop at a store I worked at. Black guy, probably in his late 60s, every time he came in he would always make incredibly racist black jokes to whoever he saw. I’ve never had such awkward conversations on my life, and always tried to get the hell out of there ASAP if I got stuck with him.
Yea it was the worst. He would start every conversation by saying, “Guess where I just came from? Jail.” Then move on to talking about whatever black employee was in the store at the time. Something like…”Gee….I don’t know about _____, something about him just seems untrustworthy and he seems lazy. Do you know why?” We probably should have kicked him out but it was like a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation. Who would believe a kind old black man was kicked out of a store for being racist against his own people. That was the kicker, he was super nice and always said all this shit with a big smile on his face, lmao.
The film industry is in shambles. Nothing but political narratives. Highly unbalanced gender/race "quotas" (not every second person in the world is LGBTQ) to virtue signal. None of it is about the art of capturing humans on film like it used to be. To capture the psychology and emotions of humans and their interactions. To explore new ideas and create something to capture people's imagination. It's all gone, it's f'n sad.
Reminds of that scene in Captain where people say Marvel is way too emotional while having a poker face for most of the movie. Comparing that scene and Griffy's skit, he would have won 5 Best Actor awards by now
