You don’t understand what a bridge QB is. A bridge QB isn’t expected to win a championship. He holds the team steady while the team rebuilds for the next QB. Nothing is expected of a bridge QB except a .500 record. Russ is going to be the dude for the next 4-5 years wherever he goes. This time, he will choose more carefully. I knew the Broncos were a bad team for him the day the trade was announced. I didn’t think they had their sh!t together, they were in transition, they had no great weapons and an average at best O-Line. Plus, they weren’t on Russ’s list of prospective teams! But the plan was to keep Russ for 5-7 years! Now, two of those years are gone. Russ is 35. Okay, he’s not 30 but he’s not 40 either! He’s 35, and if he still has what I and many others believe he still has, he’s nobody’s bridge QB. But Russ is still a great QB. You don’t use him as a bridge QB…you want a bridge QB, get Geno Smith or Joe Flacco. Russ is still a baller, and he will be expected to take his team places.
Vic Fangio’s system is done in the league. If Philadelphia hires him they might as well go ahead and fire Siriani right now because that defense is gonna be atrocious
he's a stubborn old dictator who doesn't trust anyone or work well with others (hence why he hires recycled yes men like Matt Patricia to develop young QBs) and in the year 2024 he STILL values special teamers over offensive talents, he was in charge of everything in New England and his ways led to being one of the worst teams in all of football and still seems to expect full control of everything with a new team yet people can't figure out why teams aren't lining up for this guy? he became a dinosaur right before our eyes even as a sad lowly Panthers fan, i would have puked in my mouth if they hired him
Russ stays in Denver I’m calling it & they make the playoffs but two years after that they trade or release him .. don’t ask how I know … just don’t come asking me how I knew it … lol
if McKay is the one stopping it then he's the biggest genius in the building unless you'd rather see Matt Patricia calling plays while you spend high draft picks on guards and punters and prioritize pro bowl special team gunners over explosive offensive talents.....like do people not realize the direct correlation between New England falling off a cliff and Bill Belichick's antiquated stubborn methods?
@@mattcarberry368 - yes, I’d rather give the best HC in NFL history a chance to turn around this losing franchise over some unknown OC. It would be even better if Terry F stays on as GM and BB just does the coaching.
Bill should just wait another year and wait for the cowboys eagles or bills job to come online…. Falcons are not a good fit… no qb present, indoor, campy vibrant colors, southern team…. For Atlanta They need vrabel to toughen up and bring energy and get the most out of an average or slightly below average qb like he did with tanehill. For Belichick, bills ideal in my mind are the eagles…. They are in the northeast they will only need him for 2-3 years. Jalen and Bill are very similar personalities. They are the villain franchise of the nfl and he is the evil Sith emperor.
Colin can you please consider replacing JMac with John Middlekauf. I used to be a JMac fan but lately he is obnoxious and gives absurd takes (constant obsession with Brock Purdy, coming for Cam Newton) his comments on the air are out of pocket And sometimes offensive. When you take days off and he fills in for you the show is literally unwatchable. He has no chemistry with Alex Curry you can tell Alex can’t stand him either. Nobody cares about his twitter beef with Cam Newton. The guy should not be on TV. He reminds me of Tony Romo. John is way more professional, respectful, and intelligent. Hes knowledgeable about what he does and you two have amazing chemistry. Im sure JMac is a good guy and a hard worker but good lord he’s hard to listen to. Just my 2 cents
Harbaugh didn't get along with then GM Trent Baalke . Baalke was already telling players he was going to fire their coach at the end of the 2014 season. Trent put in Jim Tomsula (5-11) and then Chip Kelly (2-14) . Then Baalke got fired himself in 2017 because going 7-17 in their brand new stadium after Harbaugh led them to 2 conference championships and a Super bowl was not a good result.
There’s a market for Russ of 5 to 12 teams, depending on what happens with the draft and what short and long-term strategies teams pursue. Bet on three things: (1) Russ will start for a team next year, and (2) That team will be a contender! (3) Russ will pass for 4,000+ yards and at least 40 TDs.
@DeCurtaRican He'll be 36 next season, has an albatross for a contract, and has become a total distraction. He is not a fit for the Raiders at all. He might not be completely done as a player, but he is no starter anymore, and that's what we need.
