Jess is honestly incredible. They got married and she moved across the world and has been supporting Gabe emotionally and financially, for years. They then moved to Florida so he could be with family and improve his mental health. Everything she does is for him... I would have told him to get a job literally anywhere. She has soooo much grace. 💕

My boyfriend is in a similar situation. He has been beating a depression for the last 1.5 year, while I have been the one working, so this hit really deep in my soul. It's a beautiful thing you're both doing

Seeing how Jess held your fort at 23 - the same age as me - has been very inspiring. I'm sure this resonates with the rest of us who are still finding partners or our passions, or maybe even pursuing an education good enough for the world while being in a rough mental state. Yet seeing Jess be so strong has gives a motivating push because it's not easy when her husband is in the middle of that valley and she's trying to support him physically and emotionally till he reaches the other side. It's beautiful yet such a rare sight. I'm in awe and pray to reach that level of perseverance and strength. And of course, hats off to Gabe for acknowledging her for everything she's done with no expectations, and getting to the top of that valley because you saw her struggle with you. Hats off bud.

I’m only half way through this video but watching this is triggering me a lot. I’m about to turn 24 and I feel like I have nothing to show for it. My fiancé keeps saying everyone moves at their own pace but I just can’t help but feel stuck? I keep waiting for signs from God but i can’t help but feel abandoned. It’s good to see that everyone goes through these phases

I’m literally in tears because I identify with Gabe’s words so much.. I felt like I had nothing in my hands anymore and time kept passing by and it got worst. I’m so happy that I found my own way to my future. It’s not like i’m already where I want to be but I’m happy that I’m trying and I just hope that one day I’ll look in the mirror and I won’t feel disgusted with where i am in life and I feel satisfied with what I have

I don't normally comment on videos, but I had to say this. This past year, my fiancee and I have gone through a similar thing and it was the hardest thing for me to deal with. She graciously took it upon herself to build towards things for the two of us when I was in a place that I felt I couldn't. We're getting married in a few days and watching this felt very purposeful. Hearing the course of both of your steps and how you've come to create a newness in you is encouraging and i felt I very much needed to hear. Gabriel! I normally don't leave comments but I had to say something. You had me bawling. This resonated with me in a way I don't even know how to express. I am a creative also and the timing of your journey is almost parallel to mine. I went through a depressing time right before 2020 as well, and I was super pumped for what was in store for the new year; for it all to go "down the drain". I've had to completely hand everything over to God multiple times (sometimes even multiple times a day) because now, after 2020, I know I have to rely on Him more than I might want to. Then of course I start to freak out only for God to do something to prove that He is still in control. In the moment I feel like things are falling apart and then down the line I realize that all of that was for a reason. A better reason. Gods reason. In all honesty I don't know where this was going 😂 just wanted to let you know that I'm stoked for what God has in store for you! I've been watching your videos for so long I can't even remember when I first found your channel... and I've loved watching every moment of how God has shaped your life. It’s crazy how ironic are hopes for 2020 were. I always thought of 2020 as the year I graduate from high school and move half way across the globe to start university but instead it was a year of having no graduation and completing all of my freshman year of university virtually with crazy time differences. Crazy how 2020 happened.

