You're an excellent content creator. You're clever, authoritative and have good recording hardware. Trivia, games, napkin folding; I am patient and will wait for you to decide what to post. Good luck.
I can relate to eating less on a basic level. Sometimes I say, 'I'm not hungry' when I am to avoid eating food. It's pretty lucky that I live in an environment where there's no real other factors that negatively influence my eating habits; other than my own skewed mindset. Thanks for sharing, it's very admirable that your being honest with your viewers.
I think it's really brave you are talking about your eating disorder. As you said, it's not something that's talked about enough. Hope you are getting back on track with your health now though! And don't fret the cam thing... we can't all look like identical unidentified blobs... Also, I really like the idea of more videos about the philosopy of gaming, gaming techniques, etc. Interspersed with all your different gaming videos, it could be your new thing. I actually do enjoy the fact that you are not focused on one game in particular even though I subbed for Battlerite in the first place so don't stress out too much about that!
That's really good to hear! I'm always worried about switching games a lot but I can't really help it unless something really grabs my attention (like Battlerite did)
I've followed you since the beginning of br videos. Men eating disorders are common just less talked about. It takes a lot of courage to address them and there is no shame in asking for help. Hopefully you can find a good treatment to help you overcome them and get all the good things you deserve. I like your content and wish you the best.
DnD content sounds great. Also, dont let the pressure of making videos add to your other stresses. Most of us will be here whenever you are feeling healthy. Thanks for sharing, cant imagine how hard that was.
Take your time, Xio! I love you for how you present your content, and how real you are. Whatever you make, I'll keep watching! You sound passionate about D&D, and I'd love to hear more. Good luck with finding the right format! Also great of you to share about your eating disorder to show other men this is not something to be ashamed of, and to find help. Thank you!
I'm glad people took me sharing that the right way. I was a bit worried about posting this, to be honest. But like you said, people shouldn't be ashamed of it. Thanks for the support :)
I personally love dnd, and really regardless of how long this period takes I’ll be subbed and watch your stuff because the things you do are quality videos. I kinda feel a lot of us are subbed for you as a creator right now. Take your time finding what you like talking about and take care of your health first. I, and we, will be here.
Hey Xio. I changed my diet to a vegan one some years ago (mostly based on ethical reasons) and turned back to a "normal" diet after 13 months, because I couldn't gain weight, even lost some besides being underweight anyway. As I started getting psychological problems as well, I needed to recognize, that that type of diet wasn't able to sustain my health, what meat afterwards somehow could do. Please get yourself some professional help and I'm sure, you'll find a way to get through this - the stereotypes about the "unmanlyness" of taking care of yourself(?) are indeed really updated. Thanks for the inspiring output and please feel free to just keep doing Vids YOU like. For my part I subscribed to your channel because I deeply appreciate the way you are and not the specific content you produce. All the best. xoxo
That sounds like a pretty similar situation to me then! Even though I eat meat now, being a veggie definitely gave me a different perspective on food (in a good way). I still enjoy vegetarian food, where before I used to think a meal "wasn't complete without meat". It's given me a deeper appreciation of how to put a meal together... and how insanely good Indian food is; with or without dairy and meat
I really want to talk about D&D. And Savage Worlds, too, which is another TTRPG which I absolutely *love* but there's no content for it on RU-vid (or very little, anyway)
You're THE reason I fell in love with Battlerite. I honestly would never have stuck with the game without your intro and discussion videos. I'll always be a subscriber. Thanks for your honest discussion about your personal issues, it was really refreshing to hear you talk about it. I may not click on every video you post, but you'll always have my support!
i understand you so much. i can only speak for myself, so i was really happy that you never showed youself on camera, because i think it is much more pleasant to watch videos without someones face.i think its not so important who someone looks like and for so i had my own imagination of you in my head (witch looked pretty good and nice). i always looked your battlerite videos and sometimes i just listened to your calm friendly voice, it made my quiet happy.
We're all messed up in some way. Your battlerite videos were amazing, and I'm glad to have been able to subscribe to your content m8. Whatever it is that you decide to do, you will succeed. Skinny men unite!
I think you are a very wise person, at least you have this image in my mind. I obviously subscribed for battlerite content but i have learned to enjoy your person and your philosophy maybe even more than your content. That's why i won't unsubscribe. Just do what you like and we'll watch it, or maybe we won't but you should ofc give it a try, just to avoid regrets. Much love on you and gl hf for what's coming !
This video showed up and I immediately got sad because I remembered the good old br days... rip my ex fav game upd damn, that eating disorder sucks, best of luck to you, and more motivation to eat well :) !
Battlerite player here, I truely enjoy your DnD content, and Its brought intresting perspectives to my own homebrew group :) When it comes to content - just do you!
