Years ago we were wild camping in Scotland and woke up surrounded by highland cattle mainly cows and calfs . Hell they are nosey they just came and watch us cook breakfast then left
Well... "What is it Mama"? OH!, That's what you call One of those Camping people". REALLY??? Don't they have a home or nothin'? No. But they think this is fun. Oh, my teacher told us about them once. Never thought I'd see one!
That is all cows really, my friend had a black angus farm in North Carolina and if the cows were in the field where my bus stop was they'd come listen and watch me as I whistled or sang songs.
@@SilvaDreams Can relate, I'm living right next to a farmer here in Austria. My garden is kinda elevated, so I can look down onto the meadow where he keeps his cattle, which is about 10 meters away from my deck. Sometimes, when the sun is shining, I take my bass guitar with me outside and start to play for a while. I tell you, each time I do that, the cows gather at the fence in order to listen to me. Some of them lie down and just chill like they were on Woodstock. . This has actually become a family ritual, sort of. My wife even makes some kind of apple compote for my visitors occasionally. :D
Aloha, I had a fold of 30 before I moved to Kaua'i. My mother was 90 and weighed about 100 lbs. She used to feed the bull, Magic< apples that she had gathered one at a time out in the pasture. Magic was 2,200 lbs. There are so many stories about Highlanders. They really are not like any other cattle. I now have 31 goats that I like a lot. I am a seventh generation herdsman from Vermont. There is nothing like a Highlander.
That is a beautiful setting right there, if I was a painter I would paint a picture of them. But I cant draw or paint. I love the camera. So If I was there, I would take some really good pics of him resting with his beautiful friend of nature.. Almost reminds me of the Marlboro adds, the cool cowboy with his beautiful horse.
Bulls are so amazing. The more you love them, the more calm and caring they become. Cattle love to be talked to. It's kinda weird, but definitely worth it.
The heck with anxiety medication! Start watching videos like this! So calming, so peaceful,. That’s what I miss most about my horse. I could just go to the barn and brush him and it was so therapeutic. Even just to go for a ride by ourselves in the woods. There’s just nothing like it.
Thank You for saving them and bringing them into your life and home. Showing people they can be loved and obviously share love with you. You are a beautiful man. 🐃🐗🐾💙💕🐂
Used to lay on my mom's horse when it would lay down and bask in the sun. I love farm animals. They all have cool personalities. Not just cats and dogs are fun to play with.
This is one of the coolest videos I have seen. You can't get any more non chalant than this beautiful animal who is just as 'at home and comfortable" with the human as he is with the animal. This is pure poetry.
I just stumbled upon this youtube video. And I have never ever seen an animal like this Scottish Highland cows. It is so amazing looking. Wow its like an alien to me. I am so fascinated by them.
What a beautiful, peaceful animal. Knowing that he's destined for a full life, with such loving care, and not to be slaughtered, it adds to his majesty. Do they sleep in that crouched position? How much does he weigh? What's the average life span of this breed? Thanks for sharing your great channel.
Curious if you are open to people visiting. I’m fascinated with watching & learning about herd behavior, mostly equine, but now, cows too! Your guys are just precious. The video where you talked about Hamish getting an Uber, was beautiful, made me cry, in a good way🥰
@@naitranaitra8196 Show me a river in the West that is as polluted and disgusting has the "sacred" Ganges. Nobody cares as much about the environment as white people do, despite being heavily industrialized.
@@PendlayRoe well,I guess you forgot about industrial London, lol. When the country got so polluted that a species of moth evolved to change its damn color lol
I was born in England. My Mum was Scottish, and when we would visit her father, they would sometimes drove herds of Highlands through the small village. I instantly fell in love. Thank you for this beautiful film. I am trying not to get too weepy, for things and people I miss. Best wishes.
A beautiful beast....just look at the way he pretends to be staring at the camera....I'd make a horrible farmer all my animals would be my friends and wouldn't be able to beef up any of them😇
Last year I house sat for a family that had Highlands. They were really cool and although they sometimes got a little rough, all I had to say was "please stop you're going to hurt me" and it was like they understood and chilled out. One day I would like to have a lot of land that my father-in-law and I can farm and have animals on. A couple of Highlands would make it just perfect I think.
As a busy doctor with this ongoing pandemic, i could literally use this type of relaxation. Just leaning at a bull with nothing but surrounded by nature,
