Excellent video. Makes me think on each creature of the myths and their methods to keep us away from the truth. I will think about this in my next scenarios. Make my players think (and be paranoid).

The Old Ones are real and Howard Lovecraft is their prophet. How do we know Lovecraft wasn't being sent visions from other higher powers? We don't.

Well if you're right, then in that case since we know the Old Ones have no interest in us knowing the truth, what Lovecraft told us must be tainted, and somehow designed to make us more vulnerable.

Years ago I sent Chaosium a few questions about game mechanics in Call of Cthulhu. I received answers to each question (I was thrilled that the answers were how I ruled on the questions as Keeper). I think it was Lynn Willis that responded to my questions back then and this was pre-internet.

why wouldn't the Deep Ones need roofs? there's no rain under the sea, but they live in a really 3D world, in which menace can come from all 3 dimensions.

"They have a base on Pluto" No. They have a base on Yuggoth. There are a number of Kuyper Belt objects that could be Yuggoth

@@SandyofCthulhu Either way, most scientists think that if you're going to build bases out in space, you wouldn't build them on the surface. Being on the surface leaves you open to bombardment by space rocks, the weapons of enemies, and solar radiation. The far better plan - and one an alien race would be just as likely to employ - is to dig down into whatever planet or asteroid. Put as much of the rock between you and open space. The Mi-Go don't show up on images because they hide _inside_ Yuggoth, whether it's a Kuyper Belt object or Pluto itself.