I would love it if you did more variety stuff! Additionally, you mention in the video that you've always liked the psychology end of things, and this is something I myself am really interested in and have always really appreciated when you talk about teammates and how to deal with teammates in BR. I actually use a lot of the tenents you talk about in your videos for BR for other games as well since they generally apply so well (things like moderating your gameplay style to your teams instead of expecting them to play with you, for example). I also kind of wanted to comment, I think it's really awesome at the end that you speak about having issues with eating and eating disorders. I don't have an eating disorder myself, but I do have 3 different GI disorders and I have to be really careful about what I eat and how much I eat, and it can create a lot of really similar problems where sometimes it feels easier to just eat nothing and have no stomach pains than to eat, even if it is unhealthy. It's easy as a guy to feel like nobody cares or supports you, and I had a really hard time getting support from my coworkers and some friends because it was just kind of expected that I would silently deal with it. It's really important that more people see other people being open about their problems, and I really appreciate you taking the time to talk about it in your video. I've been subscribed for quite a long time now, and I look forward to seeing more of your videos. =D
i also have this problem like you, than if i feel not good in my life i nearly stop eating, i never have problem with my figure or so but i cant get some weight and sometimes if other say they would like to be thin as i am it makes me sad, because they often dont know or understand that i dont like me so thin like i am. women always think they have to be so thin for beeing attractiv but this is not true. its way more important that you are healthy and that you feel yourself happy in your body. i just wanted to say you thank you for your content for battlerite and i hope you will sometimes play it again, altough it is sadly dead
maybe you should try to make vids for different games and ( hopefully ) something new rare and underrated, maybe not even online games, not just focus on one, you can see which one you like the most and continue with that one.
EDIT: I'm so proud of you. I'm nearly greetin watching you talk about this because I'm so proud of how far you've come. You are incredibly talented and look at all these amazing comments from people supporting you. love you. Now back to the original comment : I was gonna like this but there's 69 likes so I feel like I can't 😂
Thank you for everything you done I was really bad at shooting games liek apex but your aim video help me a lot I just wanted to say whatever you post I will watch your content is amazing an I truly appreciate your hard work
Subbed for your recent linux gaming video. As a new sub, all I want to say is, make the content that you want to make. As long as you're happy, your fans will be happy as well.
@@XiomaroTV Haha no, I guess I have clicked on the video too fast and youtube could not handle it ;D But after watching, I have got to say that it does not really matter to me what game your videos are about. Admittedly, I have originally subscribed for Battlerite but after losing interest in the game myself, I stayed because of your new content. You are a very sympathetic dude and you should not be so restrictive about your uploads imo. Btw I really appreciate you being honest about your problems. I hope you will feel better in the future, so you won't feel uncomfortable sitting in front of a camera.
Yoh Xio, just make scattered videos for games you like. Its a format that has proved very popular. Its something you havent really tried yet. Also doing this will also make the people stay that enjoy your content and yourself as a person instead of only supporting the channel for 1 single game. This way you will get much more loyal followers anyways and you'll find yourself sourrounded by more supportive people :) Have a nice day ^^
Well I can't speak for everyone, but I watch you for you. Play what you want man. :) A channel can grow around a personality. People will come and go regardless. Those of us that have stuck around for this long will probably stay regardless I'd say. Also D&D is on the rise in most of the world from what I can tell, or geek culture in general tbh, so that would probably be pretty well received if you feel like making them. Maybe try pictures and illustrations as part of the videos to get around the camera problem? There's a guy known as MrRhexx here on youtube that solves it that way. :)
I've been subbed for a while now and for some reason we keep playing the same games. I think you should just play whatever u like and most of us will watch since tbh that's what you've been doing for a while now.
I subscribed initially for the Battlerite content. Its really sad to see a game with such potential dwindle. Even though I have absolutely no interest in any FPS content, I will stay subscribed just for the fact that you make quality videos and I would like to support you and this channel. I would love to see some DnD or other Tabletop RPG content though. I recommend the game "MASKS" - Its superhero themed and more focussed on storytelling and character development rather than min-maxing numbers.
I've actually read the Masks book but I've never played it. I wanted to know a bit more about PbtA and I heard it's a good place to start (I also read Dungeon World which seems really cool). I really like how much PbtA games try to keep the story moving forward without the risk of constant rules lawyering. I need to actually try it out sometime
I haven't played battlerite in over a year but I enjoy watching your videos anyways. Idk how health insurance works in your country, for the eating habit I'd recommend talking to a professional about it since it sounds like there is an underlying reason for it that would propably help to talk about. Sorry if this is too personal.
If you make videos which you like to see, other people will also see it. If people see the happy and positive vibes from the videos, they will come back for more. Stay happy and healthy !
The problem with battlerite wasnt really the lack of esports, no bpl was kinda sad i guess but really an esports scene whouldn't have saved a shriniking playerbase. Content would. Ik u are mostly based around multiplayer only games but i kinda liked your dnd content and id like to see you cover baldur's gate 3.
I'm super interested in Baldur's Gate 3. I have to be honest, I haven't looked into it much beyond watching the trailer and watching one interview with one of the devs and a guy from WotC. But I'm definitely keeping an eye on it!