Wow, so good. Honestly brought me to tears hearing you talk about God's will for you life and just saying "Here's what I want to do, do with them what You would please." I went through a valley in 2019 I look back now and I don't recognize myself. God legit wrecked my life then lifted me up higher then I could have ever thought. In 2019 I longed to be a worship leader or anything in the ministry or in the young adult ministry. I was leading songs every Sunday, but I wasn't the worship pastor in the way I wanted to be. It seemed like everyone else in my life was getting what they wanted and I was just sitting on my butt not knowing what to do. But 2020 was an insane year, the begining being changed by God and then the next running as hard as possible with God to his will. He has brought so much good fruit through the year 2020 including some bittersweet fruit of me getting the Worship Leader/Coordinator role at my church. I also got a co-leadership role in our Young Adults ministry. It was shocking when the worship pastor I had gotten so close to and super comfortable working with that I loved working with him so much I started compromising on my dreams saying "working with him is enough, I don't need to be the actual wp." God didn't like that. So He lead my wp to another church and left me in the position to take over. The amazing things is that in 2020 surprisingly in the midst of this pandemic God has surrounded me with a community that are family and willing to help in any way. Even the WP who God called to another church has told me over and over again that he wants to help me in anyway shape or form. That, yes he's not apart of our building anymore but he is still apart of the big C church his heart is still with us. The last month has been a struggle but a struggle where I can already see so much fruit. I have had to rely on God so much more. The Devil do be attacking, but it's encouraging to me because that means he's scared of what God has for me. But WOW God is so good with bringing you to where you need to be.

I knew this series would be deep, but this still caught me off guard 😅 It's so refreshing to see your regular youtubers tell you the behind the scene story. Thank you so much 💛

I feel so refreshed watching this. I feel like social media makes it seem like everyone’s life is flawless and to see two people who I have been watching since the literal beginning being so real is absolutely incredible. I hate that you went through what you went through, but as a believer, I truly believe that the Lord will use those seasons of pain to make an impact. I have been struggling with chronic illness for six years, and I would watch your videos (Jess + Gabe) in the hospital and imagine that one day, my life would look like that. Now, as you guys have been more open about what goes on behind the scenes, it has helped me immensely to see that even the most ‘put together’ people endure hardships. I guess I’m writing this to say thank you. Thank you for changing my perspective. Thank you for reminding me that pain unfortunately reaches all people. Finally, thank you for allowing the Lord to be highlighted through your valley. I truly believe that the Jesus is going to use this to change the heart of at least 1 person (Lord willing, millions).

I have watched Gabe since his vine videos,and then when he just started with Jess,and i'm still here. I'm really proud of how far you two have come. As someone who had depression for quite some time, just know that it is possible to get better. It is possible to live normal life. What i've learned going through all of this,is that we are not supposed to live in the future,but in the moment.I had goals and dreams that i wanted to achieve,and my desire to fulfill those dreams as fast as possible led me to depession.Because i already lived there,in the future,always thinking about those goals,but everyday i woked up being at the same place still struggling. I wanted to do more,but at the same time i wanted to stop everything and let myself go.So i did stop,i took some time for myself,i surrounded myself with my family that i've ignored for a long time 'cuz i was busy on my dreams. I started to do everything else that would make me happy,and i began to lear to be more patient. It does take a lot of time,but i have learned that we need to live right now and just be grateful for what you have. Reminde yourself everyday how far you have come and how better are you now than you were 2/3/5 years ago. Work to be better tomorrow,but be patient,even if you fail there is still a new tomorrow. There are a lot more things so say,and to learn. But 3 years after all i have been through,i have to say that i'm happy,i did achieve 70% of my goals,and i'm still working on it. But i'm not beating myself up anymore.I'm happy that i'm going in the right direction,and that i'm not in the same place. I hope for you Gabe to get better,i hope that you learn that it's okay not to be okay. I hope you learn not to beat yourself up for the things you can't control. Plans and hopes that you have for the future may not come in the time that you want them to come,but they will come someday. And that someday is all that matters. This is so powerful especially in the day and age we’re in I feel like we’re constantly trying to one up ourselves and others that we unconsciously never allow ourselves feel content and happy at how far we’ve come. Obviously there’s always room for improvement but it doesn’t always have to be associated with a negative feeling if that makes sense

My friends know how much I love you and Jess, but like this video just encompasses on how genuine and real you are as well as Jess. You could have hid all of this for years and years, and not told any of us about these personal things but it just shows how strong and resilient you are. I am going through something similar right now, where I had to stop everything because I was burnout and my confidence got destroyed.