To be honest, back in the day when you made Battlerite videos, I just subscribed because you told things in a proffesional way and I didn't have to watch the video again to understand what you just said, not because I like the game Battlerite, actually I hate it because no matter how hard I try, I always get stuck in a medium skill level 😂😂. I watch every one of your videos it doesn't matter what is it about. However I like OW sooo I dont mind videos about it. 😇
Hey xio, I'm not sure either what kind of videos you might want to make. I do think that you have a great sense of awareness when it comes to analyzing. Something I notice when it comes to content creators or anybody working is that they excel in what they enjoy doing. Yes it might be difficult if you dont have any particular thing of interest but then why not bring the audience on a journey trying to find whatever you might want to do? You might lose a portion of your audience if you switch types of videos, but for a reviewing channel or analyzing channel I think variety is a good thing. I've been following you since br and I stopped keeping up after a few overwatch videos. I personally also enjoy D&D but on an extremely casual level. For me it's something I want to do myself so watching someone else play seems less interesting. That said I think they're probably is a market of people who would want to see d&d content. I'd personally like to see you try to find a way for d&d to work without it being a 14 hour long process or even find games to analyze and let us know what's are its strengths and weaknesses. But whatever you want to do just go for it. You can always build an audience! :)
I'm actually the same with D&D. I don't enjoy watching people playing it all that much. I do like watching videos about build ideas or advice on how to DM and stuff like that. So I'd likely be doing something in that vein
I've been watching your channel since pretty much the beginning of battlerite. I learned a ton from watching your videos. I would still watch your videos even if it wasn't battlerite, I also have stopped playing too since the company pretty much screwed the game. I would still watch your videos even if it wasn't battlerite. Also for your diet, just eat veggie burgers :)
Did you heard about RTgame? He was a TF2 video maker, then he decided to make any game, in less than a year he got 1M subscribbers... he was scary in the beginning too, leaving his confort zone, and maybe pissing fans off, but turns out everyone liked the change and today he is bigger than ever, and he enjoys what he does... you should too, do whatever you like, play what you want to play, and make vídeos about it, I'm sure it will be for the better...
Have you tried to play fighting games? Battlerite lost my interest over time but because of it I really got into fighting games. Probably my favorite genre for multiplayer games now.
If you wanted to do tabletop RPG stuff but didn't want to be on camera you could always do lore videos. AJ Pickett and like 1-2 others are like the only channels I know of that do D&D lore vids. Maybe like one channel each do lore stuff for games like Vampire: The Masquerdae, Ravenloft, Exalted, or Pathfinder, so it's a relatively open market.
I actually tried out Tabletop Simulator. It's cumbersome but it feels more like sitting around a table and playing with pen and paper. I'll check out takahata101 though. I need some inspiration :D
I suscribed to the channel because of Battlerite, it's a great game, but the creators couldn't push it as far as they should have been able to, so I understand if you are don't want to make videos about it anymore. Anyway, you said that you may make videos about D&D, and I think it's a good idea, but I would ask you to make some videos explaining the rules if it's not so much work, I know it's a huge game :/. Also, if you are interested in other type of games you should try playing Hollow Knight, it's an amazing game (it won the prize for best game of the year on 2017)
Yeah I think how to play would be a good place to start :) It seems daunting but 5th edition is actually really easy to get into once you start playing. The first few sessions can involve a bit of, "what does this spell do?". But the first time you take an enemy NPC hostage, make friends with them then give them a horse and wagon and set up a mobile baker with them... you're hooked.
I personally will stay subscribed no matter the content (though battlerite was the most fun to watch) And i'm also pretty much constantly malnourished but the reason for it is a bit due to the fact that in my area most of the food that gets sold here is just pure shit i usually gotta go closer into to town to get a decent meal but thats like a lot of work though also i am a pretty decent cook so i can make decent meals for me and my family but i'm incredibly lazy when it comes to this shit so i just eat raman and tuna sandwiches
Wouldn't it be possible to put a camera above the table ? I'd imagine it as the video only showing the table and hands on the table. Otherwise I have an eating disorder too (I don't feel hunger), so I often forget to eat enough, but I don't think it's really comparable. I'm completely transparent about it, hell I'm even a little proud I'm not fat like I used to be, and I'm probably not malnourished. Well I might be, but no one has said that to me, and I don't feel particularly ill ^^
Just play something viral that won't die anytime soon. But yeah I'm bored of everything as well except hearthstone. Btw you are a smart and charismatic individual and your weight is irrelevant as long as you're healthy.
Maybe do videos like Arch Warhammer. Meaning don't use a camera, just use Artwork of e.g. DnD "scenes". And talk over it. Furthermore, get better with your health!
you're at the point where the people still around from the battlerite days are here for your personality rather than the subject matter. pinpoint something youre passionate about and know a lot about then focus on that. i don't think your views will drop.
